Secretary of State John Kerry just apologized for the department's 20th-century purge of LGBT employees. Now a new opera brings the lamentable Lavender Scare to life.
I’m honored that my work on Fellow Travelers led The Advocate to ask me to write an Op Ed on Secretary of State John Kerry’s Monday apology for the State Department’s policies that led to the purge of LGBT department employees beginning in the early 1950s.  You can view my editorial via http://bit.ly/gszkerry.
