And here I thought it would have made sense to ditch camp for a day and go on a little excursion.
And where did you lot end up getting to?

And here I thought it would have made sense to ditch camp for a day and go on a little excursion.
And where did you lot end up getting to?
      You’re damn right I did.
[ Her shock and anger at the boy gave way to exhilaration, and a big grin broke through her face. ]
Gods, I can’t believe I just did that. I climbed the wall.
[With a laugh he began applauding the girl who didn't seem so angry rather than excited, he wondered if she had ever actually climbed the wall before just then.]
Would you climb it again?
[ For the first time in her life, Esther had the urge to flip the boy the finger, before she remembered herself. ]
She looked over the edge of the wall she just climbed, then around the entire area, trying to look for a secret ladder or stairs. No such luck. ]
Okay, okay, just go down, but don’t look down.
[ She took a deep breath and with her knuckles turning white from her grip on the wall, she eventually made it down. And walked towards the boy, in a bit of a daze from what she’d just done. ]
Romans are brave. Okay?
[The amazement was rather clear on the boy's face as he watched the brunette climb down the wall, but it soon became apparent to him that the applause he was about to reward her with was going to be anything but appreciated as she started storming towards him.]
And I never doubted you for a second,Â
[As always Gabe held a goofy smile across his face showing all of his perfectly white teeth as he spoke again, silently hoping he wasn't about to get slapped.]
You did well Roman.
[Josie’s walking back from the morning activities with her siblings when she notices Gabrielle sitting on their cabin steps, alone.] Hey, what are you doing sitting here? Why weren’t you with us earlier?
[Looking up with a slight grin on his face, Gabrielle wasn't all that surprised to find Josie walking up along with the rest of his siblings.] Admittedly, I thought I could find something more interesting, but alas I ran out of ideas and well.. Here I am..
The same way you got up.
[ She screeched down at him. ]
     SHUT UP.
[ She counted to three in her head, took a deep breath and climbed faster, gasping for breath as the walls began to close in around her. Just as she was about to squished, she reached the top.
Instead of a victory dance, she screeched at him again. ]
     HOW DO I GET DOWN?Â
[Gabrielle was actually rather impressed that the girl has listened to him, climbing to the top was rather an idiotic thing.. Especially without Chifron as she had earlier pointed out. And still there she was screeching down from the top as the boy stood there in an attempt to hold back his laughter.]
The same way you got up, and quickly aswell, you wouldn't want to fall.
[ Ignoring his comment, Esther climbed higher.
She was already halfway up, thanks to her panic and the fear that the boy might bring his wrath upon her. The walls were closing in, but not too much and Esther breathed a sigh of relief for all she had accomplished…and that was when she looked down. ]
     No! No, no, no—oh shit,shit—
[ She pressed her forehead against the rock and her legs began to shake, threatening to let her plummet to the ground.]
[Gabrielle simply stood there watching the girl climb higher and higher as the walls slowly closed in around her, for him that was his favorite part, racing the challenge. And by the look on Esther's face when she had reached the top he was sure that the walls weren't much of a problem for her as she looked down.
Trying to contain the amusement in his voice, the dark haired boy looked up hoping he didn't have to deal with some broken bones mainly because some idiot had decided to listen to him.]Â Â
You alright up there?
[ With a frown, she snapped her fingers and willed the annoying boy to sleep. She couldn’t focus properly with his mocking.
All this time, the Climbing Wall had been dormant, waiting for its next victim. Esther knew that she had to climb it quickly before the two walls crushed her and the lava gushed out and the boulders came down. ]
Gods. I’m going to die.
When she was directly at the bottom of the Climbing Wall and more-or-less ready, she snapped her fingers again and woke the boy up. Then she began to climb. ]
[Snapping his eyes open with rather a confused expression on his face, Gabrielle stood there for a moment simply thinking of what he had just missed. One moment he was mocking the baby faced girl whom was just a couple of steps away, and next he was looking to her standing at the base of the Climbing Wall.
He didn't exactly know what to say, but curse himself for not recognising her as the daughter of Hypnos earlier.]
