Nyx, Noctis and Libertus are out fishing together at night at Vesperpool. A demonized fish was on Noctis' hook and was defeated by Libertus and Nyx. Out of curiosity, Libertus had simply bitten into the raw, dead fish and eaten some of its flesh.

Noctis: *is still completely paralyzed out of surprise*

Nyx: "Why did you eat that? I told you not to eat any forbidden sushi."

Libertus: "I was hungry, and the demonized fish looked delicious."

Nyx "You're always hungry, that's why you and Yamachang ate Robert back then!"

Libertus: "I was curious to know what his meat tasted like. And he was really delicious."

Nyx: "Robert was my favorite Malboro! I found him as a sweet little orphaned stray and raised him by hand. He always loved playing fetch with me. Crowe had specifically taught him how to fetch."

*hisses with tears in his eyes*

Libertus: "He attacked me!"

Nyx: "He just wanted to cuddle! Robert was an aggressive cuddler."

*sniffs and makes big, cute, sad cat eyes*

Libertus: "He bit me!"

Nyx: "That was a love bite and a sign of affection!"

*hisses and cries even more*

Noctis: "Robert was extremely cute! I didn't know until then that Malboro's are actually peaceful. He always liked to nibble on my shoes."

*cries about it*

Libertus: "Stop crying now."

Nyx: "I’m going to tell my lawyer!"

*growls and hisses*

Libertus: "You don’t have a lawyer."

Nyx: "I’m getting one specifically for conversations with you!"

Libertus: "And how are you going to pay for him, since you’re investing your entire paycheck in our Galahd aid fund and for the care of Insomnia's stray cats?"

Nyx: "I’ll pay with the tears I’ve shed because of all your stupid ideas!"

*growls and hisses as he wipes away his tears*

Noctis: "Please stop arguing..."

*but they both ignore him*

Libertus: "Some of them is your fault."

*crosses his arms annoyedly in front of his chest*

Nyx: "I have bad ideas all the time, you're not supposed to do them!"

Libertus: "But it's more fun together. And you thought it was funny earlier when I slapped that demonized fish before you followed up with a roundhouse kick."

Nyx: *lets out his typical grunt to stifle a laugh because it was indeed funny*

Noctis: *didn't find it funny at all because the fish was creepy and disgusting and he just wanted to go fishing in peace at night*

This time it’s about Sonitus.

My headcanon is that Sonitus actually has beautiful, jet-black, straight hair, but he was annoyed by it and shaved it off.

Another headcanon of mine is that Sonitus is mute and communicates only through sign language and writing. Sonitus is generally very quiet and avoids pointless interactions.

Sonitus: *is annoyed by his long hair*

*don't want to be like a certain hero who spends too much time taking care of his beautiful hair*

*shaves his head but leaves stripes*

The next morning at Kingsglaive HQ. Sonitus, Tredd, and Axis are hanging out in the break room.

Nyx: *enters the room because he wants to get some coffee*

Tredd: *is shocked because Sonitus has short hair*

“Holy squirrel! Did you cuddle with a lawnmower?”

Axis: “Where’s your pretty, jet-black and pin straight hair?”

Sonitus: *shrugs*

Nyx: *silently walks backwards out of the room because he has a strange feeling*

Tredd: *notices Nyx anyway*

"Nyx you Asshole! You've got something to do with this!"

Nyx: "Fuck you, I'm innocent! I just wanted some fucking coffee!"

*runs off to his office*

Tredd: *runs after Nyx*

Sonitus: *calmly sips from a cup of tea and enjoys that Nyx is now in trouble*

Axis: "I'd better not ask any questions..."

Noctis and Libertus are sitting in the living room. Noctis is reading a book. Nyx, on the other hand, is on his way to the dojo and is braiding his hair as he goes.

Noctis: "Moonshine!"

*puts the book he's been reading aside*

The book is titled 'The Kiss of the Demon'. It's very steamy und spicy and falls into the dark-romantasy genre. The antagonist is a mindflayer.

Nyx: *stops and looks at Noctis*

"What?”

Libertus: "You're a book boyfriend."

*stands up and walks over to Nyx*

Nyx: "A what?"

Noctis: "It's the love interest in a romantasy novel."

Nyx: "Wait Starshine, is this the Booktok thing that you often talk about anonymously under the name 'Purring Book Corner' on Social Media?"

Noctis: “Yeah, and I already have the next book I want to talk about. I think you’d like it. Prompto recommended it to me, which is why I ended up reading it. Libertus likes it, too.”

