Marcus never stood out, he always went unnoticed and he preferred it that way. Growing up in London the boy never cared for the rush and buzz of the city life style. Finding it too over crowded, unwelcoming and something he dreamed of escaping from. But being stuck in the lively English city he made the most of it. Though what it lacked in solitary areas, it made up for in history and culture. The teen dedicated his time to studying, always either being in the library or in a museum he became fascinated with the past and architecture. With his growing passion for knowledge, if his head wasn’t down sketching elements of the landscape, it was in a book trying to gain as much information as he possibly good. Fact, fiction, he loved to read them both. Stories of adventure, fantasy and romance, his mind twirling with the words that practically flew off the page. Since he was a young boy, he couldn’t help but wish for his live to be like some of the stories that captivate his imagination; but his was much more comfortable staying in the confinement of his room.
Being the only child of his family, his parents were always very protective of him - especially his mother -. He always had what he wanted which evidently wasn’t much as was always thankful for everything he was given. Marcus likes to consider himself to be a low maintenance and simple soul. Fairly uninterested in social interaction, Marc doesn’t have many friends; he was always the nerdy guy who knew the answers in class no matter what the topic.
But when the scholarship to join the Creek came through, Marc couldn’t wait to get out of London’s crasps and breath a different kind of air. Though his parents were reluctantly to let him go, they eventually agreed to let him fly to america to take advantage of Culver University’s facilities and lectures.
With the new air in his lungs, will he finally be able to turn his dreams from page to real life and live out experiences he has only read about; or will Marcus be confined to live a solitary life.
The young male is shy and hesitant, preferring the less dramatic life of reading, sketching and being consumed by his studies in the solitary confinements of his room. But admittedly with his repetitive nature Marc is quite lonely. A hopeless romantic, the girl he dreams of good be around him and he wouldn’t even know it from his lack of confidence to experience the world in real life rather than paper.
✔ Intelligent, Kind, Emphatic, Loyal
- Christopher Braxton: The pair are quite similar preferring their own company and lack of social integration. Because of this, they both seem to get along quite well even if Christopher is more cynical, Marc would consider his roommate to be a close friend.
- Sophia Abthy: Running (literally) into each other down the hallway, Marc had always admired the charismatic girl; finding her character truly intriguing Marc has observed her from afair. Only having spoken a few times, the boy is nervous about approaching her one in fear of making a fool of himself.
