Grell had wondered passively how long it would be before his favorite demon arrived, awaiting him impatiently only because it was the redheadās nature to be restless. It certainly wouldnāt be long, Sebastian was more than capable of locating the reaper and Grell wasnāt exactly hiding. There was little need to hide seeing as the only person that would spot him up here would be the one he intended to be seen by. Ā
He rolled his head in a little stretch, adjusting the sheer sleeves of his dress that wrapped around the edge of his shoulders and left the top of them bare. His eyes traced the quiet streets down below with little interest as he stood letting the passing wind whip strands of his hair about. Every time he thought of Sebastian finding his letter his heart seemed to ache in the most pleasant of ways and his lips parted into a little smile. He could hear church bells in the distance, and it sent him into an unreasonably happy little hum.Ā
Sebastian was just the perfect man, as far as the reaper was concerned. He could play rough without being a bully- the way one ought to treat a lady like Grell. Not to mention there was his enjoyment of the redheadās flamboyance and the demonās own theatrical ways. Certainly there was no one who would appreciate the rather original dress Grell had fashioned like dear Bassy would!
Just as the heavy weapon started to slide from Grellās relaxed shoulder, a voice echoed behind him that seemed to cause every inch of him to tense. A small sound of excitement escaped him as his whole appearance sprang to life. Tuning in a swish of fluttering fabric and red drama, the redhead inhaled sharply as if in joyful surprise. āOh Bassy! Youāer a poet, an ab-so-lute poet~ā he cried, swaying his hip to one side and letting the scytheās sharp teeth dig into the ground with a dangerous crunch as the other hand pressed itās silk glove to just above the neckline of his dress. āSo you like the dress? It was made just for youu~ Iāve taken quite seriously to this new part- playing a Cardinal~ā
He bared his teeth in a smile, looking like a green-eyed wildcat, āAnd ooh look at you, dashing as ever! You never disappoint, you handsome creature! I am terribly glad you got my love note~ā he winked, āI kissed the envelope and everything~ā Ā
āWith your new found boldness, how could I resist?Ā But it should be I giving out the complements.ā Sebastian said from his place across the roof.
The Demon folded his hands behind his back and took in the garment that completely.Ā It was more than just a dress, it was a statement.Ā The form embracing bodice complemented the varying lengths of the hemline while silver skulls give it that flair that if Grell didnāt claim would cause the world to fall off of its axis.Ā Not to be ignored were the attachments that grasped the stockings.
āLet us be glad that the Viscount did not see such a scandalously attractive hemline,ā Sebastian paused with a grin that mirrored Grellās, āwe would probably never see nor hear from him again.ā
If anyone could pull that dress off it was Grell and it seemed that the more the Reaper dabbled in his fascination in garment making the more Sebastian was able to see his dance partnerās true nature. Ā The sound that the scythe made as it came in contact with the ground was a splendid sound indeed.Ā And in all honestly Sebastian was interested in seeing what moves the red head could pull off in the garment that seemed to be more suited for the streets of Paris and not the rooftops of London preparing for āfriendlyā combat.
The flash of the green eyes at Sebastian brought a smirk to the Demonās face.Ā When he heard about how the envelope was ādressedā before posting.Ā
āBeing able sense you even though you are a, divine beingā¦ā Sebastian paused as he turned his back to Grell.Ā Then he began to speak again, āthe kiss made it more personal, more intimate.Ā So it allowed me to hunt my,ā
The Demon paused again looking over his shoulder at the Reaper, āā¦prey by dropping the veil of neutrality a bit.
Stepping up onto the ornate ledge that encircled the roof he finished with, āBut I am a hunter by nature.ā
But for the two of them this was just like any other time they met the only difference was the dress code.
āI take it I will have to earn a dance this time?ā Sebastian said as turned around quickly producing eight shiny projectiles nestled snugly between his fingers.Ā Given the fact he was wearing black gloves instead of his traditional white ones the weapons seemed to float in midair.
āAnd not to worry Grell I shall give a dip tonight you will not soon forget.ā He taunted playfully.
Grell swayed himself girlishly, readjusting his hold on the handle of his scythe with threatening ease. He giggled as Sebastian seemed to give the redhead's dress good look and shook himself playfully. Oh yes, braving the cold London air had been much more than worth it!
Grell gave a very intentional batt of false eyelashes, obviously flattered, then lifted his weapon, posing with it cutely before hoisting it back over his shoulder. "Scandalous? Is it really~?" his voice filled with mock innocence as he pulled up on the edge of the skirt and dropped it again, flashing justĀ above the actual hemline. Then the reaper let out a bright laugh, adjusting his glasses with his free hand, "The pompous blond cream-puff from our night dancing? Oh Bassy you darling man~" the almost jealous way Sebastian had shooed the Viscount away that night had been like flowers and candy to Grell. "I can't say he would be very missed if he had, of coarse this sewing project was for your eyes only, anyway~"Ā
Then the reaper pursed his lips and rocked back on his heels a bit, "Speaking of dancing, I wore a pair of heels I'm much more familiar with- I wasn't about to do anything to make myself clumsy for you tonight- you did promise to teach me to Tango, didn't you?"
Grell's seemed to puff up a little at the way Sebastian said the word 'divine', grinning proudly. The word really seemed to have aĀ weight to it when it came off Sebastian's lips- then again, that was the case with most things the demon said.Ā Still swaying in a feline fashion, he watched the demon carefully as the other turned his back. When Sebastian spoke again, Grell found himself near an audible whine. He bit lightly at his lower lip, repressing the wish to list some other personal and intimate places he would be all too happy to kiss. "Why, I never guessed you would so appreciate my flirtatious little gesture~" he purred, tracing a silk fingertip across his lips.Ā
Grell quirked his eyebrow with an odd interest at the word 'prey'. The thought that he had been 'hunted' was not at all unappealing. He chuckled, "Neutrality has always been one of the rules of the reapers I disliked the most. I'm glad I was able to give you a head start on hunting me down, I do get so restless!" he waved his hand dramatically.
"I do hope the hunter in you is always an element of your nature you embrace, Bassy. I just love it~" The reaper readied his weapon with a flick of his head as he tossed loose strands of red away from his eyes.Ā Grell's lashes seemed to flutter as he considered the demon's question with a small smile, "I suppose it will be a little more work than the last time you took me out dancing~" he teased.
Then Grell bolted towards Sebastian, ruffles fluttering. He landed the weapon against Sebastian's chest like a forceful shove, throwing himself forward over the blades toward's the other and replied to the demon's last taunt with a coo, "Promise~?" Then with a giggle he reared back, the mechanical weapon roaring to life as he gave it a swing he knew very well would miss the clever demon completely.Ā
