“Um…On the fourth floor? I.. yeah. It’s this way.. I think.”

“Oh God. Thank you”, Grace sighs, and grabs the handle of her suitcase.

“Uh… forth floor, I believe. It generally goes anything in the 100s is first floor, 200s is second, 300s is third, so on.”

“That...makes an awful lot of sense, thank you.”

“You’re not interupting, that’s the forth floor - right down the hall from me! If you’d like, I could take you there? God knows how easy it is to get lost ‘round here.”

“If it isn't a bother to you, gladly. Please, do tell me there is a lift going up to the fourth floor.”

“Umm, hey. Sorry to...interrupt, but could you...– Which floor is...room 421?”

I'm glad it happened this way around. I shouldn't...say this out loud. I shouldn't feel this way to begin with. Someone died. But I am glad it happened this way around. I-I can't imagine-- I don't want to try to imagine his lifeless body on the floor. I saw her. After it'd happened. I'd heard the gunshot, and I saw her on the floor. I didn't know it'd been him by that time, but I'm glad I found her body, rather than his. I'm-- In some way, I'm glad he left, too. I just wish he'd told me. Or Allison. Anyone.
