Happy Fouth of July! 🇺🇸 (at Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania)
All finished! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is my first attempt at a pie. I'm afraid to bake it.
I've been talking a jewelry fabrication class. Tonight I was attempting to solder the bezel to the foot. Instead I melted the solid sliver bezel. Whoops. (at Erie, Pennsylvania)
Late Night Sleeping Med Thoughts
If I'm sick. And Matt's sick. And Charlie's sick. Does that mean our future adopted kids will be cursed too?
Spoonie Family Problems
Tomorrow is my 28th birthday. We have two doctors appointments scheduled. One for my chronically ill husband and one for my chronically ill cat.
Not being able to help the person you love most when they're in agony is the most helpless feeling in the world.

I’ve Missed Tumblr
Starting a new tumblr and following people again that I used to follow is making me all nostalgic and happy. I know that sounds weird and maybe over dramatic, but I don't care.
I started a tumblr first in 2009 (kaitmarie.tumblr.com), after creeping on a few for awhile. On that first tumblr I pretty quickly started talking to some amazing people that are still I'm my life today. For seven years I've talked to the same humans, just because I met them on a blogging site. I've missed you all. ❤️❤️❤️
Do you ever just look at other people and wonder what it would be like to not need to take medicine every day just to function properly?
Exquisite Oil Flower Paintings by Jan Ironside
American artist Jan Ironside’s signature impasto technique is immediately recognizable in her flower portraits. With the use of vibrant and complimentary colors, Ironside uses her palette knife to create texture and a mesmerizing 3D quality to each piece. By thickly layering oil paint and using different shades of light and dark, the artist is able to create dimension on a flat surface to an extremely delicate and dainty subject.
A favorite muse in art, flowers are usually depicted in soft and subtle colors with an ethereal sensibility. Ironside challenges the traditional standards of beauty in artistry and provides one of the most beautiful figures on Earth a source of density, strength, durability and vitality with thick layers of oil paint on the canvas.
Armed with her palette knife, Ironside is able to depict the most stunning flowers, including daisies, peonies, sunflowers, and hydrangeas among other favorites. Ironside masterfully captures the quality and essence of each flower. Tulips are given a soft lavender color, which evokes their grace and gentle nature, whereas the lush presence of peonies, a favorite of many, is portrayed in a bright pink hue, the color of femininity and beauty.
Outstandingly radiant, the shapely illustrations are dazzling creations composed in a 113-year-old studio in the historic district of a small southern town in Arkansas. You can find her entire collection in her Etsy shop.

Um, hi.
I’m Katie.
I used to tumble at chronicallykatie.
I haven’t used it in ages, so I just decided to start a new tumblr.
If you remember me from then, drop me a message and tell me hi and who you are.
I’m going to try to follow a lot of people that I used to follow, but so many have changed their usernames and such.
