Golf like Ohana in Magical Maui

Maui, Hawaii – It’s only late December and already we are tired of winter so picture this…It’s just before dawn and the sky above the Au ‘aa Channel that runs between Maui, Lana’i and Molokai is tinged with pink as the sun kisses the top of the West Maui Mountains. You’re savouring the last sip of a perfectly brewed Royal Kona coffee before heading out to play your first round at one of Ka’anapali’s two resort courses when out of the corner of your eye you spot a spout on the horizon just before a majestic humpback whale breaches and dives deep. Amelia Island – Top 10 Islands in the United States

Fernandina Beach, FL – Amelia Island is located in the northeastern coastal region of Florida. Even though it’s only two miles wide and thirteen miles long, it’s a naturalist’s wonderland. Anchored by park reserves at each end, the city is bordered by the expansive white quartz sand beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and mounded sand dunes that naturally protect the fauna and wildlife. On your strolls you may encounter nesting loggerhead or green turtles, egrets, herons, whitetail deer and bobcats. Small in size but big on stature, it’s no wonder Amelia Island was voted one of the “Top 25 Islands in the World” by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler in 2013 and for eight consecutive years has been awarded a spot in the “Top 10 Islands in the United States”.

A Slice Of Myrtle: Pawley's Island, South Carolina

Pawleys Island, SC – The Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand area is a 60 mile stretch of coast line that is home to almost 100 top-ranked courses so choosing a handful to play can be a tough decision. On this trip we ventured to the very south end of the Grand Strand to explore the Pawleys Island region, best known for its’ “low country-style” layouts. These are courses built on former rice plantation lined with moss-draped hardwoods and surrounded by an abundance of marshlands. The flatter landscape and quiet serenity contributes to Pawleys Island’s reputation for being considerably more laid back than central or northern Myrtle, but don’t be lulled by the calm environment as you will be challenged to ‘bring your best game.’
