I’ve never posted anywhere before and I’m generally someone who only lurks places— but I am in desperate need of help. I’m trying to get out of a household that has been both mentally and financially abusing me. My parents are trying to run me down to nothing while threatening to kick me out and ensuring that I have no funds and that no one will be able or want to help me. This environment is growing increasingly hostile and I am paying outrageous rent to be in a house I don’t feel safe in and a room they use as storage.
I’ve had to expedite my moving process and plan to stay with a friend for a while so I can prepare to move into an apartment from somewhere that won’t be trying to ensure I don’t have the means to get anywhere as a form of punishment. My parents refuse to communicate with me about when they’re expecting me out, but I am not making the money to be able to keep up with their demands and I know that they will be kicking me out at the point that I run out regardless.
