Jason can’t help but scowl underneath his mask , gloved hand raised , palm resting against the smooth metal of his helmet. Did he think he was morally correct for taking the lives of others ?  in some ways yeah , what was the world without one more fucking scumbag wasting oxygen ?  a  better fucking place that’s what it was.

          Nobody would miss them.  If only he knew how much she agreed with that statement.  How she wished so many of these scumbags could permanently leave this city, but at the end of the day, what does that make her?  A monster of equal proportion on the opposite end of the spectrum.  A woman so far away from what her father had taught her, it would bring shame to her name.

           ❛  You don’t think I consider that on a daily basis?  You don’t think I wish things were different for you?  That none of this ever happened?  You can’t use your past as an excuse to do all of this, Jason!  I know you’re better than this.  Smarter than this …  ❜  Barbara bites her lips together.  She remembers the boy so full of life, so full of joy, so full of emotion while soaring across the rooftops as Robin.  The one who needed help learning to control his emotions.  It wasn’t all rage.  It wasn’t all frustration.  It was confusion too.  Unsure of what to make of different situations and what the right call was.  He needed a guiding hand, not a night job punching faces into a pulp.

HE’D NEVER SINK SO LOW TO ATTACK HER , circumstances be damned he did hold some level of respect for her and what she did for the crew , even in the past she had told Bruce to get him HELP , mental help to deal with the underlying violent nature that hid under his flesh and like usual her advice had gone ignored , he didn’t blame HER , he didn’t even blame Bruce.             HE BLAMED THE MONSTERS IN GOTHAM , IN THE WORLD , they were the reason that he did what he did , not because he took joy in ending lives or playing executioner , but it was easier than pretending that locking up criminals made a damn bit of a difference at the end of the day. They always came out the same , didn’t matter how long they were locked up , they’re better off with a damn bullet between their eyes , they all were.

But she wouldn’t get it unless he exposes the target for his crimes , show her how much of a monster this guy was.  He sends the information to her , knowing she had some connection no matter where she was. He rests the rifle on his shoulder , eyeing her as he turns his back on the target , stepping his way to the edge of the building.  “   drugs  ,  human trafficking ,  prostitution ... , murder... all things that he was convicted of... things that he got away with because he flashes his goddamn wealth  like he’s the fucking shit...  “   A sigh then as he looks over his shoulder , down at the city and it’s tapestry of concrete and steel “  if you think the sunnuvabitch deserves to live I won’t pull this trigger...  “

A typical nothing that he always dealt with , no hope of redemption , best left with a bullet between the eyes. Gloved hand gestures towards the battered form as he passes by her and walks to lean himself against the wall.  “   i don’t know what you want with this piece of trash…   “ He reaches for the knife strapped to his hip and begins tossing it up in the air. “ But make it quick , he doesn’t wanna keep the devil waiting…  “ knife tossed in the air , twirling overhead and then winding up back in his hand , action repeated over and over again

❝      yes.      well      …      ❞            she   steps   forward   once   advance   is   granted   by   his   retreating   steps.            ❝      …      that’s   exactly   why   i’m   here.      ❞            even   in   the   dark,            her   smile   cuts   through   shadow,            silver-hued   in   the   same   shade   that   her   tongue   is   dipped   in   as   she   steps   over   the   man’s   writhing   body   to   collect   the   front   of   his   shirt.            it’s   effortless,            the   way   the   woman   has   him   poised   beneath   her   before   she   whispers   something   into   his   ear            -      it   is   met   with   a   choked   sound   of   speech   that   forces   her   to   drop   him   mercilessly   like   he   stains   her   touch.            ❝      i   think   perhaps   you   hit   him   in   the   head   a   few   too   many   times.      ❞

“   well ain’t that a damn shame.    “  jason sighs and catches the knife in the palm of his hand , obviously he really didn’t care in the slightest about his target’s wellbeing , why would he ? His voice can’t disguise the amusement in his tone as he pushes his weight from the wall , walking back towards the guy , proceeds to draw his gun and kneel down , barrel of the gun placed at the back of his neck , gazing over his shoulder at her. “ So i can kill him now right ?  “ He had not planned on being interrupted much less for this piece of scum to draw breath after he beat him to a pulp and then shot him.
