"Sir? You've been in there for hours. Sir? Prince Endymion? Is anyone in there? ...If you've snuck out again, I'll wear your skin for a cloak."

Endymon sat alone inside the throne room admiring the portrait of the Princess in the Moon. There was absolutely no reason for their love to exist - they didn’t belong to the same realm, they did not share the same traditions, there was nothing but their love for each other and their desire of a new Era and peace.

Was that enough to justify his love? Was that enough to justify his desire to defy rules and be with someone for the rest of his life?

He barely knew her.

Their last encounter had been odd. Serenity and Endymion shared a kiss - a soft and delicate peck - and soon were found by Venus and other guards. The argument had been heartbreaking culminating with Venus’ threatening the Prince and advising him to stay away of his beloved Princess. How could she not understand the purity of their love? How could she not support?

He did not want to hear from Kunzite either - it was not as if he was any better in this. Ignoring his Shitennou, the rebellious Prince hope to keep the man away from the room. From him.

Ok, to be honest, the translation is somewhat off here. The original line is closer to ゾイサイトを可愛がっている, which translates closer to “he finds Zoisite to be adorable/precious/beloved”. So not nearly as strong of a phrasing as a translation suggests and does leave some room for interpretation one way or another.

Classic anime, though, was basing the characters on the materials collection, though. It was pretty much all they had available because it ran concurrently with manga. So they did not invent their relationship out of thin air as some people would like to believe. And, therefore, yes. Yes he does.

Drooling. That was exactly how the strong Shitennou found his Prince. The book covered his face and perhaps to the untrained eye Endymion would've appeared to be reading, but Kunzite knew better.

Hearing Kunzite's voice made Endymion practically jump from his seat. With his hair in disarray and drool in the corner of his lip he stood up. "Yes, I finished the book." He spoke slightly desoriented.
