It's that time of year

So I'm pretty sure that I kin Donatello Versus, I made a sideblog to talk about it but I'm still too scared to post on it.. Any advice for someone new to this?

OHH !! HELLO ! I am by no means an expert and I am still figuring stuff out but I will do my best !!

The biggest thing I think I had to learn was (in the case that you have memories/believe in past lives/etc) not to dwell too much on the past or what you/your kin has done (I am DEFINITELY guilty of this and it made me Very miserable when I first found out I kin Giorno because I was just . Racked with guilt Constantly jdjdjfhsj)

It probably also doesn't hurt to keep a degree of separation between yourself and your kin . It may be a personal issue but I experienced A Lot of disassociation post-kin discovery. Which is . Not Good probably

Also . Don't be afraid to try things out (even if only privately) ! Worst case scenario, you realize you're wrong . I'm certain it has happened to most of us at least once . And try not to worry too much if things aren't exactly clear to you . You will learn things naturally about your kin as time passes (I'm still learning/questioning things about Giorno and it's been like. A year-ish?)

Hmm. I think in general being Fictionkin is very subjective . Everyone's experience is a little different . Don't worry if things are different for you than they are for others . My advice would be to just try to feel things out

That's all that's coming to mind right now .. Beloved mutuals if you have anything to add feel free to do so . I am Not all knowing I probably missed something

Adding onto this

This ties into the whole "don't dwell on the past" thing but I think it's important to be careful with how much you're seeking out sourcemates, ESPECIALLY after first discovering a kin (at least in my experience, I've noticed I feel Very Strongly about Everything at first) .

It may be different for other people but for myself I find it's healthier to sort of,, passively find sourcemates (through mutuals and browsing the jjba kin tag every once in a while) rather than doing kincalls, because that just led to me feeling incredibly awful when I didn't find canonmates (which was absurd expectations but oh well)

Again ! A lot of it is subjective and finding out what's best for you ! Just be aware of your mental state and try not to put yourself in the torment nexus

I like them! I was mildly worried that they would be VERY different from how I imagined them but I'm pretty content with them ! Now we just have to pray for Hot Pants. . ... .. (haha pray. Get it .Because. Haha. Because.) (that wasn't intentional but)

Lucy sounded a little older than I was expecting but it was probably deliberate considering the . Plot. Johnny's internal monologue specifically had the exact breathiness(??) I imagined

i was hoping for johnny with more of/an accent at all but he still sounds nice !!!! and GYRO oh my god he sounds so fucking goodddddd... i miss him soo bad

diego sounds good he soujds very punchable /aff AND YAY YES BRITISH ...

we noticed that about lucy too but didn't consider why but im nodding as much as my tiny amoeba head can... the others i dont think enough about to have opinions on but steven sounds very accurate even if we recognized the va instantly

im so hype to hear the others im most curious about hp and magenta magenta for sure cause they both have veeery particular ways of talking if i remember correctly...

I Initially didn't want to do this because I have no idea how to draw stands (especially golden experience) but a really cute idea popped into my head so I was obligated to.
