DELFIKRU    ,      (n.) from philidelphia

delfikru is one of the earliest-formed clans behind trikru and azgeda. it originated in what was once philidelphia, and expanded outwards as the other clans settled in the area. the majority of delfikru now reside on the west coast (x), below trishanakru lands, with smaller territories scattered across the continent: one in trikru, one in podakru, and one in ingranronakru. they are a relatively neutral clan and prefer to avoid violence where possible; following a major territory disagreement some years ago, they do send regular patrols along the southern border of their lands to keep sangedakru from raiding their villages.

the people of delfikru reside primarily in the underground metropolitan areas of the old world; the locations of every station, tunnel, and surface outpost can be found on maps around the capitol city, frisco. while the stations themselves are relatively safe, the tunnels are a source of constant danger: radiation, mental threats, bandits, and mutant predators take the lives of the many who travel between stations for trade or travel. these threats mean that, in major cities, many of the warriors are trained to use guns and other old-world weaponry, thanks to the abundance of resources found by early survivors of the nuclear exchange. where ammunition can not be found, it is often crafted.

due to the individual dangers of each territory, delfikru has evolved to have no set leader - rather, they operate in neighborhood-like systems with each station acting as a different ‘house’; in times of crisis, one head member from each ‘household’ will come together to form a council capable of making decisions based on the needs and wants of their ‘family’. as a whole, the clan has an ‘of the people, for the people’ mindset, and one station will rarely make a decision without considering the opinions of the rest.

delfikru heavily relies on trade for food, as few things will grow so well underground. in exchange, they craft and export weaponry and armor made out of sign posts, license plates, and other debris, as well as building materials that are not otherwise common, such as steel and cement. 

standing out from most clansmen, delfikru clothing most resembles the old world  ( and later, skaikru )  styles. they prefer things to be tighter fitting for sake of ease, as flowing or accessorised garments tend to snag and catch on the rubble of the city as they travel. they prefer lighter fabrics due to the year-round heat.

i’ve got a lot of lexa’s following me now so some things to note on the relationship w/ kostia:

first and perhaps most importantly, their relationship begins when they are children. kostia is thirteen when her crush develops and fifteen when she enters a relationship with lexa. i rp kostia as being between 16-20, so only age-appropriate shipping will be done, nothing mature / nsfw.

they were childhood best friends, they grew up in the same village (my main verse is tondc but idm altering for you!). kostia kept contact with lexa when she went to polis for her nightblood training, and visits often after the ascension. their relationship isn’t a secret but they’re mindful to keep their personal lives private.

kostia is kidnapped before the events of season one. she is held captive by azgeda for 2 years and escapes sometime after the missile attack on tondc. in verses where lexa is alive, she is taken in and protected in polis; in verses where lexa has passed, kostia seeks refuge in floukru.

DIVINATION  ,   the art of looking into and interpreting the future and gaining knowledge through intuition. by gaining an understanding of one's situation and possible outcomes, eyva helps people to be better prepared to make a decision, so long as they understand that things may change, as nothing is set in stone. the methods she uses include necromancy, tassology, palmistry, and scrying, in that order.

NECROMANCY  ,   the art of communication with the dead. eyva does this by throwing the bones of a deceased animal (or person, if given permission by their kin) into a fire. the heat causes the bone to crack and by reading these cracks and the flame's response to the bone, she gains insight. 

TASSOLOGY  ,   the art of looking at the placement and formations of loose tea leaves to get information about the past, present, and future of one’s life. it is intuition based and thus, there are few rules, making it one of eyva’s simplest practices.

PALMISTRY  ,   the art of studying the creases, bumps, shape, and colouring of a person’s hands to gain insight into a person’s behaviour, personality, and general life path. eyva practices this to identify a person's strengths and weaknesses, personality traits, and general guidance on love, their life path, and their health.

SCRYING  ,   the art of clairvoyance achieved by concentrating on an object until visions appear. eyva's services as a scryer typically include predictions of the future, to answer questions, and help in finding lost objects or things. she uses a large bowl of water, in which she drops a silver coin, representing the moon. these visions must often be interpreted, as they are not always so literal.