Nyx: "I like to read myself, and sometimes steamy and spicy content."

Libertus: *laughs*

"One of the reasons why you love your grandfather's diaries."

Nyx: *hisses at Libertus*

"Starshine, you can read whatever you want, but leave me alone with your romantic fantasy stuff."

*pushes Libertus aside because he's in his way*

Noctis: "Moonshine, you're missing out on a massive fan base."

*pouts and walks over to Nyx*

Nyx: *sighs in annoyance*

"Look, I've tried this before. Romantasy doesn't get me. I don't get them. Aside from the fact that the fights are poorly portrayed and the female or male MC is constantly helpless. I'm not that kind of Booktok material."

Libertus: *rolls his eyes*

"Sure, Nyx."

Nyx: "Whatever, let me go train now, please."

Nyx tries to walk past Noctis, but he grabs him by the wrist.

Noctis: "Moonshine, wait."

Nyx: "What?"

*hisses at him*

Noctis: "You are a book boyfriend, and we are going to prove it."

*lets go of Nyx' wrist*

Nyx: *crosses his arms in front of his chest*

"Okay. How?"

Libertus: "By explaining the three qualities of a book boyfriend."

Nyx: *is even more annoyed because he knows the two of them will not stay quiet*

Noctis: "Number one: Long, beautiful hair."

*points to Nyx' loose hair, which reaches down to the middle of his calves*

"One or more tattoos."

*points to the tattoo on Nyx' left chest and then to the tattoo on his right cheek*

"Well-defined muscles."

*points to Nyx' abs*

Nyx: "Plenty of people have those!"

*is visibly annoyed and tries to walk away again*

Libertus: "Oh, we're not done yet."

*grins and keeps Nyx in place*

"Number 2.”

*turns Nyx toward Noctis so that he has to look at him again*

"Intimidating Warrior."

Nyx: *raises his arms to defend himself*

"Okay, this is too far. Ain't nobody gonna call me Intimidating."

*turns away from Noctis*

Noctis: "Oh, yeah?"

*raises an eyebrow and crosses his arms in front of his chest*

"You where often the one on the battlefield who brought Niflheimers to their knees with your fighting style. You defeated many MTs and beasts single-handedly. You take on Behemoths alone, while protecting Me and your friends with your life, like a Coeurl protects her cubs."

Nyx: *that hits a sore spot, because Noctis is right*

"Okay, maybe..."

Libertus: "Number 3."

*turns Nyx back to Noctis*

"Mentor or teacher role."

Nyx: "I've you here because I don't train anybody. I don't have any students, I don't teach any classes."

*speaks with a raised finger and reprimands the two*

Noctis: "You taught me how to fight with daggers and how to use magic."

Nyx: *growls and curses in the language of the Ulric Clan*

*turns around energetically, causing his loose hair to flow due to the movement*

Noctis & Libertus: *grin and speak at the same time*

"Book Boyfriend."

Nyx: “That doesn’t prove anything.”

*walks past Libertus, who lets him pass this time*

Noctis: “But it does, Moonshine. Prompto, Gladio, and Crowe all agree that you’re the perfect book boyfriend.”

Nyx: *doesn't respond and wants to go to the dojo*

Noctis: “Moonshine please wait.”

Nyx: *growls and hisses*

“What, Starshine? More of that fucking Booktok crap?”

Noctis: “Can I braid your hair? Please.”

*makes sad, cute cat eyes*

Nyx: *curses because he was the one who taught Noctis that look when he was a kid, and because he can’t resist that look on Noctis’ face because it’s too cute*

“Will you leave me alone with all that Romantasy stuff, then?”

Noctis: “Yeah...”

*gives Nyx a short kiss on the lips*

“You’re a book boyfriend, but only my book boyfriend.”

*grins widely*

Nyx: *growls and blushes*

One night at the camp of the Chocobros, who are traveling with Nyx.

Nyx: *clears his throat and then quotes a piece of folklore*

"Beneath the full moon’s pallid gloss,

A legend stalks where deepest shadows fall,

With jagged teeth like spears to pierce and toss,

And claws that slice like blades, both sharp and small.

It moves with steps a cat would make, and all

Who walk alone and sun-kissed are its prey,

It loves the fair-haired best, to hunt and maul,

The Freckle-Eater steals its souls away.

It does not crave pure flesh to sate its dross,

But feasts upon the spots the sunbeams lay

Upon a cheek; it counts each freckled loss.

