SORRY
Hey, I just wanted to let y'all know, that I've had some super rough weeks at school which left me with no time to work on the Raistafina fic. I haven't forgotten it, and I'm sorry I haven't finished it, I'll get to it as soon as I can.
Yes please, write one for Raistafina. Our fandom hasn't been active lately. :(((
I've started working on it! :)
Why not Raistafina
Do you mean why I haven't published any Raistafina fics yet? Actually I'm not sure, I like that pairing too and I promise you I'll write one :) (If you meant the drabble, I just imagined it with McKayla and Aliya and that's why I wrote it that way). BTW, this just reminded me to say that if you have any WAG prompts, message me and I'll try to write them. :)
Death Glares (mustafaroney drabble)
Hey guys, I've been really busy, which explains the lack of posts recently, but here's something I wrote on the bus. I hope you like it, sorry it's so short. Death glares. It seemed like it was all they had in common. Nobody would have thought. Not even them. But in that moment, when they first locked eyes, everything changed. Thumps-ups led to hugs that led to kisses. And on that fateful night, they just stared into each other's eyes and then they both smiled. They swore to keep it a secret. So the next day, they went back to death glares, but they couldn't keep a little smile from creeping onto their lips.
Presents (mckyla)
Hey guys, here's the full fic. I hope you like it.
disclaimer: none of this is real
Kyla was almost bursting with excitement. She had been planning this for so long and now the day has finally come. She kept going over the words in her head; she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect.
She glanced at her watch. 4:21 PM. McKayla would be home soon.
McKayla stopped the car, grabbed her gym bag and sighed. After a terribly long and exhausting day at the gym, she was finally home. Dropping her bag next to the washing machine, she somehow climbed the stairs and was greeted by a silence that was unusual in the Maroney household. She stared into space for a few moments, furrowing her brows, thinking hard and then she remembered. Her parents had gone to some super important meeting in God-knows-where and took Tarynn with them. Kav had taken advantage of this and went over to a friend's house. McKayla sighed again. It was December 9th, her birthday, and yet she was completely alone. Of course they would celebrate together over the weekend. Of course everyone had wished her a happy birthday at the gym. But still, it somehow saddened her to be on her own.
She thought of Kyla. How they had made plans and how they were all shattered when Kyla announced that she wouldn't be able to come. She said that she really had to go and visit her grandparents. McKayla couldn't blame her, of course. She knew that if Kyla had had another option, she would have gone with that. But no.
Desperate to find something to eat, McKayla walked over to the fridge. She ran her eyes over the usual yellow Post-its covering the door and spotted a red one. It said:
Dear McKayla,
Happy birthday, first of all. I'm sorry that I can't be there to say this in person, but I don't want you to be sad on your special day, so I have planned something else.
I sneaked in once when you weren't home and hid some cool stuff all over the house.
What you have to do is find them. This letter is the first clue. You should think back to the first time we met and you'll know where to go next.
Enjoy the treasure hunt!
Love, Kyla
McKayla smiled a little. She had known Kyla for her whole life, but this proved that she could always come up with something totally unexpected.
It was Kyla's first day at Gym-Max and she was a little scared of meeting a lot of people at once. She kept thinking âWhat if I don't fit in? What if they are all going to hate me?â. She tried to be friendly but to her it seemed that no one was really willing to talk to her. She felt that they were all judging her. She only experienced a moment of happiness when they had to climb a rope and she was the first one to get to the top. Then the coach told the group to stretch and Kyla was surprised when she saw a girl making her way towards her.
- Hi! - the girl said, as she sat down next to her. - I'm McKayla. You climb really fast, did you know that?
- Hi. - Kyla said quietly and then introduced herself. - And thanks.
And this little exchange was the first step in a years-long journey together.
McKayla sat on the floor, surrounded by tons of crumpled leotards. She didn't really like to admit it, but she was a hoarder, especially when it came to leos. She dug into the bag again and pulled out a faded flowery piece. Her first real leotard, which her mom had to wash every single day, because for months, McKayla had refused to wear anything else. It meant a lot to her and it was connected to every important moment in her early life. She sat there for minutes, reminiscing when she realized that she didn't spend hours trying to find this leo for no reason. There was a small piece of paper attached to it, which read:
You were my first friend and I'll never forget that day. You always supported and encouraged me and with you, I was never afraid. However, the same can't be said about you. I do remember us going to a place and you were beyond terrified.
It was an unusually cold day in California. It had been raining since 8 AM and Kyla was devastated. She wanted to go to the playground with McKayla but the weather made it just impossible. Kyla's mom saved the day by taking the two girls to the aquarium. They both enjoyed seeing the huge tanks filled with colorful fish. They held turtles and laughed when they saw penguins waddling. Their visit was almost over, and they walked over to the last tank. Kyla's mom wanted to take a photo of them standing next to it and was about to hit the button when McKayla's eyes widened and she ran away screaming. They all ran after her and found her in a corner, still shaking. She explained that she saw a giant shark eat a fish, and then it started to swim towards her.
