Height Difference Thoughts

My gf and I literally have literally 12 inches of height difference so:

Step 1 of Smol/Tol OTP:

Smol trying to be lowkey protective of Tol when cuddling by being the big spoon but it’s HARD BECAUSE YOU CAN’T EXACT JUST TUCK YOUR GIANT IN YOUR ARMS WHEN YOU’RE TINY

Tol getting pissy and putting all the important dishes on the top shelf

Smol not taking that hissy fit and hiding all the best snacks at the back of the lowest shelves

Clothes swapping but Tol can only take blankets (meanwhile Smol can wear all of Tol’s T-shirts like mini-dresses and look pretty rad)

Smol straight up sitting in Tol’s lap but it doesn’t hinder Tol’s eyesight at all so they do it all the time

Tol casually leaning their head on top of Smol’s head because they’re at that perfect height to do so and getting grumpy when the Smol wears heels because they have a harder time doing it

When they’re making out the Smol has to sit on the Tol because otherwise the Tol doesn’t know what to do with all their limbs

Tol forgetting that not all people see at their eye level and point out cool things that the Smol can’t see

Tol taking pictures of said cool things then bringing the phone down to the Smol so they can see it

Smol having to stand on stairs so they can kiss their Tol without neck strain

Hard time weaving fingers together when holding hands because the hand size is so different so they casually hold pinkies

Tol having a heart attack when they see Smol using their jackets and getting sleeve paws

Tol and Smol making out and Tol accidentally ENGULFS Smol

Tol using the Smol’s shower and having to bend down under the spray

Smol sleeping in Tol’s bed and realizing that they have a shit ton of space

Sleep clothing swap that works out pretty well because of bagginess

Smol x Tol Prompts

- Smol tries to pick up Tol the way Tol picks up Smol

- Smol is the stronger one out of the two

- Tol is the one who scares easily while Smol is is ready to fight everyone and everything

- Tol lowers themselves to Smol’s height and they are astonished at how short the Smol one actually is

- Smol is the one who takes no shit while Tol is the one who gets walked over by everyone so Smol teaches Tol how to stand up for themselves

- Smol wears Tol’s T shirt as a dress one day and Tol think Smol is absolutely adorable

- Smol dyes their hair crazy colours so Tol can find them in a sea of people

- Smol hops on Tol’s back everytime to greet them

- Smol is ready to fight someone who is bigger than Tol and Tol has to intervene and pick Smol up fireman style and carry them out of the vicinity

- Tol always goes to high five Smol but Tol’s reach is too far up, so Tol adjusts their high five reach and goes lower, and since this happens so often it becomes a natural reflex for Tol to give ‘low fives’ even with people who are the height as Tol

- Smol sits on Tol’s lap and Smol is the perfect size and when people realize this, they always take pictures of them together

- Smol and Tol have children and all the children are Tol and the Smol parent always gets over shadowed in the pictures, it happens so much that it becomes a running joke

- Smol gets a ridiculously tall hat, put it on and tells Tol, that they are now taller than them

- Smol loves to be the small spoon because they love Tols arms wrapping around them

- Smol and Tol take the cutest pictures of Tol holding Smol up off the ground

And their fingers barely caressed one another in passing; both of them constantly reaching in the dark for that moment of Light and memory.

[Letter]: A Package

To the Lord H. MacKay:

My good Lord, I write to you this day with no good tidings. Although you and I have never formally met, I feel that to preface what I am about to say is to tell you that I am her brother, and for all intents and purposes, her unofficial guardian until she comes of age to settle her affairs in her own turn. I had hoped that one day you and I could have met on less desperate terms, but it seems that the Light has a purpose for us all in this life, and ours was to converse through letter.

By the time this letter has reached you -- presuming that it will should my sister’s journal be updated to the address where you can acquire missives and packages -- it will have been some days since her accident. I am loathe to call it much more than that, for fear that it will be scandalized to something far worse than what my aging mother can reasonably bear in her vicious social circles, but with you I must be more frank. My sister is taken to her bed after a recent skirmish that had not gone according to plan. The beating she received at the hands of the enemy has left her closer to death than I would like to admit.

The physicians are unsure when she will awake, or if she will awake at all. My mother took quickly to her bedside when we were first told. Those first few nights were the most difficult as Marisol had taken to a fever and the healers were working almost around the clock to ensure that she did not burn away to the Afterlife. Thankfully she did not pass on and has remained with us for a bit longer. I do not know for how long she can hold to the vestiges of life, but I am certain she is hanging on as tightly as she possibly can.

I have sent our parents away under the guise that I will be here to wait patiently on my sister to come out of her deathly sleep, but I must be absolute when I say that I fear we will be planning a funeral before we plan a welcoming home. It is not an idea that I like to dwell on, but it is a reality of the extent of her injuries.  I bear you no ill-will, my Lord, as you have done nothing to place her in this current position. As her guardian, I was aware of the oath she had taken to your liege, and I was proud of her for it. She had found something of her own volition that created a value for her that was all her own. I know not if you are in a position to return, and based on her journals, I am unsure if your leaving meant you would return at all. I simply felt that as one man to another, you had a right to know what was going on.

Attached to this missive is a package Marisol had prepared for you and already wrapped. I had not the heart to open it to find out what it is, so I will leave that to you.
