My apologies Gwennie, my life is simply not as thrilling as you think it might be. Goodness, nothing as ridiculously fanciful. I caught up on homework, got through some novels I’ve been meaning to read, and accompanying mum to some of her tea luncheons.
So nothing particularly exciting happened for you? Hogwarts has yet to let us down in terms of buzzing activity, I’m sure your disappointing summer will be alleviated soon. I-I shall stick to my books Gwennie, but you feel free to enjoy some fantastic escapades for the both of us.
Don't be so modest Hessie, I bet your life is a whirlwind really! Maybe your problem is that you're so used to the adventures in books that you're immune to the adventures happening all the time in real life! After all, going for tea with your mum sounds like quite the outing.
I'm afraid not; it was all quite dreary. Still, got a good bit of Quidditch in and spent a couple of weekends with mum in London. Thing is, she's so busy with work that I barely see her even when I do go to stay. But no harm done, eh?
Oh Hessie, by the end of term I'll have you running riot on all sort of adventures, mark my words! In fact, you'll probably have to right books about them, and other people will read and then be terribly envious. Sound good to you?

wanderlust and nostalgia [sirius + gwenog]
Sirius hadn’t expected to run into Gwenog Jones, of all people. He always assumed her proper place was on the Quidditch Pitch or in some club meeting. Knowing that even busybodies take time to smell the roses was… oddly comforting. He smiled at her and offered a soft chuckle, nothing loud enough to echo off the walls. "I’m stupefied," he admitted, smile still lingering. "I didn’t even know you walked places. I always assumed you did everything from the seat of a broom.” He slipped his hands out of his pockets and let his eyes sweep her form. It was obvious, he knew, but he got away with it often enough. “So why are you out? Just to break the rules, or to see what other lost souls are haunting the corridors?”
She knew that look: "Sirius, I do have a life outside quidditch" she laughed. Since deciding to focus fully on the sport, more and more of her acquaintances associated her and not much else. It didn't bother her so much; quidditch was what share cared for most.
"Funnily enough, I walk just fine," she smiled, not missing his once-over. She resisted commenting on it: the attention was probably what he wanted. And if anything, Gwen certainly wasn't going to give him that. "Neither, actually. I just fancied a walk. The Hufflepuff dorms are always so stuffy - it's hard to sleep sometimes. Although, I'm sure you know exactly what the dorms look like, don't you?" She gave him a coy smirk. The whole of Hogwarts would be able to understand those pragmatics.
I’m afraid the fun police has arrived. Failure to comply with these rules will result in house points deduction, or detention. Trust me on this Gwen, you’d rather not want that. [smiles]
Oh Ted, you can't fool me. Although, you should definitely keep up the police act - it's sort of hot. In a charming, authoritative way, you know?
But yes, I'll skip the detention if that's alright with you.

I suppose the only consolation is that you should make this year the best yet, then. Go out with a bang! Or at least a small pop, just to celebrate making it through seven years.

Gwennie! I’m so happy to see you, also. Terrific — and yours? Oh please, you know whirlwind romances aren’t the type of thing to occur in my life. The only adventures I’ve had, are the ones I’ve read on printed pages, I’m afraid. I know my life seems utterly dreary compared to others, but it’s my life nonetheless. I’m mildly suprised you didn’t get caught up in some daring adventure of your own.
Hessie! I was relying on you for some exciting anecdote! It's a shame. What did you get up to then, if it wasn't being swept off your feet by some dark, handsome man?
Me too, I feel completely cheated by fate Hessie, truth be told. Well, hopefully lot's will happen this term to make up for a pretty average summer. And if I have any say in it, I'll make sure that all the adventures that we have are tons better than any in books. That's a promise!
Oh - yes. The eggs here are perfect, but what’s even better is the bacon. It’s the right kind of crispy and god the smell that radiates off it is just.. amazing.
Oh you and your bacon, Peter! If bacon were a person, you two would without doubt be the best of friends and you'd probably end up replacing James, Sirius and Remus in an instant!