With bloody, swift, and terrifying brawl,

It rends its tasty morsel from the mall.

A sudden pounce to snatch its prize by day

Or under night’s oppressive, dread footfall,

The Freckle-Eater steals its souls away.

You’ll hear no sound, no footstep to emboss

The silent earth, no warning, strident call.

Just then, a shriek of absolute chaos

That floods the dark, a terrifying thrall.

A life is snatched beyond the garden wall,

A dreadful price for golden locks to pay.

Beware the shade that seems so slight and small,

The Freckle-Eater steals its souls away."

Prompto: *sits by the campfire and quickly covers his freckles with foundation*

Noctis: "Prompto, you don't have to hide your freckles. You're perfect without foundation.”

Prompto: "I have to, otherwise the freckle-eating monster will come! Blondes are its favorite prey!"

Noctis: "There's no such thing as a freckle-eating monster."

Nyx: "I once saw one who, in the silence of the night, attacked a young, pretty blonde woman and tore her freckles from her body with his teeth and claws in a bloody manner while she was still alive."

Ignis: *adjusts his glasses and looks at Noctis*

"Recently, there are also said to be some who prefer to attack pretty young black-haired men because they don't want to eat vegetables."

Noctis: "Cut the nonsense, Ignis."

*hisses in annoyance*

There is a rustling in the bushes.

Noctis & Prompto: *scream in panic and hide behind Nyx*

Gladio: *laughs loudly*

"Don't wet your royal pants."

Noctis: *clings fearfully to Nyx and hisses at Gladio*

"Don't laugh, just look and see what's in the bushes!"

A black cat jumps out of the bushes and meows loudly.

Prompto: "Help! The freckle-eating monster!"

*runs anxiously into the tent to hide there*

Nyx: "It's just a cat."

Noctis: "Nyx? Can you please bring me a change of clothes..."

*utters these words barely audible and ashamed*

Nyx: *lets out his typical grunt as he stifles a laugh*

Gladio: "I told you not to wet your royal pants…”

Ignis: *sighs and shakes his head*

Nyx is vegan. Nyx drinks a lot of black coffee every day. Coffee is his staple food, safe food and comfort food all at once.

Noctis: *is being very picky again and picks the vegetables out of his serving and placing them on Nyx' plate*

Ignis: "Noct, if you’d always eaten your vegetables properly, you’d be as tall as Drautos by now."

Noctis: *wants to say something, but Nyx cuts him off*

Nyx: "Don’t fall for that, it didn’t work for me either. I’m vegan and my diet consists mainly of vegetables."

Ignis: *looks judgmental at Nyx and adjusts his glasses*

“I didn’t know coffee counted as a vegetable.”

Nyx: *a sore spot has been hit*

Aaaahhhhh!

Noctis: “I once heard that if people drink too much coffee, they shrink…”

*Ignis and Nyx glare at Noctis angrily*

Noctis: “I just remembered that Gladio wanted to train with me today…”

Gladio: "It was said to be a whole lemon."

Noctis: *swallows hard and looks at the halved lemon on a plate that Ignis is just placing in front of him*

Gladio: "Are you chickening out?"

Noctis: "No!"

*licks a piece of lemon, shivers through his whole body and grimaces as he does so*

Nyx: *takes the lemon from Noctis, sprinkles salt on it, and then eats it with the peel and the other piece as well, without making a fuss*

*Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis are speechless*

Noctis: *has to hold back a laugh*

Nyx: "That was refreshing."

Prompto: "You're insane!"

Noctis: *cries and wheezes with laughter because that's so typical of Nyx*

Nyx: "I grew up eating whole lemons with salt, just for fun."

Ignis: *adjusts his glasses*

"That doesn't sound healthy."

Noctis: *rolling on the floor because he's laughing so hard*

Nyx: *lets out his typical grunt to stifle a laugh*

"When you live with Libertus, stuff like that is normal."

Gladio: *just shakes his head in disbelief*

The details, such as there is, of the... wing accessory/weapon thing that I really have no name for honestly lmao that Ardyn uses to hit people when he's in the air

It's interesting, especially due to the fact when he summons it there is only scourge particles (as you can see) rather than any of the red of his Armiger. The idea that of all things he could use the scourge for he somehow figured out how to do this is pretty amusing icl It's also kind of funny because seriously imagine being attacked by this absolutely terrifying thing that looks like a human and can wield royal magic and disappears and reappears at random and then he just jumps for no reason at all and smacks you over the head with this LOL
