cannot emphasize enough how good it is for you to make something with your hands. whether it’s cooking or knitting or drawing, it will nourish your soul. every time i cook i feel so much more energized and present, no matter how complicated or simple the dish is. and to hold the thing you made yourself in your hands, even if it didn’t turn out perfect, is even more beautiful. i promise that whatever you choose to make, it will help you in so many ways

if you’re in you’re early-mid twenties and they fucking suck, i promise they fucking suck for most people because it’s the time when you are really figuring out who you want to be how you fit into the world who you should surround yourself and it’s mostly misfires and painful learning experiences and reckoning with your childhood and learning to heal your deep wounds, it’s a very very painful transformation process and it doesn’t really end as you get older, you keep growing and learning, but you learn more and more the tools you need and you can equip yourself with them in times of hardship and find the spaces where you belong that can hold you

life works out. i cannot stress this enough. life always works out. it always turns out in your favor even if it doesn’t go according to the original plan. you may be utterly confused and lost right now, it may feel like everything is falling apart and there is nothing you can do to salvage any of it. but believe me when i say that this is just a transition period. things are constantly changing and evolving around you even if you can’t actively see that. life is changing you to prepare you for what is to come. you are growing and as you grow you are being built into the person that you are going to be. because see, life always has this funny way of working out.

Between editing and astrology I’ve also been tentatively working on a newsletter. It basically follows my personal life in terms of self-development. It’s called #projectgetyourlife. Each month will revolve around a book that I’m reading as well as the general theme. October is dreams, intention, and discipline. A mixture of prose and procedure. It would be a $5 monthly subscription bc the site won’t let me set it to $3 so I want to make it really worth it. I’m wondering who would be interested in something like this…? I’ll probably be doing it even if I’m just emailing the void Lol! Good for my brain🍸💚

I’d also love to do an end of the month video meeting on Zoom or Google hangouts to reflect on the book of the month and the lessons we learned from applying new behaviours within our personal lives! you’re allowed to get up one day and just decide to change who you are. dress differently, speak up more, laugh out loud even though you’ve never liked your laugh, say what you want to, say hey to people you wouldn’t normally, get that confidence going. we don’t have to stay the way people see us out of the fear that they won’t like the us we want to be.
