i feel like i prob have posted on this before or at least reblogged a take i agree with but trans men are women. They feel like men because they, like us, are also tired of misogyny towards women so their solution is to attempt to opt out of their oppression and social role
which doesn't work. look at elliot/ellen page - she's still being treated as a woman and getting insulted on a daily by men because they don't like the fact she actually didn't conform to feminity in the end. (although she took it further by attempting to join her own oppressors)

politically, there have been male leaders who have had good policies regarding women. like lenin etc, but because they are not women and they haven't lived as a woman since childhood, they cannot fully understand feminsm and what is to be done about fixing the patriarchy and liberation of women
i do actually talk and socialize with men and personally, recently i cut off a male friend because, even though he's a leftist and believes in feminism, he still had strange misogynistic undertones - he tried to tell me a friend liked him, as if he wanted me to instigate something between us? (like he had a chance with either of us). also other men i speak to will seem normal until it gets to the "controversial" topics of political conversations and they all disagreed with me that prostitution is rape (despite acknowledging the unethicalness of it which is like oh you're sooooo close)
so i would say just don't rely on them or trust them and keep a very surface level relationship with them because no they are not your allies

I liked The Florida Project since it depicted prostitution as a horrible last resort means of survival, with equally horrible consequences, and nothing sexual was ever actually shown on screen so it didn't feel exploitative (at least to me).
