Allow people to like you, to enjoy your company, to want to be your friend. Allow them to compliment you, allow others to think you're cool and funny even if you think you're not. It is not up to you to tell others how to feel, and remember that people might see the positive things in you and qualities that you have been failing to see while being too self-critical. Allow yourself to be liked by other people, even when you don't see why they should. Don't self-isolate because you think you are not good enough for other people.
Bacolod City, 2018 (Photo taken and edited by me)
“It’s only a thought, and a thought can be changed. I am not limited by any past thinking. I choose my thoughts with care. I constantly have new insights and new ways of looking at my world. I am willing to change and grow.”
— Louise Hay
beach things
the vehicles make their way
through the rocky, narrow path
parents and kids scrambling out
after an hour at last.
numerous heads but of one,
dressed in bright, breezy clothes,
ready to have fun. the women
go about, preparing the table,
the men you can see, plugging
in random wires setting up the ktv.
the kids run to the shore,
“there they go again,” the
crab says once more. all
they know is how to take
photos, laugh and make jokes.
among them is a boy, who
wanders on his own. “no,
not again,” the crab says
once more, burying itself
beneath the sand as the
boy tries to pick one up
after the other.
