Sunrise on the border between France and Switzerland

High above the western side of Durango this trail system provide spectacular vistas of the Eastern La Plata Mountains. Part of the log chutes trails above the Colorado Trail terminus. Psycho Tower in the Paradox Valley above the Delores River is on the far western end of Colorado almost touches Utah but it’s one of the few classic Colorado sandstone tower adventures. Pictured here with typical turbulent spring weather. Be prepared to drive 13 miles down a dirt road and scramble up a steep Talus field to get this view. The other side is incredibly overhung with a seemingly impossible traverse across the overhang. I've done it and the view from the summit is quite special. Many other fantastic pinnacles downstream from this, with views to the La Sal Mountains in the distance in Utah. Discovered at Psycho Tower, San Miguel County, Colorado. See more at Trover

Perhaps the best place to watch the sunrise over Durango CO. Take a very early start to find a clear view on top. Views of the La PLata Mountains and downtown Durango including the Twilight Peaks to the far north of town. Discovered at Smelter Mountain, Durango, Colorado. See more at Trover

Almost in Colorado and surrounded by noisy gas pumping stations. Cox canyon Arch is a smaller version of Utah’s famous delicate arch. But without the crowds. I had it all to myself this weekend whilst self isolating. Discovered at Cox Canyon Arch, San Juan County, New Mexico. See more at Trover

The views from just east (THERE IS A FENCED PULL OUT) of the summit of the Dallas divide near Ridgeway, CO. are defiantly worth getting up early for. Even though it was a 4.30am start tio get this shot it was totally worthwhile for the fantastic light Behind Mount Sneffels this morning, RIdgeway has great coffee and the Hot springs At Dunton are close by for a warm up. Waiting the the perfect moment at sunrise in the Bears Ears National Moument. A friend bouldering for a high Point at dawn on the Technicolor Boulders in Indian Creek Utah down the Beef Basin Road. Fall is coming and the storms on the mountains of the San Juans are just beginning. A favorite location is this old cabin caught between rainstorms, behind are the Twightlight peaks on the right and the Vestal Range on the left. Discovered at Molas Pass, San Juan County, Colorado. Located just below the summit of Molas Pass, Andrews Lake has perfect night skies and the is no light pollution. Here the milky Way was slightly occluded by some low clouds but that just added the the atmosphere. Discovered at Andrews Lake, San Juan County, Colorado. See more at Trover

Late night watching the milky way crossover the summit of Snowdon Peak. This was shot at around 1.30am, the lack of light pollution in the San Juan Mountain is great giving a super opportunity to capture this low light image.
