"Now you know," Alice suddenly snarled, breaking through the tense silence that had spread throughout the field, "That's your future. Unless you decide on another course."
Confusion racked my body as I shivered, my paws becoming progressively colder and colder as we stood in that stupid snow waiting for this tense exchange to pass.
Aro seemed shaken - he warily glanced back at our small gathering before stepping away from Alice's stern figure. Quiet mutters filled the silence as confusion and bewilderment swept throughout the Volturi; the second king, Caius, became progressively more agitated as the seconds passed, "Brother! We must take action - we do not take treachery lightly."
"Not now Caius, you do not see as I do! The child is half vampire half mortal - there are no immortal children present at this gathering" he quietly answered.
Glancing up at Esme and Carlisle I threw them a bewildered look as I struggled to understand what was happening - the politics of vampirism seemed complicated and confusing.
Suddenly, most of the vampires turned to face the back end of the clearing as the crunching of snow grew in volume, two figures approached our groups as we collectively stared at them.
"This man was born of both vampiric nature and mortal nature - he is proof that hybrids can coexist in peace with our kind" Alice exclaimed as they neared, the pair coming to stop a small pace away from her.
"Impossible" Caius snarled as Marcus, the third king, tried to hush him.
"My mother fell in love with a vampire and gave birth to me - half vampire, half human. I am 150 years old and I reached physical maturity once I reached 14. My mother died during childbirth but my aunt and I have lived together as vampires for over a century." Nahuel explained as nearly everyone blanched at the revelation.
"Now you see - we can peacefully live as one, vampires, hybrids and shifters alike" Alice stated as she began walking back towards her family.
"Very well" Aro mulled over his thoughts, "We deem this a misunderstanding, we shall leave this a peaceful audiences - lest we must intervene once more".
"I assure you this will not happen again." Carlisle stated firmly.
The volturi began to take their leave, our figures relaxing as I turned and made my way towards my sibling, giving the preocupied egyptian coven a passing glance as I thought I'll find them later.
"The Volturi will nevewr forget this - we will all be in danger! We must go after them!" The Romanian coven pleaded and shouted as they tried to convince members of our group to follow them into the woods after the kings.
"Vladimir, Stefan - you must calm down. We cannot ruffle any feathers after today" Edward tried to reason.
"Idiots! They will never forgive us, you must remember that before you climb upon your high horse" Stefan snarled as the pair disappeared into the wind, snow and howling of cautious breezes sweeping their retreating figures away.
"Thank god that is over. I need to get home and sleep for days" I silently communicated to Leah and Seth as I stood next to them, our trio slowly making our way back into the forest line, giving the covens their own privacy and space to relax.
Hopefully I can speak to Kebi, Amun, Tia and Benjamin before they return to Egypt I thought as we made our way home, hopefully Emily made some muffins this morning.

Capitol citizens screamed in excitement as each carriage flew through the large stone arena, the only sound I could hear above the loud roar of the crowds was the large horses' heavy galloping as they pulled us through the designated track.
Chaff and I stared straight ahead - poised and stoic as capitolites begged for a simple glance. Not giving them the time of day became easier each year as I learned it was just as easy to stare blankly under the guise of stoicism rather than wave at the rich spectators. We weren't performing monkeys for them to poke and prod at.
It wasn't until district 12 entered the large space that everyone went truly wild - women and men alike screamed for Katniss and Peeta as they interlocked their hands. The famed star crossed lovers were extremely popular as of late, their double victory was a new and exciting spectacle within the capitol as viewers and game makers alike yearned for their survival and success.
I tried to zone out the rest of the parade as I quickly became bored with the whole preformative show, suddenly too tired to care whether or not the president would even be bothered - surely, the newest additions to the pool of victors were enough to entertain him for now, allowing the rest of us some breathing room.
Once the carriages had been directed back to the station where the horses would be fed, Chaff and I hopped down from the gold chariot in search of refuge; the place we could rid ourselves of those ridiculous costumes.
As I made my way towards the elevators in order to find myself a little peace before the tribute training began that night Chaff had found himself being tugged away by Haymitch once again. I had bid the pair a good afternoon before steeping into the closing doors.
"Don't you look terrifying" came the teasing voice of Brutus as I pressed floor number 11. I spun around to face him only to be met with the smug glare of this year's career pack.
"Don't you look smug" I responded cheekily stepping forward to hug him. He chuckled slightly as he lent down to meet me halfway.
"Stop hogging her" Enobaria's sharp retort startled me as she tugged me out of her companion's arms, "I think you look beautiful" she whispered in my ear before pulling away.
"Hey Enobaria, you look stunning" I responded softly before squeezing her hand and stepping backwards.
There was only one left of our small group I had yet to greet as she stood at her brother's side behind me, "Cashmere" I breathed as I pulled her into a tight embrace. Cashmere had been my first friend amongst the victors after my win, she had been the one to comfort me through my days of endless tears and night terrors when everyone else was too afraid to approach me. The poisonous gas had still been in my system when I was cleared for release into the victor's shared chamber - I guess they were wary it's violent influence over my normally docile temperament as it had lingering effects. But Cashmere had brushed off Brutus and Gloss' warning, favouring comforting me in the first few days after my victory.
"Y/N" she had whispered back as she squeezed me tightly before gently tugging me between her and Gloss as we all stood in the tight space of the slowly rising elevator.
We conversed quietly as Enobaria quizzed me on what I was going to do in the arena, who I was going to ally with etc, Brutus had gripped her hand firmly but softly as to calm her inquisitive nature. I had simply responded quietly saying I didn't yet know, missing the determined glances passed throughout the group.
Eventually, the elevator dinged signifying to our small group that I had reached my destination; quickly hugging each victor goodbye and promising I'd see them later I swiftly exited the cramped box, eager to rest for a little while.
Once again I found myself stuffed into another tight outfit, the designated training suits were almost bearable if not for the tight mesh it was somewhat made out of.
Victors were sat sporadically throughout the training arena, I found myself standing awkwardly in the corner as I tried to find my place alongside them.
There was one major difference between myself and everyone else in this game - I was the only person not supposed to win.
I found myself hiding behind a large piece of metal, the arena this year appeared to be a demolition sight, rubble, partially smashed buildings and half standing metal structures were everywhere.
The older boy’s voice taunting me as he searched for my small figure. I had found myself facing off with the last tribute standing, my theory that hiding and scavenging during the night had proved successful as I made to the final two.
