I would say the food here is closest to sg food. It's sweeter and less spicy. My favourite dish was probably the pork belly. The rest were kinda meh for me.

Palmiers (32 yuan) - super crispy and flaky. Best eaten there, darn hard to keep. Is it worth the queue? Maybe not. But it's still pretty good and i'm glad i bought it :D

🦀 Crab Xiao Long Bao (46 yuan/8 pcs)

THIS! This is so yummy. It's freaking rich with an intense burst of crabby goodness in your mouth. It just works so well with the pork. Wished that we ordered another one. That being said, i haven't tried this dish in other restaurants, so there's no baseline here.

🐷 Pure Pork Xiao Long Bao (28 yuan/8 pcs)

It's not bad! After trying the crab version, this fades in the background. We are already biased even before this begun. Should've had this first.

🧋 Oolong milk tea with yam (31.5 yuan)

Yums this was good! Lots of taro with mochi. The mochi has a strong rice taste and has a softer smooth texture.

450 yuan for 1 crab roe noodle + shared xiao long xia

Very rich and roe-y. It's my first time trying this dish and it's IMPRESSIVE. The noodles might be a little too soft for some but I still really like it. We did mix some of the wine from the xiao long xia into some of our bites. It makes it a little more exciting.

🦞 Xiao Long Xia

It's super sweet from the alcohol. So freaking ADDICTIVE. Could not stop taking sips of the wine. They provide gloves but if your hands still get dirty, you can pop over to their interesting throne toilet.

Finally managed to try guilin youcha (油茶). The soup itself is quite bitter, but adding the rice crispies makes it better. Just be sure to add more. It turns sweet after a few sips. It's not for everyone, but I'll definitely try it again!

This was pretty good! Bought it cause it just came out of the oven. Made the right choice :D Pastry was flaky with a nice creamy centre.

🧋 Mo Shang Qing Ti 陌上青提 (18 yuan)

Green grape oolong milk tea with cream on top and crushed figs. It's a soothing milk tea. I like it! Would like to try other flavours here.

🍜 Cow Pea Noodles - 豇豆肉绍面 (10 yuan)

Not really a fan of tihs cow pea. I'm also generally not a fan of the yellow peas cause it's kinda mushy?

⭐️ Dan Dan Mian - 担担面 (10 yuan)

This is my fav out of the noodles. It's just so comforting. We ordered another bowl to share!

🥣 Yellow Jelly Noodles - 煮凉粉 (8 yuan)

Very interesting! It's like eating carrot cake but with a salty meat sauce. Would recommend trying this at least once.

🥣 White Jelly Noodles - 旋子凉粉 (8 yuan)

Has an interesting texture. It kinda breaks in your mouth like agar agar. Served with a spicy sauce.

🍜 Spicy and Sweet Noodles - 甜水面 (10 yuan)

Also LOVED THIS. It's not for everyone though. The noodles were thick and chewy - I guess it resembles Udon but it's wayy chewier and doughier. I LOVE LOVE the sauce for this cause it's sweet AND spicy. Ended up dipping the yelow jelly noodles in this.

🥚🥣 Steamed Egg with Ground Pork - 肉绍蒸蛋 (7 yuan)

Another comforting dish tha'ts so freaking cheap!
