Shouto didn't mind silence. He's used to it. Growing up isolated with no one but his father. It made Shouto easily irritated with loud noise and multiple people, and all his classmate knew that, so it was surprising when he migrated more with Bakugou: the loudest and aggressive teen.
"What fuck do you want, icyhot?" Bakugou grumbled. He had been sitting on the couch, snuggled up in a blanket, ignoring their classmates.
Shouto sat beside him. "Hanging out with you." He covered himself with some of the blanket, and when Bakugou didn't yank it off, Shouto took that as a sign to scoot closer.
"We're not hanging. You just showed up and sat here." Bakugou looked at his phone.
Shouto smiled, then leaned back against the cushion. It wasn't as loud. The noise came mostly from the kitchen where others were eating and chatting.
"I finally know why I like being near you," Shouto said absentmindedly.
"Why's that?" Bakugou faced him with a curious look, like he had also been wondering.
"You tell people to go away. No one bothers you. I'm not like that. I only avoid, but with you, you're straightforward," he explained.
"So you're with me because no one is around me? Or that I tell people to fuck off?"
Bakugou stared at him for a few seconds, then said, "Huh. And here I thought that you're near me because you like me."
"I wouldn't be near you if I didn't. You're my friend,” Shouto said, giving him a smile.
Bakugou’s cheeks turned pink. "We're not friends," he mumbled.
"No." Then he placed his head on Bakugou's shoulder. "We're something more."