Footsteps neared my shaking form as I tried my hardest to prevent my sobs from slipping from my tightly pressed lips. We had been like this for hours, me hiding and crying while Jori from district 4 hunted me.
Sooner than later the game makers will get bored I thought as I tugged my legs tighter to my chest - the small hole I had crawled into prevented my hunter from spotting me, without actually climbing into the space with me he would have never been able to spot my curled form as I shook.
“Come out wherever you are little bitch” his furious snarl rang out as he neared me once more.
The game of cat and mouse continued for a few more hours before a clinically sweet scent filled the air of the arena.
Taking a deep breath of the mouth watering scent drew me out of my secure temporary home, my empty stomach rumbling with vicious need as I clawed at the metal.
Emerging from the metal structure I circled the outskirts of the area in search of the source of the scent - it seemed to be coming from all around me.
I grew irritated as my search became frantic and I continued to come up empty handed - it seemed that as my anger and viciousness grew I became less and less aware of my own safety.
My own stomach’s disgruntled growling and roaring drowned out the sound of approaching footsteps.
Suddenly a solid weight knocked me off my feet, a pained gasp leaving my dry cracked lips as I tried to regain my balance.
Jori was on top of me, raising a long spear like metal stick as he tried to finally end my life.
Suddenly, in my panic stricken fight to get away from the tall boy I lifted my leg from beneath his wriggling form and kicked him straight in the nose, not even sparing a cringe at the crunching and squishing under my foot as I dragged myself away from his dazed figure as he dropped the spike and rolled onto his back away from me.
I grew even more angry and disgruntled as he continued clawing at my departing form, eventually giving into the growing rage madder haze threatening to overwhelm my mind as I began throwing punches and kicks straight back at him.
Suddenly, a cold rage pierced my being as I stomped and hit as his body - his weakened form now retreating as to protect himself from my furied hits.
I found myself stood over his trembling form, crying, pleading and spitting threats at my shaking self as I neared him.
In one final crazed move, feeling as if I was unable to control my own movements as a furious thunder rumbled throughout me I lifted the metal spike, and with all my might I lifted the spear above my head and thrust it down into his eye socket.

My heart stuttered in my chest as I watched in slow motion as chaos unfolded around me, my body moving faster than my mind as others continued forward in pursuit of Edward.
Frozen in place I felt Esme's cold nimble fingers unfurl from my fur as she too moved towards the Volturi at a neck breaking speed. My shocked attempts to shield her from the death of her mate had been too slow to protect her or take the brunt of the pain.
I was stuck in a shocked silence as my mind and body battled to decide what my next movements should be. It wasn't until Sam's sharp snarl, an order to move in on the action, cut through my scared stupor and forced me into a frenzied run.
The sound of boulders colliding echoed in my sensitive ears as vampire after vampire took another down in a frantic rage. Shifting my eyes across the snow covered clearing I struggled to decide where to run - towards Kebi, who was struggling a little bit with fighting off two members of the Volturi, or towards Leah, who was also fighting off a tall male.
It wasn't until I caught sight of one of the male vampires grasping Kebi by the neck that I was broken out of my trance like state - breaking out into a hectic sprint I managed to sidestep multiple crazed cold ones.
Quickly gaining on the small group in the tousle I managed to leap onto the man's back, tugging his head back and distracting him from his attack on the caring woman. Catching his skull between my jaws I crunched as hard as I could, permanently stopping his manic attack as Amun made his way through the hectic 'crowd'.
Pulling the scrambling man away from the pair, and the now defeated smaller male, I caught his eye as he nodded at me appreciatively and tugged Kebi away from our tousling forms.
I was becoming increasingly weary as I continued fighting my way through the clearing, my speed declining in multitudes, as even more vampires pulled at my fur or attempted to grab at me, in my hurry to locate the rest of the Egyptian Coven or my siblings.
I finally spotted Seth, his lean figure grappling with one of the large Volturi guards, his smaller build easily being overpowered as they fought - panic rose within me as I tired my hardest to get to him in time.
I had almost reached the two when I felt a rock like figure colliding with my ribs, cold hands finding their way around my snout as I shook, trying to knock off my captor as I struggled to keep my attention of Seth's tiring form. I felt dread rising like bile in my throat as I tried and failed to protect myself from the vicious vampire.
I shook and bucked until a piercing shock shot through my neck, beneath my thick mane, temporarily paralysing my attempts for freedom. Suddenly, the overbearing weight was ripped from me by two sets of cold hands.
Falling to the snow covered floor, I struggled to regain my balance as I looked up at Benjamin and Tia - the pair ensuring I was alright, as alright as I could possibly be after being bitten by a cold one.
I simply nodded as a form of acknowledgement before once again taking off to aid my brother - where he was I no longer knew but I did know I had to locate him as quickly as possible.
I searched for what felt like a life time as my heartbeat thundered in my ears, my blood suddenly feeling like a river of sludge as it pulsed through my weary veins - shifters were not immune to a vampire's bite, however, the time it would take to affect the wolf would never be the same. It depended on the age of said shifter as their strength and power dictates how much we can withstand.
Sadly, it seems my young age and inexperience would be my downfall of this fight as my body sluggishly moved across the clearing, slowly avoiding attacks and hits as I tried to find Seth.
Time seemed to slow down as I struggled to continue down my path, a loud yelp leaving my mouth as I was suddenly taken down by a solid form.
Unable to prevent any further attacks, my immobile body simply submitted to the onslaught of attacks on my furry neck. Sharp fangs ripping through the meat of my mane as my mind tried to focus on something other than the earth shattering pain flooded my body and mind.
My unfocused eyes landed on an approaching form as I struggled to take a full breath, an angel appeared behind the large attackers shoulder. A cold hand ripping his monstrous form from my own as I tried to look at my saviour.
Overwhelming, mind numbing pain overtook my body as the very hands that had saved me pressed into my wounds - Benjamin's shaking hands pressed roughly into the fur as I tried to weakly shake him off. He was attempting to recall what he had learned from Amun years ago, stopping the bleeding was the most important thing he could do in this very moment as I lay there trembling, short broken whimpers leaving my torn throat.
"Ssshhh, you need to be quiet. This will be easier if you make little sound" he pleaded as he tried to prevent as much blood loss as possible. The lack of focus, recognition and presence in her eyes caused the rising panic in his chest to increase by tenfold as he called for help from his mate.
