Jean Piaget (August 9, 1896 - September 16, 1980)

Jean Piaget was known for being an epistemologist and swiss biologist. He was considered the father of genetic epistemology  by all over the world. Also, Piaget was recognized by his constructivist theory of the development of intelligence. Appart of this, He was designated director by the international Bureau of Education. 

Cognitive development is considered by Piaget gradual. Reflections form the basis from which intelligence is constructed. These are innate and simple behaviors that allow you to approach, manipulate and know the environment. The stages of development elaborated by Piaget were: sensorimotor stage, preoperative stage, stage of the concrete operations and stage of the formal operations.

The teaching was given in a school for children on the street. The Binet-Simon scale and intelligence test was created together with Theodore Simon. Piaget was realizing that children were giving the wrong answers to certain questions But these consistent errors were fulfilling a certain regularity that was deserved of attention by Piaget who was the one who focused on this study.

Different works were written by him. Recherche, Lausanne: The Concorde was considered one of his first major works. In Paris 1990, Delachaux et Niestlé was published as his last work.

School description

Our school is a public rural school. Those who study their use nature as an aid to do the classes. For example, many classes are outdoor.The classes are made up of students of different ages, whose teachers are adapted to each child since they are small classes.There are also orchards, which are used to study plants. The garden is a compulsory subject, since it requires time, care and understanding.

 It's a school whose methodology works by projects. This methodology focuses on that student is able to develop his self-taught facet being able to do the projects by himself. On the other hand, it is important that students are able to work as a team. 

In this School we provide multiple extracurricular activities, like take care of the garden. Tanny is the teacher of this extracurricular activity, who has been teaching for 10 years. During activities, which will be Monday and Wednesday from 5.00 to 6.00 p.m., the students will be able to enjoy nature learning and having fun.

In our school there are various activities that different students whose ages are different are mixed in order to enrich each other and promote the values ​​we want to work on. These values, whose purpose is to prepare boys and girls for socialization are, for example, dialogue and diversity.
