Bojnice Castle is one of the most famous and romantic castles in Slovakia. It was originally built as a wooden fortress in the 12th century and later rebuilt in stone. Over the centuries, it belonged to several noble families, but its current fairy-tale appearance comes from a reconstruction in the late 19th century by Count János Pálffy, who was inspired by French castles along the Loire River.

Today, the castle functions as a museum and is a popular tourist attraction known for its beautiful architecture, legends, and the International Festival of Ghosts and Spirits held there every year. 🏰
