For anyone who’s feeling hopeless

Haven’t posted something personal here in quite a while but here I am, with a new found sense of purpose, feeling better than I’ve been for a long time, happy I haven’t cried in a while, and as a bonus, with a job I like.

I’m just writing this because for so long I felt stuck. I constantly looked back wishing things were different. 

I spent so much time thinking about the past, that I felt I had no hope or enthusiasm to think about my future. But here I am, the future is now, and it’s better than I thought it would ever been.

It’s okay if you feel lost. It’s okay if you don’t know exactly what you want. Shifting you mind from a negative mindset to a positive one can be such a big challenge, but it’s common for anyone who feels down to undermine what they’re capable of. 

With time, things get better. Time doesn’t necessarily make all the pain go away, but it creates a natural band-aid, reminding you of all your battles and how blessed you are for thinking that even though you couldn’t get through it, you did.