Tia slowly approached, kneeling down as silent venomous tears built within her eyes, placing a cold, steady hand above her mate's as blood coated them, she whispered a quiet, "Benjamin, let her go. She's in pain, you need to comfort her - not prolong it".
"Bu-"
"No, we don't play god. She is not ours to keep, we cannot let our own desires cloud judgement of what is right" she stated sternly, reaching a shaking hand out to rub her nimble fingers through the fur near the shaking girl's eyes. Gently wiping away any tears that had escaped the resilient wolve's eyes as she rubbed down along her jaw gently to comfort the increasingly colder girl's shaking figure.
They sat there, slowly caressing the young girl's face and back as her breathing slowed, shallow puffs cooling against the cold air. The two mourning figures stayed there for a while after the shallow breathing stilled forever, Amun and Kebi had eventually made their own way over to the pair as they too mourned the loss of the wolf. How was it fair to find something so precious - only to lose it in the next second?
Benjamin's figure rose, shaking angrily as grief clouded his judgement. A furious snear overtaking his angelic features as he moved towards the rest of the action taking place between the hectic vampires and shifters.

Chaff and I were making our way towards our fellow victors, all of us trying to ready ourselves for the famed tribute parade - there was a tense sense of acknowledgement within everyone as they tried to converse quietly. "Just try to be nice, everyone here doesn't actually want to fight. We're only here to please the capitol's sick need for entertainment" Chaff murmured to me as we gently bumped into one another as we walked.
I hummed in agreement, mulling over his words as I tried to put on a facade of false happiness.
As we entered the spacious area we bumped into Haymitch Abernathy, the victor of the previous quarter quell, he was accompanied by the most recent survivors of the 74th hunger games - Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.
The outcome of last years game was unique as there were two survivors - it was a forbidden love story close to the hearts of many, leading to an outraged call of two victors as the couple tried to end both of their lives, an act of refusal to kill each other once they were the only tributes left alive.
I smiled at Haymitch as he pulled me into a tight hug, whispering a quiet hello as he pulled away to introduce us to his mentees, "This is Katniss and Peeta" he smiled as Chaff pulled the former into a tight squeeze, kissing her on the cheek and I shook Peeta's hand.
"I'm Y/N and this is Chaff" I introduced ourselves to the pair as Katniss struggled to regain her composure after Chaff's endeared fussing.
"Hi" Katniss muttered as Peeta greeted us, I could tell she was uncomfortable as she looked around at the plethora of dangerous victors.
"Well then - I need to catch up with my old friend here" Haymitch exclaimed, cutting off our awkward exchange as he tugged Chaff to his side, "You two go and get to know the other victors and I'll get yous when yous need to get ready for the parade" he called as the two men strolled away.
"Bye I guess" Peeta muttered as he smiled softly at the older pair before he excused himself, kissing Katniss on the cheek and walking towards the bathroom sign.
A silence stretched out between myself and Katniss as i tried to stop myself from staring at her, "I watched your game you know" she murmured, "It was messed up what they did to yous".
Swallowing harshly I ground out a simple "Yeah".
"I mean that trick with the gas was awfu- Sorry I didn't mean to pry or be rude" she quickly cut herself off as she realised she may have been overstepping some boundaries.
"It's fine, I watched yours too. Smart trick with the berries" I complemented as she relaxed a little.
"So, who should I look out for here" she asked after a while of quiet conversation that flowed easily between us.
"I'd look out for Finnick Odair - he's smart, strong and fast, the holy trinity, but he's really nice. Not so humble though." I laughed as we watched him begin to walk towards us.
"Hello ladies" I heard his devious drawl as I turned away, whispering that I'd see them both later - and a quiet good luck to Katniss as I brushed past the pair.
I found myself standing next to one of the large horses, petting it's soft mane when a loud voice in my ear scared me, catching me off guard as I twisted around to find the owner of the words, "Nice dress" Gloss laughed.
Rolling my eyes I muttered a greeting as I turned to face the victor from district 1, "At least you can breath in that outfit" I gestured to his bedazzled shirt, presumably matching his sister's dress as we gazed around the room.
"How are you feeling?" he quietly muttered as I turned to look up at him - his giant stature, similar to district two's victor Brutus, used to be a source of fear within me but as we got to know each other I realised there was nothing to be afraid of, he was a giant softy - the irony of that fact did not fall short on me as I was aware of his victor status as he was victorious within the games.
"You know - I'm not exactly ecstatic to be here" I laughed halfheartedly as he chuckled, "But what can I do about it, I'm sorry you're here Gloss" I sobered up quickly, "I know how much you and Cashmere mean to each other. It's shit that you're both here again. But who knows? Maybe there'll be a miracle and there could be two victors again. The capitol would hate to separate the two of you" I mused.
"Yeah" he responded sombrely, "I just hope it doesn't come down to the two of us" I patted his arm gently as he reached up and squeezed my hand.
Gloss and I had been friends for a year or so, we had met a few days after my victory but it had taken a while for us to warm up to each other.
I had been delirious, in pain and unable to understand that I was still alive when I had been escorted into the victor's shared chamber once I had been cleared that none of my wounds were life threatening. Only Cashmere and Haymitch had approached me on that dreadful morning as I lay crying on the couch in the communal lounge room.
She had sat stroking my hair as I retched into a left over trash can on the floor while he repeatedly explained to me that I was indeed alive. The rest of the victors had kept their distance those first few days as I commandeered the room that had been used prior to my presence to watch the game before they slowly began introducing themselves to me.
Gloss had been one of the last to acknowledge me, later telling me I had reminded him of himself after his victory, he had been gruff and blunt, scaring me and making himself appear quite unkind. Cashmere had reprimanded him at the time, telling him to be kinder and to make more of an effort but he had only brushed her off. Now, reflecting on his actions, I know he was only reliving his own trauma as I cried in the communal room for days, screaming in my sleep while I was tormented by my own demons.
We had only become friends in the last year as we all came together once more to watch the 74th annual hunger games, tensions high within the chamber as all of the current mentors danced around one another. My tributes had survived the initial bloodbath, a scrawny young girl and an older boy, Rue and Thresh - both afraid and too young to witness those horrors.
We had finally met properly in the dark hours of the next morning as I was unable to sleep, finding him in the viewing room, watching over his and Cashmere's tributes while they slept on the forest floor, Marvel and Glimmer I thought. I had cautiously approached him as I sat next to him on the couch.

