The Whitest Kid You Know.
A sneak peek at Those Who Can’t, an Amazon Studios pilot in production for Prime Instant Video. The show was created by Andrew Orvedahl, Adam Cayton-Holland, and Benjamin Roy, and inspired by their web series, The Grawlix. Orvedahl says the process has been “an amazing experience” so far:
“Coming from the world of self-produced web shorts, leaping into a full-length sitcom pilot was new to all of us, including the Nix brothers, who were directing and shooting. It was basically an immersive crash course in how to make a pilot. Spending the previous year making those web shorts paid off quite a bit because we already had the working chemistry both behind and in front of the camera. We’d been doing this in a way just for fun, weekend after weekend, for free. So I’m really glad we had been working on The Grawlix web series all this time.”

The Grawlix Live December 28 in Denver
It's the high holiday season here in Grawlix Town, one of our favorite times of year for so, so many reasons! Whether it's Andrew covering himself head to toe in tinsel and strolling gayly through the streets, signing carols for anyone not repulsed by his mustache, or Ben recapping the year in his delightful annual holiday letter, letting friends and family know exactly what they did wrong this year, and how, or whether it's me, Adam, trolling holiday parties for cheap drinks and even cheaper pills, the sea
son fills us to the gills with cheer. But perhaps our most favorite thing about this time of year, is how the holidays bring home many of our favorite Denver-bred comedians who have moved to other parts of the country in bold, dick-joke diasporas. And so we shall parade them before you, our loyal Grawlix audience, on December the 28th and we will say goodbye to this fucked up year the only way we know how: Spanish. Please come out and join us as we welcome home Rob Gleeson, pencil-necked comedy juggernaut/Will Arnett version 2.0 (we've all seen the commercial). Rob rules and we're glad to have him back. Then sup from the cup of Andy Sell, lovely friend of the show/hilarious half-walrus man with a mustache to rival Baron Von Orvedahl). What else? How about Dave Ross, the man behind one of LA's absolute best comedy shows Holy Fuck and just a swell-smelling individual in general. Not enough? Okay fine. How about Aurora-born, NYC comedy badass Dan Soder? Don't know who Dan is? For. Fucking. Shame. He's got innumerable credits (Just for Laughs, SXSW, some podcasts, one time bought Adam a beer) and he rules. And then to top it all off oh yeah we've got Josh Blue. Yes. That Josh Blue. Couple that with the Grawlix boys and oh, I don't know, a new episode of the Grawlix web series and you've got yourself one hell of a show. See ya there, urrybody. Tis the season!

