decembers will come and go but the feeling of loss pain and devastation will always remain however one tries to twist it. i hope for the day jonghyun stops being treated as tragedy porn for the masses and stops being reduced to this tragic figure who's only ever remembered for what happened to him. i hope for the day his name isn't surrounded by a thousand trigger warnings that he's not just some topic to be evaded that he's not treated as a throwback memory from a company who never gave or will ever give a fuck about him as long as it's not profitable to them. i hope for the day he stops being treated as a cautionary tale of this industry's evils and is instead celebrated for his music artistry and all he stood for. i hope for the day he's remembered for his immerse talent passion and gentle soul his transcendental voice and his consoling words. a man with so much love to give a man who would never hesitate to bare his soul to the audience countless of times who proudly spoke up for minorities at the risk of his own career a man who made it his life's mission to be nothing but a a source of comfort and love. i only pray that your soul has finally found the peace it's been longing for. it's not too cold up there on the moon right? rest easy my most beloved.

i’ve appeared as a guest a few times on the radio program he hosts. we’ve never met up in private, but we do exchange messages from time to time. we’re getting to know each other through these brief conversations. i wake up early in the morning, and he heads for bed at the same time that i’m getting up. so naturally, we’ve found ourselves only exchanging messages at this time.

he envies me for being able to get up early in the morning. but in his daily routine of working late into the night, getting up early is nearly impossible.

when i told him that the cafe i stop by every day has a large window that fills it with bright morning sunshine, he said he’d like to try some of their coffee someday. but he said he probably wouldn’t be able to because sunlight is too much of a burden for him. i told him that the light shining at that hour isn’t sunlight, but sunshine, so it would be ok. he asked me how sunlight is different from sunshine. i said, sunshine doesn’t beat down on you like sunlight; rather, it quietly and gently embraces your skin. he said just hearing about it made it sound warm and comforting. then he went on to say he would come and visit soon. after that, we made several such plans that amounted to no real promise.

someday, if a suitable morning comes, i would like to gift him with the tender sunshine that i greet each morning. i don’t know when that will be, or whether such a day will ever really come, but while it’s on my mind i should try sending him a message today.

choiminho_1209: first grand prize for Best Artist in 2013….. we really cried and laughed a lot then….. while I clearly remember we told each other not to cry and receive the award happily, I can’t remember who cried first, but ….. as times passed where we worked hard, tears streamed down in 10 years, we received an award at MMA. I really want to thank every staff and shinee world again, and thank them once more. whether it’s back then or now, we perform with sincerity and give it our all, we always do our best because that’s SHINee…..