"She's with Brutus and Enobaria, she is not doing so well with all things considered" he answered in a sombre tone. I could imagine being forced into the games, not only again but with your brother, would take a toll on ones mental state.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the 75th year of the hunger games" the capitol crowd roared with enthusiasm and excitement, "It was written in the charter of the games that every 25 years there would be a quarter quell, to keep fresh for every new generation the memory of those who died in the uprising against the capitol". President Snow's emotionless drawl echoed through the room I was sat in as I watched the dreaded broadcast. "Each quarter quell is distinguished by games of a special significance and now, on the 75th anniversary of the defeat of the rebellion, we celebrate the third quarter quell." I felt sick at the prospect of yet another group of children fighting to the death for Snow's sick enjoyment, "As a reminder that even the strongest cannot overcome the power of the capitol".
The president's dull boasting made me feel sick to my stomach as my heartbeat pulsed in my ears and a cold sweat formed on my brow - thoughts of these poor children, who were blissfully ignorant of what was about to come, overwhelmed my mind as I suppressed a shudder at my own memories of the games.
"On this, the third quarter quell games, the male and female tributes are to reaped from the existing pool of victors in each district", my own breathing stalled for what felt like a lifetime as the poisonous words left the pale lips of the old man.
Lifting myself from the old brown couch I had situated myself in earlier, I staggered from the living room to the small grey bathroom, releasing my small breakfast I had forced down. Gagging and crying, my tears and sweat mixed together forming a pitiful substance on the cheeks as I gasped against the cold tiles of the bathroom floor.
My mind spiralled as I lay there on the cold damp tiles, thinking about everything I had never done in my life - I had never even been truly loved by someone or loved someone in return.
I lay there until I couldn't cry anymore, eventually I had to get up and ready myself for the reaping - the final seal of my fate.
I found myself standing on the small stage looking out at the quiet crowd of district 11 as I nervously snuck glances at my fellow tributes, Chaff and Seeder - there were only three of us. Therefore, Chaff's place in the games was inevitable as he was the only male victor, but Seeder and I were both eligible for a place within the quarter quell. It wouldn't be fair to wish Seeder would be the name to be called out but I wouldn't say I wanted to be chosen either. This what the games does to you - it makes you wish for the downfall of others in hopes of getting above them, pushing others down for your own benefit.
The quiet murmur of the large crowd was drowned out by the loud beating of my heart as I shakily stood waiting for mine or Seeder's names to be called out.
The escort of our district, Clurmont, shakily cleared his throat as he glanced at us - pitiful and shameful as he knew he was basically sending us to our death.
"Good afternoon district 11" his deep voice boomed out, only to be met with silence as the saddened but presumably relieved crowd only stared at him. I knew they were happy that there would be no loved ones lost this year, but the loss of so many 'beloved' victors would hurt them.
Clurmont awkwardly cleared his throat and smiled as brightly as he could at the cameras filming this whole ordeal, "Welcome to the reaping of the annual 75th hunger games" he stated. "This year we celebrate the 3rd quarter quell with a special twist to usual games - our tributes being reaped from the existing pool of victors" he called out to the unrelenting harsh stare of the district.
"Without further ado, I will begin the selection, if your name is called out, please step forward" his shaking hands reached into male tribute bowl, a needless action as everyone present knew who would be stepping forward in a few mere seconds. "Chaff" he exclaimed as he turned to stare at the before mentioned man, "if you would please stand next to me" he quietly asked the tense man.
"Now, the moment you have all been waiting for, the female tribute taking part in the 75th annual hunger games is..." his voice echoed throughout the large clearing filled with silent spectators as all eyes turned to stare straight at me.
My breath caught in my throat, choking me as I was suddenly unable to hear anything other than my own blood pulsing through my veins. Seeder's gentle hand reached out to grasp mine, grounding me and pulling me out of my spiralling haze.
"Y/N, if you could please come her and stand with your fellow victor" Clurmont quietly pleaded as the awkward silence stretched out, probably boring the capitol viewers who thrived off our fellow tributes' breakdowns and emotional outbursts as the revelation of our places in these games and our predetermined fates.

Nerves wracked my body as I joined the pack, approaching the large clearing, vampires stood in numerous small groups as we neared them.
It was a cold, early winter morning, a quiet wind ruffling my fur as we stormed forward. Nearing the disjointed covens Sam barked orders for us to move off, joining each smaller group as to create a furry barrier between them and the Volturi - our slightly superior speed allowing us to act quicker than our colder counterparts.
As Edward explained to the opposing clan that our wolfish presence was not that of a threat towards their vampiric existence - but as a symbol of the peace we had curated within our coexistence - we stood alongside the vampires as Jacob surged forward to join his beloved Renesme. I found myself standing next to Emse and Carlisle as I snuck glances at the Egyptian Coven, catching Benjamin's eye as he nodded at me proudly, bristling with a quiet confidence I turned back to sneer at the cold vampires as they converged behind the three leaders.
Edward and Aro, the most powerful of the three men, conversed as Bella comforted Renesme until they were beckoned forward, to meet with the cold king.
Emmett approached the small group as Edward, Bella, Renesme and Jacob cautiously surged forward, forming an extra form of protection for the child.
Tensions rose within the crowd as the group met with Aro, with Renesme placing her hand on Aro's ghostly pale face - a cackling laughter filled the air as she silently communicated the answer to the argument being disputed and showed him the truth.
Suddenly, Edward turned, facing the treeline where Alice and Jasper's figures emerged from, quickly approaching the two large opposing crowds. "Alice" Aro's excited shriek filled the air as all figures present turned to face their mated pair.
Edward, Bella, Renesme, Emmett and Jacob retreated back towards us as Alice and Jasper approached the kings, Alice placing her delicate hand into Aro's excited embrace, showing him our future if he does not change the course of his actions.
Everyone held their breaths as Alice suddenly ripped her hand from his cold grasp, "It doesn't matter what I show you - you've already made up your mind" she snarled as she turned towards us, mouthing a silent "NOW!".
Confused, I looked around searching for a clue as to who she was talking to as my fellow shifters silently communicated through our pack bond, trying to figure out what this unknown plan was and who was involved. My eyes flitted around anxiously as I caught eyes with Amun, the confused glint in his eyes communicating to me that he was also ignorant as to what was happening.
Alice turned back to Aro as she bent and kicked him squarely in the face. Aro flew backwards as his guards rushed to grapple and restrain her from any further movement.
