Hello and welcome to my mildly successful sideblog! This blog is getting big enough that I think it would be beneficial to have a lil get-to-know you post pinned here.
Grosslyoversimplifiedpolitics is a tumblr that is dedicated to the amazing tags that Ao3 writers post. I started this blog because I was taking so many screen shots of tags that made me laugh, and I thought I might as well share them. Below I'm going to answer some questions that I would imagine you might have (maybe you don't but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
How often do you post?
I've been kinda spotty about posting because of some ongoing mental health stuff I've been dealing with, so there may be long gaps between posts.
When I have things in my queue, it is set to post 2 times a day, every day.
So basically, it's post-roulette
Can I submit a tag?
Yes! Personally, I would love it if instead of putting a tag in my ask box that you use the submission link, but honestly whatever floats your boat.
I try to keep my blog as screen-reader accessible as possible, so when you submit a tag please include an ID.
Can I submit a quote?
Also yes, but please don't make them super long...like if it could feasibly be a tag then go for it. That's vague, but I trust you <3
I submitted a post, but it's been a week, and I haven't seen it yet!
See above regarding how frequently I post
If posts are happening regularly, my queue may be quite long. I promise I've seen your submission and it has made it into my queue.
I keep getting notifications that you've posted, but I don't see any new posts on your blog!
I use community labels when they're relevant. If the age registered to your blog is under 18, you will not be able to see these posts. If the age registered on your blog is 18+ and you still cannot see my new posts, go to Settings > Account > Content You See and change the setting to either "blur" or "show" posts with specific labels. Blurred posts will show on your dash with the option to view the post while Shown posts will be displayed normally.
How do you tag?
I tag each post with the ID as well as any content warnings that I can think of. For the most part, I tag content warnings as #[content] mention. I do this because it's usually just the word that is in the post, rather than anything graphic. Examples include #food mention, #alcohol mention, #sex mention, etc...
However, if I do not tag something that you would like me to tag, or you would like me to include other ways of tagging, please drop me an ask! I will be happy to work out a way for everyone to enjoy this blog.