- They're behind the glass. They can't come out and eat you. - Kyla's mom tried to calm her down. McKayla eventually stopped crying but she refused to go back to that tank. Kyla remembered this so well because this was the first time she had seen McKayla cry.
McKayla carefully removed the back of the photo frame and smiled triumphantly when she saw the note.
- This is so easy. - she thought, and started to read it.
That was the only time I've seen you cry out of fear. And while it was kind of funny, I prefer seeing you smile. You have a smile that lights up the entire room, and the happiness in your eyes could calm anyone. Go find something that shines as bright as your eyes do.
McKayla carefully opened the box and lifted her gold medal. A little post-it on it said Look at the other one. McKayla did so, and found the other note which said:
This might be only silver but you're golden to me. - Kyla, you're so cheesy. - McKayla smiled to herself and continued reading. I hope my salty tears on this note didn't damage your medal. I just couldn't hold it any longer. I wish I could be there. If I could, I'd hug you and then pin you against the wall...
McKayla thought about this one for a long time. She looked in the kitchen for a message in the cupboard where her mom kept the salt, but found nothing. She even dug out her Salt DVD, but that wasn't a good guess either. She went back to the âmedal roomâ and carefully examined the wall, but again, found nothing. She was reading the message for the thousandth time when she suddenly had an idea. She ran up the steps to her room, and opened one of her drawers. On a little plate, there was her pin collection from the Olympics. She spotted the note among them and fished it out. It simply said Turn around.
McKayla spun around and at the same time, Kyla emerged from behind the bathroom door, wearing a white robe with a big red bow tied around her waist. McKayla let out a really high pitched âOh my godâ and ran to engulf her in a hug.
- Surprise! - Kyla announced when McKayla let her go.
- But...what...why? - McKayla was truly at a loss of words.
- Did you really think I'd let you celebrate your birthday alone? - Kyla smiled.
- Well no...okay, yes, I actually did. I believed you.
They both noticed something at the same time.
âWhere are your presents?â
âWhy are you dressed like that?â
- Mac, don't tell me you couldn't find your presents. - Kyla exclaimed.
- Wait, was I supposed to?
- Why do you think did I write âsome cool stuffâ ? Did you think I meant the notes?
McKayla took the first note from her pocked and read it again.
- Uhmm, I was so overwhelmed with the notes that I kind of forgot to look for anything else. - she admitted. - But you didn't answer my first question. Why are you wearing this?
- Well, okay, this is really cheesy, but I wanted to be your biggest present. - Kyla said with a shy smile.
Hours passed, but the girls were oblivious to the minutes ticking by. It was a flurry of clothes being thrown around, impatient touches, mumbled words and most importantly it was the two of them, loving each other. They lay on the bed, totally spent, when McKayla suddenly spoke up.
- Ky, wanna go find my presents?
let's say this again, I love getting comments/likes :)
New fic coming soon!
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'm working on a new fic. It's still a long way to go, but here's a little teaser:
"Kyla was almost bursting with excitement. She had been planning this for so long and now the day has finally come. She kept going over the words in her head; she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect.
She glanced at her watch. 4:21 PM. McKayla would be home soon."
Do you feel it too? (mckaly)
Hey guys, this is my first fanfic. I hope you like it :)
Disclaimer: none of this is true
âFinallyâ- thought Aly Raisman, as she plopped down on her bed in London after an exhausting day of training and competing. A minute later a 6' 4â tall mini tornado, usually referred to as McKayla Maroney, entered the room, and uttered about 20 words in 10 seconds. It went like this:
-AlycanIusethebathroombeforeyoubecauseIwanttowashmyhairbecausewearegoingoutwiththemalegymnastslatertonightandI...
- McKayla, please stop talking faster than the speed of light. You can go and wash your hair or whatever you want.- said Aly, and there was a hint of annoyance in her voice. McKayla contemplated asking her what's wrong, but she attributed Aly's behavior to being tired. So she just thanked Aly and went into the bathroom to get ready on time.
Aly heard her open the tap, and sighed. She didn't want to act all angry and everything, but she felt like screaming. There was so much on her shoulders, and she felt like her head was going to burst any minute from the number of thoughts racing through her mind. She opened her bag, and dug out her diary. She grabbed a pen from the nighstand and started scribbling, just as it has always helped her clear her mind in the previous 3 years.
Dear Diary,- she wrote-, today was the day of qualifications. We qualified to the team final, and I got into all-around, beam and floor finals as well. She always started with the good news. The bad thing is that I feel like an evil person, because seemingly, everyone wanted Jordyn to be in AA finals with Gabby and not me. I feel so sorry for Jordyn, but I can't help being happy for myself. Is this so bad? Aly sighed again. This was the easier part, where she could easily summarize events and write down her feelings about it. I talked about this with McKayla, and she pretty much told me that I'm an idiot for caring so much about what other people think. She's always being so supportive of me. Always ready to remind me of my accomplishments and talk some sense into me. Seeing her smile just makes me feel better. Crap, that sounds like something from a lovey â dovey Nicholas Sparks novel. - thought Aly, and crossed it out a hundred times until it was replaced by a blotch of blue ink. She's a really good friend. Much better.