Jasper struggled in Demitri's grasp as he tried to reach for his mate, unable to due to the strength of the tracker and cried out for Alice as he fought to break free.
Bella placed Renesme upon Jacob's furry pelt as he raced off towards the treeline, escaping as to ensure her daughter's safety as the danger of this stand-off rose.
Carlisle shouted and sprinted forward, attempting to intervene with the attack on his daughter as Esme cried out, my body automatically moving to prevent her from chasing her husband into danger.
I flinched as the sound of boulders colliding filled the air, Aro's body crashing into Carlisle's as they fought in the air, fear coursing through my veins as Esme clutched onto my pelt.
Finally, the men's airborne figures fell from the their suspended positions as one body crumpled onto the blanket of snow.
Aro's maniacal laughter filled the air as he turned, lifting the decapitated head of the kind doctor and grinning at our shocked faces. Esme cried out a heartbreaking shriek as she fell against my body, I tensed as a still moment stretched out across the field.
Suddenly, Edward screamed in anguish and fury, racing forward towards the murderous king - setting off a chain of events that would forever change the trajectory of all of our lives...

I found myself back at the Cullen's territory the next morning, nervous for the strenuous training we were about to participate in and excited to see my newfound 'friends'.
The pack and I emerged just beyond the treeline of the clearing the vampires had inhabited as their own training grounds as Jacob, Seth and Leah led us over to them. Sam, our alpha, followed closely behind, silently communicating a message to stay calm, do as we are told and to not aggravate any of the vampiric guests.
Upon sensing our arrival, the plethora of vampires turned in our direction, wary at the sudden overwhelming scent of wolf as we approached in our large shifted selves.
My eyes instantly sought out my newfound infatuation as I scanned the group - almost instantly landing on Amun as he glanced over us. My eyes locked with his as he looked to me, lowering my head as a sign of respect and familiarity as he smiled subtly.
Edward's voice called out "This is Sam's pack, they've agreed to stand by us and help" he stated, "Don't be afraid of them, they are not the threat here". Sam stood beside him as Edward introduced us one by one to the crowd.
Eventually, Carlisle separated the vampires and wolves into smaller groups, allowing us to familiarise ourselves and begin training as to prepare for the potential confrontation to come.
I found myself in a group with Seth, Quil, Paul, Kebi, Carmen and Emmett - it was quite entertaining watching Emmett wind Paul up, hearing his mumbled anger through the pack's connection as we were unable to actually speak, relying on our body language and scent to 'speak' for us.
I stood next to Kebi as she tentatively ran her delicate hand through my fur, shivering as she slowly dragged her fingers through my soft coat. She occasionally whispered gently comments into my twitching ear as we watched Paul and Emmett jokingly wrestle.
We practised basic offence, blocking and defence with our cold counterparts as they taught us how to prevent ourselves being taken off-guard when in combat with a vampire and we taught them how to effectively exert their own strengths to take others down.
The smaller groups practised together for a while before we were brought together as a larger group to listen to Edward as he dismissed us, telling everyone to rest and be ready for tomorrows audience with the Volturi.
After shifting back to my human form I found myself relaxing in the kitchen with Esme and Kebi, "So, how did training go today?" Emse asked us as we sat together at the kitchen island.
"It went well, Y/N showed me how to protect myelf when in a hold from behind, she showed me how to shake the attacker off and how to make sure they stay down" Kebi smiled at me.
"Yeah, but you showed me how to make sure no one is able to get on my back without me being able to protect myself" I nudged her shoulder with mine as I grinned back.
"Well it sounds to me likes yous had fun today" Esme laughed.
We continued chatting for what felt like hours before I had to eventually go home to get plenty of rest, "Goodnight Kebi" I whispered softy in her ear as I hugged her gently.
"Goodnight Y/N" she whispered back.
"Y/N, dear, I'll walk you to the door" Esme called as she stood from the table.
"I'll see you tomorrow Y/N" Kebi called as she slowly withdrew from my embrace, calling for Amun and leaving to meet with her mate and coven for the night.
"Thanks Emse" I said as I also hugged Esme and she led me to the door of her home, "I'll see yous tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow Y/N" Esme called as I made my way down the driveway and into the night.

I once again found myself surrounded by the multitude of the Cullen's vampiric guests as we stood surrounding Edward as he discussed the peaceful approach we would be taking in regard to the audience with the Volturi.
"I'm not asking yous to fight unprovoked, I simply need to be able to rely on all of you if we need to" he stated, " I know it is a lot to ask of you all, especially the pack" he turned to us as we stood further from the larger group. "This is more dangerous for yous, yous can be hurt or even killed if it comes to that" we all mulled over his declaration as we silently looked between one another.
Seth stepped forward, "I'll stand by Jake no matter what he decides" he proudly stated, ever the lost little puppy, and all eyes turned to pin him in place.
"I guess I have to as well then" Leah begrudgingly mumbled as she tugged Seth back into his place between her and Jacob while I stood to her right.
All eyes turned to me, awaiting my answer I finally spat out a "As long as it is alright with Sam - I can't go against the Alpha, but I'll speak to him". My face heat up as I scanned the crowd of staring vampire, particularly catching on the Egyptian Coven, who I'd became so familiar with during the course of the day.
Amun caught my eye as he smiled briefly and nodded, seemingly a kind attempt to put me at ease under all the scrutiny while Kebi smiled brightly making my heart flutter in my chest. Clearing my throat I turned my attention back to Edward as I caught a flicker of shock and surprise pass through his timeless features.
The sun died down a few hours later as the group sat surrounding the blazing fire pit, situated in small groups forming a larger cohort trading stories from their long extremely captivating lives.
Garrett had just finished his tale, describing his multitude of fights on the front line of centuries worth of wars when the Cullen's previous confrontation with the so called 'new born army' was brought up - almost instantly capturing every person present's attention.
Emmett, stood scarily close to the fire and shouting exaggerated stories from the horrible day, began spieling about how the wolves had eaten some of the newborns. Only then did I pipe up "We didn't eat any of the vampires Emmett" I yelled over the sound of the vampiric laughter.
"You should have seen Y/N, big and fluffy, tearing off these idiots' arms as they charged for the pack! God, if my heart hadn't stopped beating years ago, I truly think it would have the moment she bit one of the men charging straight for Rosalie's head straight off" he yelled as he nudged my shoulder, somehow having made his way from the fire to me without me noticing within moments, teasing me and making the group laugh.
