Nurit Flynn

Nurit is Hebrew for Buttercup #F3AD16, but I searched it on google, and I got this really gorgeous blue #C5FAF5. So, now I'm debating whether or not Nurit's 'theme' colour should be the yellow or the blue. The blue would resemble his sister more, but the yellow would be more true to his name...

Also, Flynn means "red" in Irish Gaelic. The character will be loosely based off of Hansel from "Hansel and Gretel". 

Feel free to make suggestions, please!

Fei Alice

Fei, or fēi in simplified Chinese, means dark red (I've decided to go with like a #910005). Alice is a light shade of blue: #F0F8FF. She is based off of the little sister in the story "Little Brother Little Sister". 

In the story, the little sister could hear what the water was telling her, warning her brother not to drink the bewitched water. I'm not sure if I'll make that her semblance or not... but I think it's cool to note.

I thought of Fei first, so she was the first for me to draw. Here is a bust of what I hope she'll sort-of look like. (don't pay attention to her clothes yet... haven't gotten quite that far...)

Rory Kohle

Rory, meaning "Red King", or "rust-coloured" Irish Gaelic, and Kohle is German for charcoal, colour #222222.

He is loosely based on little brother in the fairy tale "Little Brother Little Sister". He is Roebuck fauna, and has bright red hair. He is roebuck fauna because he was bewitched in the story, and was a Roebuck for most of the time. His sister is Fei Alice.

I figured his 'theme' colour would be a bright red, like #EB1C22

Guinevere Aphra

Guinevere originates from the Welsh Gwenhwyfar, meaning fare, white and smooth.

Aphra means colour of the Earth, or whitish red, in Arabic.

If you search Guinevere on google images, this beautiful, dull purple comes up, #C0A4BA. 

Guinevere is loosely based off of the character Gretel from 'Hansel and Gretel'.

Okay, so this will be my first ever oc, and it'll be based on RWBY. I think I've settled on this palette, and I have some colour names in the process. 

The acronym, GRFN, is for griffin #6F6559 a soft grey. This team's theme is siblings, I guess. The fairytale characters I'm basing the team on are the two from 'Little Brother Little Sister', and 'Hanzel and Gretel'.
