two and a half years ago i fell in love with this band because of their incredible stage presence, their stupid keeks and their immature lyrics about the friendzone that had me dancing along in my car to them

and im sitting here two and half years later listening to their second album and im absolutely blown away by how much they’ve grown as musicians. every single song on this album has so much thought and emotion in it, they’re singing about real life (often stigmatized) problems that we all face, not just having a crush on an older girl.

they’ve really started something with the new broken scene and they’re helping each and every one of us more than they will ever know

the influence of their favourite musicians is evident, hell some of their favourite musicians wrote on the album with them and i am so so so fucking proud of everything that they’ve achieved, they deserve it all.

just goes to show, a little band from Sydney really can do great things…

Look this album made me cry and smile but hearing the lyrics “It’s gonna get better” from your favorite band…i broke down into a sobbing mess because everyone always says that it will get better but something about them…something about this(the new broken scene), makes me think maybe it will get better. I can’t thank 5sos enough for always being there when we need them and for understanding what we need. So to Ashton, to Michael, to Calum, to Luke, Thank you thank you thank you.