"Yeah, well someone had to save Rapunzel while you were off acting like a fool" I teased as Rosalie rolled her eyes, smirking, and Emmett feigned being in pain.
Laughter died down as vampires began to disperse in search of 'food', I soon found myself sitting next to Tia, warming my hands by the fire.
"It sounds like you're pretty good at handling things yourself" she said softly, referencing Emmett's earlier story.
"Yeah, growing up surrounded by rowdy boys who fight over the last muffin kinda forces you to look after yourself sometimes" I laughed, gently bumping my shoulder into hers as she smiled at me.
"Sometimes it's nice to have someone else look after you though" Tia whispered, leaning into my shoulder as if there were a secret to be shared, "mayb-"
"Tia, if you could come with me please, we need to make our final decision about what we are going to do as a Coven" Kebi said gently as she approaching, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder as she softly glanced down at me, smiling and squeezing lightly as she pulled away, Tia leaving with the soft hand, "I'll see you soon dear".
"Think about it" Tia purred as Kebi led her away by her hand, my eyes drawn to the connected palms as I mulled over Tia's statements, curiosity bubbling up from within me.
Eventually I made my way to find Seth, he was situated next to Tanya in the living room. Smiling softly I walked over and sat down next to them, startling Seth as he sprang up straight from his relaxed position on the couch.
"Relax" I mumbled leaning back and closing my eyes and patting his leg. I wasn't about to judge him for cozying up next to Tanya when I'd been practically following the Egyptian Coven around all day, drooling all over them like some over-excited huge dog.
"Busy day huh" Tayna questioned as Seth relaxed in his position between us, I could practically hear the smile in her voice as she lent into Seth's side.
"You could say that" I mumbled as I slowly began drifting off, only slightly aware that I was still technically in enemy territory - but in the relaxed environment of the Cullen's living room I couldn't help but want to finally sleep, the stress and anxiety from that morning finally catching up to me.
"Get some rest - you're going to need it for training tomorrow" Tanya advised as she slowly stroked Seth's dark hair - I'll need to ask him about this later, maybe when I'm not half asleep though...

Stepping into the kitchen I hummed to myself, a quiet tune, extremely conscious of the superior hearing possessed by the majority of the people in this house, moving quite quickly as to not appear sluggish or comically slow to the vampires surrounding me.
"Oh, this is Y/N" I hear turning the corner, revealing Carlisle and Esme conversing with both the Egyptian Coven and the Amazonian Coven.
"Hi" I muster, fully stepping into the room as all eight sets of eyes turn to pierce me, "Sorry to interrupt, I was just coming to see if Esme needed any help in here."
"I'm alright, thank you anyway dear, come here and meet our friends" Esme beckoned me closer as I hung back at the entrance of the room. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Benjamin grinning at me, amused by my awkward behaviour.
I slowly walked towards the group, my movements slow and wary, too cautious of startling any of the vampires who were all still staring at me as I let a small smile slip past my tight expression, relaxing at the thought of at least one familiar face amongst the sea of red eyes.
"I'm Y/N" I repeated Carlisle's earlier musings as I stopped next to the couple, his large stature dwarfing my own as I looked out at the two covens.
Suddenly, the tall thin vampire, belonging to the Amazonian Coven stepped forward, grasping the hand that once lay by my side, wrapping her cold delicate fingers around my warm in comparison fist, "Y/N?, what are you Y/N? You appear human, yet you smel-"
"Like the wolf" her kin, Senna, finished "Be careful Zafrina, don't hold her too tightly, they're still delicate".
"Ye- Yeah, I'm a part of the Quileute tribe" I responded, gently shaking my hands free from Zafrina's grasp "I'm not a part of Jacob's pack though, I'm still with Sam and the larger pack" I explained to the curious woman as she stepped back towards Senna, content with my answer.
"A werewolf" the quiet accusation came from the tall man stood at Benjamin's right
To satiate the unexpected but misplaced fear as I simply stated "No, we're simply shape shifters, the cold one- sorry, vampire's - presence triggers the change within us, but we weren't bitten of infected or anything. They're a different 'species' for lack of a different term and a lot less agreeable" I tried to joke as the man seemed to relax a little bit.
"See Amun, I told you she wouldn't try to eat us" Benjamin teased as he lent into the side of a tall, beautiful woman. I stared at her unnaturally captivating face as she laughed softly and gently swatted at his chest - a gentle moment of softness between two lovers I yearned to experience.
Swallowing, I refocused my attention back onto the older of the group as the woman I had locked eyes with earlier lent forward. Still embarrassed by my earlier outburst I tried to retain as much of my composure as possible as heat rose to my cheeks, "I'm Kebi" she introduced herself, "This my mate, Amun, and our coven, Benjamin and Tia" each vampire smiled at me, Amun's slightly strained, yet that was not unexpected as he was so tense moments before.
"It's nice to meet yous" I smiled, thankful my idiotic staring and coughing fit earlier hadn't scared them off or written me off as an idiot they wanted to avoid.
"Likewise, I like your bracelet, by the way" Tia smile gracefully at me.
The Egyptian Coven eventually ended up migrating towards the Cullen's living room, I tagged along with them, content with getting to know the four vampires as we chatted for hours - their stories and tales intense and captivating as they perfectly complemented one another.
Amun, the leader, was stoic and proud, yet calming and grounding.
Kebi, his mate, was captivating and beautiful, yet soulful and smart.
Benjamin, my first friend within the coven, was funny and joyful, yet strong and intelligent.
Tia, his mate and the final member of the coven, was gorgeous and creative, yet compassionate and gentle.
I sat surrounded by them for hours, captivated by their stories and their all engulfing camaraderie, until Edward's voice called out a plea, urging vampires and shifters alike to converge in a meeting outside.
When rumours spread around the castle, whispers amongst the lower guards climbing their way up the castle as they tried to tidy up the mess created by the nomad, Felix refused to believe them until he saw it with his own eyes...

During the quiet aftermath of the destruction caused by the reckless nomad had broken free, whispers of death slithered their way through the winding dark corridors of the castle, breaking through the tense silence of the stale air.
The guards who possessed superior gifts in comparison to the rest of the lower guard, Aro's higher guards, were destroying the remnants of the impulsive nomad, burning his limbs as to eliminate an hopes of regeneration and getting rid of him for good.
Felix was busy ripping the vampire's arms from his shoulder sockets as the doors swung open - Jane stood stiff at the grand entrance of the throne room as the three men turned to face her small figure, Felix, Demitri and Alec all froze at the horror stricken look on her already pale face.
