Well, this certainly wasn’t how he was picturing his calm walk through the gardens to go. Thankfully, it seemed his reflexes had yet to catch up with his old age. This time. Staring down at the man who was now situated in his arms, Vladimir rolled his eyes at the sudden poking of his cheek, resisting the urge to simply drop the man to the ground.
That would be terribly rude of him.
So, he instead cautiously lowered the man, hands hovering in case he fell again, eyes watching for any sign that he might stumble or fall–he appeared to be the clumsy sort. After a moment, he turned his gaze to the tree that the other fell from, a brow arching.
“Surely, you have better things to do than climbing trees, I imagine?” He asked, electing to ignore the obvious flirtation. Commenting on it would do no good, it would only be him acknowledging it which would likely lead to further flirtation. “There are easier ways to get fruit. Might I suggest a trip to the kitchen, instead?”
lyserg was by no means physically incapable of athletic feats . sure , he was also not as gifted in that arena as his other siblings , but he could hold his own when required and could fare decently well if left on his own . but the other male was not yet aware of that , lyserg assumed . he doubted that the master of war knew him at all .
not that he held it against the other party ; it was lyserg's job to know everyone , not his . not exactly to the same degree , at least .
and so he allowed himself to take on a role less physically capable as one who had done his time in the army . upon his feet touching the ground , his knee ❛ buckled ❜ ( through no effort of his own , surely ) and he lost his balance again once more . he let out a ( feigned ) yelp and his hands held on to the war master's shoulder for support , his frame leaning forward and pressing against the other's . most definitely because his legs were still weak and he was unable to support his own weight , how could there be any other reason ?
❝ if i had told you it was my job to climb up trees , would you be interested in knowing how that is so ? ❞ his eyes reflected innocence . not in any way that of how he was assessing every minute shift in expression , every word spoken , every inflation of the other male's tone , to gauge his interest.
