Had a little BSD photoshoot at Tracon! And by “little” I mean “oops, I totally misjudged the amount of time we need”. But we had fun nevertheless! So here’s a group shot from the end of our shoot including our photographer Matias. As of July 4th 2018, the Internet as we know it might be dead for good. 

The European Parliament is passing a new Copyright Directive.  Article 13 #CensorshipMachine will impose widespread censorship of all the content we share online. Art, fanfiction, parodies, remixes, mashups, memes, etc.. Anything that you do not hold the rights over will be taken down. 

Article 13 would force all online platforms to police and prevent the uploading of copyrighted content, or make people seek the correct licenses to post that content. Internet platforms hosting large amounts of user-uploaded content must monitor user behaviour and filter their contributions to identify and prevent copyright infringement. 

Such filters will be mandatory for platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, Reddit and Instagram, but also much smaller websites.

This doesn’t just affect Europe. The content creators you love are going to be in hot water for sharing their art and writing with you online. Any and all content that doesn’t belong to us will be filtered. Even memes are at risk, as the person who took the original photo may want to file complaints against any platform that allows it to be used without permission. But it goes even further than that.

Last Tuesday (19th June 2018) a group of more than 70 people who have played important roles in building the internet and developing it (Tim Berners-Lee, Vincent Cerf, Jimmy Wales, Mitchell Baker…) into what it is today addressed an open letter to the members of the European Parliament:

“As creators ourselves, we share the concern that there should be a fair distribution of revenues from the online use of copyright works, that benefits creators, publishers, and platforms alike.

But Article 13 is not the right way to achieve this. By requiring Internet platforms to perform automatic filtering all of the content that their users upload, Article 13 takes an unprecedented step towards the transformation of the Internet from an open platform for sharing and innovation, into a tool for the automated surveillance and control of its users. […] The damage that this may do to the free and open Internet as we know it is hard to predict, but in our opinions could be substantial.”

Tracon is here~

I’m sick but luckily not too sick. I’ll be working almost whole Saturday (once again ;D). Currently my job is outside but I might have to change some working hour to other job because of this sickeness. Puistopisteellä oon töissä atm~

For Saturday I fixed Akira’s P4:Dance All Night version. For Sunday I’ll cosplay Shizuo from Durarara!! with @uninenn as Izaya~

I have forgotten to post our Zone-00 photos which were taking during Desucon’s Sunday!

I’m so happy about this shoot~ We had good idea for it (just bros having good time on Sunday drinking x’D) and super nice and talented photographer with great assistant! Photos turned out super great and I was surprised of all the real smile photos of myself there ;v;

I’m proud of my overalls ;D It’s just the shocking bright I wanted it to be xD

We had group of ancient Finnish Gods and Goddesses in Ropecon and I was Tapio~ We had awesome group and I will make some changes to my costume for the next time but I’m really happy with this one~~ And I got lot of such beautiful photos thanks to @xxyumeganxx !!!! *w*

Ropecon line-up~

Ropecon is on weekend~~

On Friday I go in casual ‘cos we might go to zoo before con and I don’t want to stress about costume and I don’t have many costumes with me at my parent’s place.

On Saturday I work at info spot and wear my William Herondale (TID) costume (which I haven’t finished even though I wore this version years ago :”D). To Saturday evening ball I’m wearing formal!Akira (P5) which I have collected from my closet and did some accessories and ordered some from eBay.

On Sunday we have big Finnish ancient gods group and I’ll be forest god Tapio.

Really looking forward to this~~!

Desucon starts tomorrow~~ I’m really looking forward to this con!! Some parts are still unfinished but I can make it!

Tomorrow I might wear Akaashi (HQ!!). I’m still not sure if I want to stress about him ‘cos I haven’t have time to test him and it’s gonna be hot weekend so one day without cosplay could be great ;D

On Saturday I’ll be working in cosplay team aka I’m cosplaymamma and made P4: Dance All Night version for Akira (P5).

And on Sunday I’ll be cosplay from Zone-00 with @mae-rye as Benten~ I made one of Byakko’s overalls for him but color theme is bright blue and pink but there isn’t any coloured pictures of that.

14. How did you choose your URL? My main blog has “dragonfly” in it’s name and I like dragonflies so I wanted to use that and then thought of some adjective which would fit it. "Growling” came from dragons and it’s little pun there and a fun thought of growling dragonflies ;D

17. Pokemon team? Idk, I have never played any Pokemon games ;D But I’d be Instict.

22. How many blankets do you sleep with? Usually one. I like to sleep in cool temperature and I get hot really easily but if it’s too cold or day has been cold, I might sleep with two. During summer I might now have any blankets ‘cos it’s too hot.

23. Dream job? Costume maker/designer in threatre, movies, series. Or something to do with animals.

Hanami @ Roihuvuori

On Sunday there will be hanami in Helsinki and finally I’ll be able to attend! I have been talking about going to hanami many years but always there has been something so I haven’t been able to. Now I’m excited~

I decided to do cosplay there. I’m making yukata version for Bungou’s Chuuya~ It’s from BSD x Love Heaven crossover.

I’m happy that these is official yukata versions for Chuuya ‘cos I like him so much~~

We were successful~

Popcult Helsinki was great~! I had great time with my friends and true icying on cake was that me and @raistlanacosplay came second in costume design competition wit our Tulkas and Nessa costumes~!

Our skit planning went great and we did well in competition~ We managed to perform without problems and day was great.

I’m really happy with my Tulkas cosplay now. I made changes to makeup and did reusable beard _b

Thanks to my friends whom hang out in con (even for short time) and thanks to cosplay crew for making our competition experience good~

Our Valar group was again in Tracon in last September with some additions and we had con’s “official” photoshoot. Nice amount of good photos~ I especially like the first one~~ I’m glad my idea of Tulkas carrying Nessa was successful!

Me and Nessa are going to take part in costume design competition in next con~~ I should finish fixing Tulkas and we need to start practicing our skit.

I pulled out P5 protagonist/Akira from my closet and cosplayed him as I want to pick up my game last week~ And then had little photoshoot with @hell-fisher~~

I love every second of this game! I’m about half way through and I want to know what happens but I don’t want it to end ;_; And I feel like I just want to ditch almost all other cosplay plans and just cosplay from P5 x’D I’m making Akira’s P4: Dance All Night version to con in June so at least something to ease my pain but I want to make school unifrom and Joker costume and I want to cosplay Yusuke and Akechi too~

I cosplayed Fai as some CLAMP tumbler version last year. I wore him earlier but in small con in November I had short shoot after con day~

Amazing @xxyumeganxx was the photographer and we shooted in shopping mall since it was really cold outside and already late. Even it wasn’t the best place but yumegan did awesome editing magic and these turned out great~! *_*

I really want to make costume for Fai from TWC but I don’t know when I have time... I have some fabrics for it already.
