Who's the most Gothic?

I'm gonna have to find a way to deal with the same character being submitted from different mediums (i.e. Frankenstein's Monster/Adam/The Creature & Victor Frankenstein having been submitted with both the novel and a specific film attached) - no sure I'll count them as two seperate submissions unless specified as such in the submission? anyone got any ideas

I suggest counting them as the same character, and let comments and reblogs specify “I would vote for Shelley book-accurate Frankenstein but not Del Toro Frankenstein” or “I don't claim the sixth item of propaganda listed because that's from the novel when I'm going by the broadway musical canon”

or maybe a pre-game where people vote on which one version of the character should represent all the versions in the tournament proper?

Most Gothic Character of All Time Tournament

Who's the most Gothic character of all time? Mina Harker? Cathy Earnshaw? Mrs Danvers? Someone else I cannot think of? This is what we want to find out. First, submissions. Submit a character here. Submissions remain open until August 20th or until we have at least 32 submissions. Reblogs are appreciated.

Character from a work of fiction that can be considered part of the Gothic literary tradition

I am not looking for goths, I am looking for gothic characters. These categories can intersect but often don't

If the work of fiction the character is from is not generally considered Gothic, please provide an explanation for why this particular character should still be in the tournament