I'd be cheering you on if you hadn't just done that little trick.
[ Esther didn’t know if the guy was joking or not. She wasn’t about to explain herself to him, but she also really didn’t want to climb the wall.Â
There was nobody around…all the other climbers had left. She contemplated making him sleep on the spot. ]
        Fine. Fine. Fine, fine, fine.Â
[ She stomped towards the wall, before turning around. ]
Chiron’s not here. It’s not safe.
[With a smirk spreading across the boy’s face, he carefully watched Esther approach the wall before turning around to face him with a look of pure worry plastered on her face.]
Chiron’s not here. It’s not safe.
Yes, Romans are. No doubt about it.
[Moving his hand to gesture to the climbing wall, he raised an eyebrow ever so slightly.] Than why don't you climb that 'insanely tall wall'?
[ Esther shot him a look, before glancing up at the wall again and looking away quickly. ]
You’re telling me you see nothing terrifying about this insanely tall wall that you have to climb?Â
The slightest bit, but I'm just a chicken. But you Romans, aren't you supposed to be brave?
[ She felt her face grow red at the accusation. ]
No. No. I’m just standing here.Â
[Gabrielle walked until he was standing directly beside the girl as he held a grin across his lips,] That's exactly what I thought you were doing.
But could you maybe tell me why?
[It wasn't just any other day for Gabrielle as the sun shone high in the sky, no, today the dark haired boy was exceptionally bored as he sat back on the stairs of cabin 12 trying to think of the next best thing to do today.]
[ There it was. The climbing wall. Of all the activities she’d avoided, it was the bloody climbing wall. Time-constraints; lava bursting from the top; boulders coming down on you.
Esther mumbled to herself as she finished her packet of nuts. ]
         …maybe next time.Â
[Gabe, just as every other day, was bored as a button as he roamed the camp grounds before finding his way to the climbing wall. It was soon apparent to him the brunette standing at the bottom, hesitating the climb.] Don't tell me that old thing has you terrified?
Growing up as the oldest in a family with two younger brothers and a mother who worked two jobs just to pay the rent, Gabrielle Casella quickly became the man of the house. Taking up every job he could to make his mother’s life easier, ensuring he was home in time every night to cook the house dinner, and making sure he was the first one awake in the morning to prepare breakfast and lunches for the lot of them before seeing his brothers off to school.
He was always nice and caring at home, playing the perfect role of both a husband and an older brother because of course their house hold never knew what it was like to have a father. The three boys each had a different father, Ace whom was the youngest, would see his once a year if he was lucky, Conner the middle child, his father was overseas somewhere and then there was Gabrielle, he was told his had ran off at birth. But the family had managed to get on perfectly fine.
As years went by, Gabrielle had picked up a couple of addictions along the way, finding a cigarette in his hand more often, a bottle of alcohol never far away and a new girl on his arm just about every night. At school he became notorious for such things, acting more and more like his father every day only usually with a bigger smile on his face. And still he started to find himself more popular than ever as the rumor mill began to churn its many secrets about the boy. Apparently there was this one party trick he could perform and turn water into wine just like the gods, but that was just a party trick turned extreme with a bit of teen gossip. Wasn’t it? And still with all of this going on, the cheerful boy never happened to take any of this home and never managed to forget his family. Every night before he went out he made sure there was dinner in the oven for his mother, made sure his brothers were tucked quietly in bed and that they had everything they needed.
But one day Gabrielle never made it back home from a party, he was just performing his usual ‘magic trick’ when one of the girls whispered something more than intriguing in his ear. He placed the glass of wine back onto the bench and with a smirk across his face followed the girl into the room she wanted to show him so badly, the moment they reached the room she pushed him to the bed, something he expected much different from. Instead of treating him the way the rest did she just stood back against the door and began to change into something hideous, she was no longer the beautiful blonde that had showed him upstairs. Standing before him was a hideous monster that began to screech and wail in his direction, and he was sure he hadn’t drunken that much. Before any more than a scratch and a confused Gabrielle could come from the room, one of the teachers had burst into the room, killing the creature and sending the boy to Camp Half Blood, refusing to answer any questions he had.
