plot idea :
it starts off as a cliché highschool romance.
boy meets girl, they fall in love, cute accidents happen, like someone falls and the other one catches them, or someone drops their notes and the other person helps them pick them up while laughing together, and they have tons of fun.
then, in the middle of the book, the world just ends.
no warning, it just ends. and everyone dies.
then, we read the second half of the book,
which is the first half of the book again, except now we read it from the perspective of the two lovers, in the future, dead, looking over their past selves from heaven, and trying to warn them that the world was going to end.
all those happy, cute accidents? it was the ghosts.
the notes they dropped? they had notes about the end of the world on them.
the times they tripped? they were trying to tell them to beware.
but they didn’t notice. they were too in love.
but then the dead lovers realized that they had to stop.
their past selves couldn’t know.
if they did, they would try to stop it. and if they succeeded, they would never die, and they would create a paradox.
so we are now at the end of the book, with the two dead lovers stuck watching their past selves and everyone else in the world die, knowing there was nothing they could do about it.
this needs to be heard 👌👌
