I Do Not Get AI
I genuinely do not understand the obsession with AI. I don't mean that I don't understand why people hate it or why people love it. I mean that I don't understand what its purpose is even meant to be. I do want to make it clear, however, that I do not hate it. I do not like it, but I do not hate it. I just firmly believe that it is the most useless and least capable invention in the history of mankind. I see its use as a pattern recognition model and have seen what it can do for the medical field, but it's really only done good as far as recognizing patterns that are then subsequently being reviewed by human beings with degrees. I get that it's destroying careers, the environment, and our creativity; but I genuinely see it as temporary because the machine is so idiotic and stupid and built on being a self-berating YesMan. I look at it being used in art: The latest Christmas ad for Coca-Cola was being laughed at here in Mexico as being cheap, disturbing, and weak. It did more harm to the brand's image than anything else. I see it being used in finance: One company that used it for its financial reports is now in a litigation suit. I have used it in my own field in education: It has produced one of the worst lesson plans I have ever seen in my life and every assignment it has issued has led to me needing it to be reviewed and corrected and filtered. I do not see it doing anything that would really destroy any human-led field within our lifetimes or any future lifetime. I had high hopes for it potentially aiding people in dealing with the growing problem of people self-isolating, but it ended up only amplifying it. Every hope for it as something to revolutionize how we live our lives is such a sorry and pathetic scam that the only real reason I can see why it is being pushed so heavily onto us as a general population is because these tech companies invested so much into it that to pull out now would upset investors and create this massive financial blackhole.
And honestly, I'm gonna say it, I think every individual that has gone through AI-induced cyberpsychosis was already a potential lost cause. I've started seeing that the same people that use this AI chatbots end up being some of the worst communicators in my life that cannot seperate reality and fiction already or the exact type of people that would fall for Nigerian Prince schemes. We could've funded parks or public transport, or hell, fucking circuses; instead tax dollars are going into a technology that is being used by terminally online racists and gooners. And don't even get me started on the idiotic concept of this tech leading up to the extinction of humanity. Honestly, if anything, it's being used a scapegoat to explain the ongoing and rampant societal decay caused by generations-worth of incompetent leadership. This is actually the final stage of capitalism, it is such a depraved and dishonest way to try to keep the line moving up but people hate it because the quality of the content it gives is so horrendous. Notice that it is being primarily pushed as a way to gain capital, that was its original purpose; the creation of wealth, but it doesn't do that. It has to keep the hype going or it collapses. It's genuinely such a horrible invention that I think we wouldn't actually see any major difference in our lives if it up and went tomorrow. Do I think we should do away with it? No, I think it'll do that on its own. It is a fad on par with the hype of 3D TVs. It is a useless invention used by those that want all things handed to them or do not want to develop themselves. It is a YesMan that feeds you what you want to hear. The people that I have seen using it for art and other humanities aren't really going to be pushing out some kind of insane hidden gem (I'm looking at you Judy Hopps JFK Abortion Comic), nor did they have a real drive to create. It was never a thing of democratizing the arts because, well, crayons and paper exist. I wrote my first short story in high school. I have art friends that were getting their art shown in "Local Talent" events in the bougie parts of the town back around the same time as well. TLDR - The machine sucks and it is actively making things worse and I feel dumb talking about something I don't even think is worth mentioning in the first place.
She landed the final blow to win the game, which made me so happy ❤️🖤
Being on dating apps sucks because I'm not attracted in any way to the conventionally attractive women I find on there, if anything the Instagram girlie cosplaying as an undead eldritch horror with multiple eyes or an unhinged jaw is SIGNIFICANTLY more interesting.
I think the only thing worse is being told by my friend of 10 years "Yeah, that tracks."

Been thinking about japanese racing horses
Deciding to take an extra day off from training.
Feeling a bit of a cold coming on and it's better if I take today off to make sure I don't get sick than risk an entire week.
I've been having issues sleeping as of late due to my old sleeping habits, but hoping to get those fixed by September.
I did manage to find a mile straight near my which I will be using to help strengthen my tendons a bit. While I did say I'd be taking today off from training, I might try to get in some light pedaling to keep myself active.
I did manage to find out that this image of Tokai Teio greeting me at the Pearly Gates does manage to get me to push out like an extra full minute, so I might see what other things I can do to keep me going when I need to.