Jane, usually poised and stoic now reduced to a stunned fool unable to speak, only ushered the three men towards the large doors as she stumbled her way down a poorly lit corridor. Confused, Felix rose, alongside his fellow guards, and quickly followed in her stumbled footsteps as worry creased their ethereal faces.
As the four vampires quickly made distance between themselves and the throne room, led by the spooked, pale faced girl, they turned left into the bedroom quarter of the guard's wing - ironic, as vampires don't sleep - however, Felix's beloved human mate resided there, therefor creating meaning to the rooms - when a familiar mouthwatering scent filled the air.
Blood
Panic seeping into the veins once filled with pumping blood, now, coursing with stagnant venom, overtook Felix as the familiar scent filled his nose and overwhelmed him and his fellow guards.
The four of them stopped where the scent was most powerful - outside the closed door of Felix and Y/N's sleeping chamber.
Hands shaking, Jane reached forward, wrapping her shaking, delicate hand around the cold metal handle of the large door. An overpowering, smell of blood and metal filled the corridor as the four figures tried to prevent the strong scent from filling their noses, as to regain the most control possible and find out what the source of the bleeding was.
The old wooden door creaked open to reveal a sight so sickening Alec hunched over gagging at the sight while Demitri stood frozen at Felix's right.
Y/N lay there, neck twisted at an odd unnatural angle as blood seeped from her slightly agape lips, back pressed against the cold stone floor of the room as her legs lay folded beneath her - as if she'd simply crumpled to the floor.
Not one thought crossed Felix's mind other than No.
He could only stand there repeating it over and over again - he didn't know when he began whispering, shouting it, screaming it but he found himself crumpled on the ground next to his beloved mate as he cradled her limp form as he searched for a sign of life. Her unfocused, glazed over eyes simply stared past him as he begged her to "wake up", repeating "please" over and over again.
Blood coated his hands as he held her head in this hands gently, softly shaking her in his scornful cries of hopelessness and despair, revealing a large gash on the base of her skull.
Felix sat there, crumpled against Y/N's lifeless cold form as his fellow guards moved around him, having regained their composure enough to begin tidying the room, removing as much of her blood as possible as to not trigger or upset the hulking vampire currently cradling his deceased mate.
Hours passed, Felix eventually being moved from the stone floor of, now, his bedroom to the bed, Demitri and their fellow guard Afton, struggling but eventually lifting him from his place against the stone to the plush drapery of his mattress.
He lay there for days, his friends coming and going, trying to break through his stone-like state to convince him to feed - his ruby red irises now pitch black due to the dangerous combination of hunger and fury.
Eventually, the Kings ordered Y/N's body to be removed from their chamber as they became annoyed with the guards' lack of 'consideration' regarding their wishes to continue with everyday life.
Prying Y/N from Felix's vice-like arms was a difficult ordeal which took a lot of time, bargaining and false promises and eventually ended in the silent repent of grief.
Felix finally let out a haunting cry, scaring the guards as they surrounded him, his large stature crashing through the wooden door, the very one they had stood frozen behind days earlier.
Upset, afraid and concerned the higher guards allowed Felix to take his swift leave as they stood frozen, unsure of how to comfort their giant friend.
It was said, whispers spread throughout the lower ranks of the Volturi, Felix never returned to his former self, a shell of who he once was - quiet, stoic, terrifying and formidable.
Simply, his heart may have no longer pumped blood through his body, but he died the day he lost his mate, his Y/N.

Every single pair of eyes in that room turned to stare at me as my face turned an amusing shade of red. Leah patted my back, attempting to soothe my ragged breathing as I struggled to regain my composure.

Taken aback as my heartbeat rose in my ears - I could practically here my own blood pumping through my veins as I tried to rid myself of the growing embarrassment of my outburst.
"Y/N, are you alright, dear?" Carlisle called as he made his way across the spacious room.
"I'm fine, thanks - sorry for interrupting yous" I mumbled as I finally gained enough control over my spasming diaphragm muscles to speak, "Sorry everyone!" I called out to the sea of pale figures.
A few chuckles resounded throughout the room as some vampire rolled their vibrant eyes as they turned their attention back to Edward.
Casting my eyes past the inhabitants of the room, my eyes caught on to the only red eyes still staring at my blush covered face. A bemused expression had made itself at home on his unnaturally captivating face. Benjamin grinned at me as I rolled my eyes at his amused reaction, turning back to focus on Edward.
"As I was saying, Carlisle may not ask you to fight, but I will" he stated loudly as hushed muttering encased the room as covens and nomads alike mulled over Edward's revelation.
Jacob, ever the leader, was the first voice to pipe up amongst the crowd "We'd be happy to fight alongside you if it comes to it" he said as Leah and I shared an incredulous look, silently communicating a what the hell is he thinking? without saying a word. Seth, ever the fun loving puppy nodded along smiling in the direction of Tanya.
Hmm... What's going on with him? I thought as I stared back at Tanya as she meekly shied away from his grin. Or maybe them? I'll have to interrogate him later once we were in the safe confines of our home.
Shortly, more voices filled the room - refusals and pledges of alliance alike filling what once was a tense quiet, now a chaotic buzz of anxiety, incredulity and excitement.
Quickly, the Amazonian's, Romanian's, Alistair, Garrett and the Denali's agreement to fight if it comes to that filled the sudden silence that replaced the chaotic buzz of the room. Quietly, sombre refusals came from the mouths of the Irish Coven and the Egyptian Coven - Benjamin's Coven - as self preservation overtook loyalty.
Carlisle plead for everyone to take a moment to think about their decision before agreeing to something so dangerous - Covens dispersed to take a moment to discuss their own opinions while nomads seemed to converge near the treeline, seemingly discussing their own reasoning.
Jacob had wandered off to play with Renesme as Seth took his new place next to Tanya, a spot he had come to favour in his short time meeting her since the wedding, leaving Leah and I alone as we pondered the consequences of Jacob's quick allegiance of loyalty.
"So fucking stupid" Leah scoffed as we sat on a wooden log facing a distinguished fire pit.
"I know but he can't help but want to protect Renesme - and he's known Bella for years, he won't just let her wander into danger if he can prevent it" I quietly counter argued as I kicked leaves and stones around on the forest floor.
"I understand that but he didn't even think to ask us what we wanted to do" she lowered her tone to match mine as she stared at nomad vampires dotted around the fire pit and tree line.
