goldenless:
Beatrice couldn’t help but be a bit startled by the sudden loud noise. It was immediately clear: this was the noise made by someone who was definitely displeased. Well, it wasn’t completely unwarranted, though, as she definitely shared the same sentiment.
It was perhaps a bit easier this time… She actually knew where she was now. Well, not where she was but this definitely was not the city she had lived in for the last year and a half. At least she was given a brochure this time.
Ah, the irony of getting into another island…
…. And all by her lonesome as well…
A rhytmic tap of heels emanated from the hallway as the witch decided to make her presence know to what seemed to be her new roommate. Hands folded, she leaned against the livingroom wall.
“… Looks like you and me both ended up here against our will… or am I wrong?“
A sofa cushion hits the wall with a soft thwap as his apparent new roommate enters the living room. Gundyr freezes, arm still held aloft mid-throw, a look of frustration skipping quickly over to alarm and then smoothing out into something more placid (in this case, a glare, as if she had just interrupted something important).
“...You speak true,” he replies after a moment, cautious. The champion’s hand falls and he busies himself cracking each of his knuckles in steady sequence--a restless habit. “I had thought one relocation would be enough for our captors. And now--” He cuts himself off in a wordless huff, gestures broadly at the apartment and the city lying beyond its walls.
He waits one beat, two, sucks a deep breath in through gritted teeth, inclines his head ever so slightly in a nod of acknowledgement. “Champion Gundyr, of the Untended Graves. Your cohabitant, it would seem.”
Calm and collected again. As if the temper tantrum of a moment ago had never happened at all.