The Grawlix Live November 30th
It already seems like it has been forever since we all got to sit down together and sup at the proverbial Grawlix cup and it pains us deep in our Grawlix souls that we still have to wait two more weeks to sup with y'all (sup y'all), but on Friday, November 30th we shall get together and we shall sup! Sup we shall! But what to sup upon? Well. For starters we're welcoming not one, but two members of Omaha Socialist co-op OK Party Comedy, Ian Douglas Terry and Zack Peterson! This dynamic duo has been puttin
g Nebraska on the map as touching Colorado and we're excited for them both to take the Grawlix stage so we can engage in obligatory Grawlix initiation swirlies and gang-style beat-ins. But what else? How about Ryan Singer? If you don't know Ryan Singer you're a fucking idiot and we're so glad to be able to get to introduce you to him so you're not an idiot anymore. His latest album "Comedy Wonder Town" is garnering rave reviews all over the place and he was recently named by Marc Maron in a Rolling Stone article as a "Comedian Who Should Be Big," which, in all fairness, was an article about eating disorders. But still. We're excited to have him while he still fits into our normal sized Grawlix T-shirts which ARE STILL FOR SALE! BUY ONE AT THE SHOW! OMG! ROFL! LOLOLOLOLZZZ!!! And last, but certainly not least, all three Grawlix boys will be in the house to tell you some new jokes and guide you on another monthly comedic journey. We've been up to all sorts of fun stuff and we're eager to tell you all about it. Together. See ya's there. Doors at 10 p.m., show at 10:30 p.m., $10. Be sure to add it too your Facebook calendar.
Rory Scovel - Seven Grandmothers (Comedy Central Stand-Up) (by comedycentral)
Pretty excited for this FREE show this coming Monday. Rory makes good with the funnies.
This world has seen some amazing educators, people who inspire their students and have it all together. But those people need to get their own show. The latest comedy added to Amazon Studios’ Series Development Slate is Those Who Can’t, the story of some teachers with a lot to learn.
The show...
Check it out, you can read the pilot script.
We are excited to have Andy Haynes at The Grawlix this Friday.
Episode 6 - Modern Comedian - Andy Haynes - Prepping For Conan (by ModernComedian)
Grawlix October 26 episode 21
Oh gurl it's almost that time again! As the leaves undergo their chromatic transformation into autumnal bliss, so do the members of The Grawlix, as they prepare for winter. Adam has taken to stockpiling nuts (and hard candies he has mistaken for nuts) inside his walk-in closet. Ben has stopped his fitness regimen, and is now on a strict diet of Kraft brand foods and TLC programming to build up a layer of subcutaneous fat for warmth. And Andy? Andy's just using his credit card to buy Halloween costumes
he can't afford and is too old for. He can't even fathom November. We know we brought you a great Andy in the form of Andy Peters last month, but we're giving you another fantastic Andy in October with Andy Haynes! Andy has been a favorite of ours for a long time, and now his career has quickly eclipsed ours with his recent Conan appearance. Godspeed, Andy, and if you wouldn't mind dangling those tuxedo tails a tad lower... In addition to Mr. Haynes, we also have Eli Braden coming in! If Rob Delaney is the king of Twitter, then Eli is the prince. Eli has performed on the Howard Stern show, if any of you are into 'that sort' of 'thing'. And as always we bring you the local comics we love, this month it's Jordan Doll and Abbey Jordan, two of the most creative comics in the scene. So get dressed up and preview your Halloween costume (it's the only way you're getting any free Illegal Pete's tickets) and come have some fucking fun for once. Sorry I kind of lost it at the end there.
Tickets are 10 bucks. Show is Friday, October 26, 2012 starts at 10:30 but get there by at least 10pm. The Bug Theater is located at 3654 Navajo St. Denver, Colorado
Is there any species more alternately inspiring and frustrating than the Rare North American Adam Cayton-Holland Bird? Undoubtedly, there is not.

Grawlix Live September 28
Terminator 1 and 2. IPhone 4 and 4S. Boom and Bam. The Second and Third Reich. The Grawlix Episode 19 and 20. What do all these things have in common? Um, they were all pretty successful back-to-back undertakings. That's right, folks! Last month's show was a boat load of fun and this month is sizing up to be not-a-damn-bit different. We've got bearded people being pulled from the crowd. We have cosmetic products and skin conditions being confused again.
We've got the full Grawlix gang in effect - fresh off a live show at the LA Riot comedy festival, I might add - spitting out all new material. We've got a fresh fancy video starring a plethora of your favorite Denver funny flingers. And joining us to giggle grunt all over your hahahaha sacks is Rick Desimone. If you don't know Rick, you don't know Denver comedy. Aside from running great comedy rooms, being one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) 5280 comedy boosters, and one hell of a football player, Rick is super aces funny. It's his first time riding on the mothership. Come on out and hit him with your bop-guns. And closing the show, coming in from LA, is the ridiculously hilarious Andy Peters. If you don't know Andy yet, trust us, you will remember him by the end. Energetic, loud, and painfully funny, Andy won the Rocky Mountain Laugh-Off and was a finalist in the Seattle Comedy Competition. Trust us, this will be a blast. Plus, as always, we have a special guest or two dropping in. Don't forget to sign up for Illegal Pete's weekly newsletter for chances to win free tickets. $10 cash at the door. So fucking be there, jocks. Bro. BRO! BRO! SERIOUSLY, BRO!
