“Were you hoping they choked?”
“As a nurse, no. I’m thankful they didn’t choke. But it was definitely a sight for sore eyes...”
“I just watched a patient attempt to shove an entire cookie in his mouth...”
Sasha smoothed the material on her outfit before going to pay with the buttons on her shirt. The gaudy, dull colors made her desperate for change. It made her think of bad things from bad times when she didn’t have a choice of what she wore. She sat on the comfortable couch, waiting for her doctor to come in and prod into her brain. She didn’t belong here but she knew there was no point in relaying that information. Instead, she had her plan to answer all questions. She had no idea how long she would be here. But maybe, just maybe, she could find another way out of there.
When the door to the office finally opened, Sasha did not turn her head. Instead, she began to speak, “It is a good morning and I’m doing fine. How about we skip this small talk and get into what you need me to say so I can get out of here and go home?”
Gregory had finally managed to find and set up his office, even though he was a nurse, he didn’t see the need for one other than a place to hide out and take a nap here and there when things got too hectic for the awkward staff. After leaving for a few hours, he entered his office and nearly jumped out of his skin when he noticed a small blonde sitting there already.
“I, um, well, in order for you to be let out, you’d need to talk to a psychiatrist. I’m just a nurse. Sorry to burst your bubble, ma’am.”
“I know what you’re thinking; where the hell have you been Greg, but I can honestly say that this place is the frickin’ labyrinth. On the bright side, I found the staff room and was able to eat.”
