how long were you in Iceland for! I went again at the beginning of the month (traveled around the southern region), and it brings me so much joy seeing the country :)

we were only there for about 3.5 days in february- we planned a short stopover on the way home from finland in hopes we’d catch the northern lights (unfortunately did not) and just did the southern region as far as diamond beach and back. we will be going back in the summertime at some point and exploring the whole country so this one was just a short trip to experience it in the winter!

there are a few reasons - mostly i’m really drawn to certain places, feel like i’m supposed to be there seeing and experiencing it and just overwhelmed by its beauty. a lot of the times i’ll see other people’s photos and videos and think it’s so beautiful i want to see for myself! sometimes i travel places because ive made friends there- like germany was never at the top of my list but ive been multiple times because my best friend lived there! and sometimes a good opportunity just comes up- my girlfriend already had a trip planned for greece + croatia before we met and she ended up inviting me along and fully changed her plans so we could go together! and that ended up being my favourite trip yet so very glad that she did!