"You are a pack now, what the Alpha says, goes. My loyalties lie by you - I will stand by you and Seth no matter what yous decide and Sam understands that." I said as I stood, wiping the back of my jeans as I rid myself of any leftover moss or twigs.
"Are you going inside?" Leah questioned as she watched me stand.
"Yeah, it's getting a bit cold out here - I'm going to see if Esme needs any help in the kitchen" I called back as I stepped over the log and made my way over the backdoor of the Cullen's home.
When Y/N Clearwater meekly stepped into the Cullen’s home that fateful afternoon, she never expected she would fall so utterly in love with such a forbidden idea - if only that coven had known better to stay away, she’d never had gotten into this mess…

It was only a few days after the news of Renesme’s birth that everything went to shit - Bella’s transformation, the rapid development of the child which caused a growing alarm within everyone which spurred a sense of panic in me that I didn’t know I possessed and the pack fell apart, with Jacob, Leah and Seth leaving us and forming their own ‘mini pack’ - effectively shutting me out for good.
I hadn’t realised how much it had truly hurt me until a few weeks after the chaos when everything had settled that they tried to reach out to us again and rekindle the relationship that I had finally snapped - hours of screaming, shouting and crying had finally tired me out enough to listen to their reasoning for their actions - which, in hindsight were reasonable as they only acted out of panic and desperation of isolating Jake and ostracising him from the pack.
We had finally gotten past the awkward stage of the rekindling we were finally able to have fun again, laughing and joking as if the whole ‘separation’ had never even happened when the Cullens asked for our help - the Volturi believed their was an immortal child in our midst - a feat impressive by even the most careless of vampires - which once again ruptured the peace we had carefully curated…
The moment we stepped foot into the cold ones’ home I was on edge - every single vampire in that houses could kill me at this very second and there was very little I could do to protect myself, even transforming into a wolf may have done very little in my defence as I could be easily overpowered.
In short - I was afraid and I was extremely aware that every single vampire in this house knew it too as my heartbeat sped up with nervous jumps each step closer to the threshold of the entrance, even Esme’s warm smile, which I had become familiar with in recent events as she attempted to forge a friendship with the pack, did little to soothe my nerves as I neared the home.
I knew as soon as I reached the door there was no going back - I would be defenceless and- “Y/N! You made it” Esme interrupted my spiralling trail of thought as I reached her “Jacob, Seth and Leah are in the kitchen, they’ve met a few of our guests and were hoping you’re feeling ready to join them?”
“Hey Esme” I greeted, nearing her with a small grin, she always was so happy and positive, it was hard not to like her makings instantly. She was so alike my own mother, Sue, as she was always pottering around the home, making sure her family were cared for and crafting a loving environment for them to simply exist in - that was the thing I really liked about her: she never expected you to do any more than you were comfortable doing. “ Sorry I’m late, Emily needed help with lunch so I-“
“No need to explain yourself to me dear, I’m just happy you’re here” she grabbed my shoulder and gently guided me through the threshold of the door and led me to the kitchen making soft conversation about my morning and soothing any worries I still held tight in my chest. “Seth? Leah? Y/N is here” Esme exclaimed as we neared the spacious room.
“Y/N!” Seth exclaimed as he bounded over to me, bundling me up into a bone crushing hug as soon as I emerged from the long corridor “I’ve been waiting for you” he sang as he led me over to a curly, blonde haired vampire.
She was sporting warm winter attire, dressed in fur and suede while her eyes were a sharp golden - an indication she preferred Bambi over baby, which made me relax into Seth’s arm which was now placed over my shoulder, “This is Tanya, she’s a part of the Denali Coven” right, the gorgeous blondes from Edward and Bella’s wedding.
“I’m Y/N, it’s nice to see you again” I greeted as we stepped in don’t of her near the kitchen island in the center of the room.
“It’s very nice to see you again Y/N, Seth was just telling me you’re still a part of Sam’s pack?” Tanya made small, polite conversation as she smiled brightly at me.
Taken aback by her beauty I mustered out a small “Yeah, I’m one of the most recent transformations so I thought it’d be better for me to stay with Sam as he’s been an alpha for so long, I though he’d lead me down the right path - no shade to Jacob though, he’s great” I laughed quietly as Seth nodded and Tanya smiled between the two of us.
Eventually I took a seat at the island, content to watch my brother and the beautiful vampire interact when a voice shocked me out of my concentrated stare - “What are we looking at?” the unexpected visitor asked as he leaned over my shoulder to find the source of my interest.
“Wha- you scared me! You shouldn’t sneak up on an unsuspecting person in a house full of vampires!” I exclaimed as I shook the fear and surprise out my shoulders.
An easy laugh eased me out of the tense curl of my shoulders “Sorry, I always forget how easy yous startle, so unaware of our presence - I’m Benjamin, you?” the man, Benjamin, introduced himself as if he hadn’t just scared the shit out of me, reaching forward to shake my hand.
“Y/N” I answered, placing my warm hand into his cold one and quickly letting go, once again startled by the spark that spread through where our hands met, excusing my reaction as a startle to his freezing temperature.
We continued making quiet small talk until Edward called for a meeting in the living room, an area that quickly became crowded as vampire after vampire filed in as we went our separate ways to meet our respective groups.
“The Volturi believe we have created an immortal child - a lie you now know is untrue as you have all met Renesme, seeing her as both human and vampire at once. I know this may be frightening to some and threatening to others but yous must believe us when we tell yous we only ask for your trust and belief - it will help us in our quest to make the Volturi see the truth…”
As Edward rambled I cast my eyes around the room, the nomads and the different covens were easy to decipher, the Denalis, the Africans, the Irish, the Romanians and eventually - the Egyptians.
They caught my attention as I studied them - there were four of them, two men, Benjamin and the other I did not know the name of and two women, who I once again did not know the names of. Yet as I stared the older if the two women turned and looking straight back at me, as if she had sensed my attention stuck in them.
I tensed as she stared back at me, before slowly smiling and nodding at me, I stared back frozen and bewildered as the beautiful vampire turned once more to face Edward, suddenly forgetting how to breath or blink.
Those bright, blood red eyes scorching themselves into my mind as I continued staring at her in my trance like state.
The following moments were a blur - all I know is it ended in me coughing and gasping for breath as every single vampire in attendance turned to look at my dishevelled figure, my face turning red from embarrassment as Leah tried to soothe my panic stricken outburst.
