"Truth in Tolerance, Knowledge through Diversity, Bonds of Unity, Strength in Trust." Gamma Rho Lambda at UCR is an all-inclusive sorority for anyone female-identified/assigned at birth. GRL recognizes the challenges that Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender and allied womyn face. We then build a family based off of who we are, identities aside, and strive for advocacy, visibility, awareness, and education. Last night our chapter had a Candyland Tournament rush event! We played candyland, spoons (which got quite intense!), and left-right-center! Our Fall 2014 Rush Week kicks off this week! Rush, or recruitment, events are non-committal so definitely drop in for one of them and get to know our sisters and siblings. This quarter’s theme is CANDY and all things sweet! Keep in mind that you do not have to attend every event to join Gamma Rho Lambda, however, you do have to attend at least one Info Session and the potluck dinner at the end of the week. WEEK ONE Vision Boards 10/10 | FRIDAY | 2:00pm - 3:00pm | LGBT Resource Center Join us on campus as we share some of our goals with one another! These can be for future aspirations, or for this academic year, or even silly stuff. Either way, we will be relaxing and bonding with one another while crafting poster boards that you can keep forever! If you have any magazines or other crafting supplies, feel free to bring them over! The LGBT Resource Center is inside Costo Hall, the building behind the HUB. WEEK TWO Sugar Rush Social 10/13 | MONDAY | 3:00pm | HUB 265 Come join us for come socializing and tasty treats for our Social Sugar Rush! Well I mean… it’s already a bit competitive, but it’s more intense now that we are college students! Induction Weekend - INVITE ONLY 10/18 and 10/19 | SATURDAY and SUNDAY Those who receive a bid MUST attend Induction Weekend. More information will be available at our events.