- Alyyyy! Are you in there? - Gabby's voice rang out through the entire corridor. - Have you forgotten? We need to go and give an interview! Come on, we are already late!
âDamn itâ- said Aly to herself, and then yelled âComing!â. She quickly tucked her diary under her pillow, and leaped to her feet, because Gabby was already knocking at the door.
- McKayla, I'm going out for an interview!I'll leave one key here, don't forget to lock the door if you go somewhere, okay? - Aly said to the bathroom door, and then listened for an answer. She soon heard a muffled âokayâ, and ran to the door to greet Gabby. Gabby didn't even say hello, just grabbed her arm, and pulled her toward the elevators.
Minutes later, having realized that her hair couldn't get any shinier, McKayla went back to their bedroom. Not knowing what to do all alone, she texted Kyla.
Hey, wanna go do something?
I can't. I'm comforting Jo, she's really bummed and I don't wanna go without her.
McKayla shook her head, and pursed her lips. âI'll just watch some TV thenâ- she decided and threw a bunch of pillows on the bed to make it more comfortable. She climbed into her newly made castle and was almost content, when she suddenly felt something sharp in her lower back.
- Oww! - she exclaimed â What the heck was that? She removed the pillows and soon found a little notebook with metal corners. She flipped it open, curious to find out what it was and exactly for what reason it was in their bed. On the first page, she found Diary of Alexandra Rose Raisman in beautiful handwriting. McKayla stared at it, dumbfounded. She couldn't help turning the page, and reading a few lines. The first entry was from over a year before. McKayla leafed through the pages, and almost decided it was unworthy of any more of her time, for it mostly contained results of competitions and complaints about being sore, when something caught her eye. Her own, full name. She quickly started to read the entry.
Today was the day of the competition. I messed up my bar routine as always, but I did well on floor&beam. I also made a new friend today. She just walked up to me, told me she liked my floor routine, and introduced herself as McKayla Rose Maroney. I think she has a beautiful name. We laughed about sharing the same middle name but then she had to go.
McKayla was startled by the door creaking, and while she tried to hide what she had been reading, she couldn't fool Aly.
- McKayla Maroney, what...what... - Aly was at a loss of words, which didn't really happen too often. - What the fuck do you think you're doing?!
- Aly, I...I just...
- Don't even try to explain it. Reading my diary, right?
- Aly, I'm sorry, I just found it, I swear I didn't read much...
- Yeah, because I walked in on you! You would probably have posted the whole thing on Twitter. Or instagram! Or whatever social networking site you've become obsessed with!- Aly yelled.
- Aly, I hope you know that I would have never done that. - McKayla made an attempt at speaking in a low and calm voice to appease her, but Aly just pointed at the door and told her to get out.
McKayla realized that she'd better leave, come back later and hopefully talk it over with her. She grabbed her backpack, which contained all her essentials and walked out while Aly just started at her icily. Under normal circumstances, McKayla would probably have told her to lighten up because the smoke coming out of her ears would ruin her hair, but this time she kept her mouth shut.
The moment the door closed, Aly started to cry. Not in the beautiful, one tear trickling down on the cheek way, but with sobs shaking her entire body. She didn't even really know what was so bad about this situation. It's not like they hadn't fought before. She just felt as if a piece of heart and entire being had been taken away.
McKayla went on a walk around the village to clear her head and try to make up a speech that would get Aly to forgive her. She only knew two things, one being that she had done wrong and the other that she didn't want their friendship to end like this.
They didn't talk for two entire days. Aly refused to let McKayla into their room, so she shared with Gabby. The room was tiny, since it had been designed for one person, but at this point McKayla was thankful for even having a place to crash. And also, Gabby didn't question why any of them acted that way towards each other, which was good, because McKayla definitely wasn't in the mood to give answers.
Aly felt even worse. Her heartache hadn't gotten better and she wanted McKayla back, to be there again, with her, to ease her loneliness and fill that empty space in her heart.
She tried to take her mind off her by training even harder, reading, watching movies or spending countless hours on 9gag, but apart from a few weak smiles, it didn't really affect her mood.
On the third day, McKayla thought that Aly possibly couldn't hold out any longer. She decided to go and talk to her after training. She walked straight to Aly's door and knocked.
Aly's heart fluttered when she heard the knock.âIt might be McKayla!â - she thought. -â Or room service, like the last 28 times. â - she whispered bitterly .âCome in!â - she said out loud. She scooped out her purse to get a few pounds out and was trying to choose between 2 flavors of ice cream, when she heard a laugh. A laugh she knew very well.
- Aly, I've argued with a lot of people and made up with them too, but no one has ever tried to pay me for forgiveness. - McKayla said, almost doubling over from laughing so hard.
Aly felt her heart already starting to beat faster. As much as she wanted to lecture McKayla about privacy and politeness, she did what her instincts told her to do, and wrapped McKayla in a hug.
- I've missed this so much. - she whispered a minute later when they were still standing with their arms wrapped around each other.
- I've missed you. - Aly said simply and looked up to see her face. Although she had seen McKayla countless times in her life previously, she was awestruck by her beauty. Those eyes, looking like diamonds. That flawless skin. Those plump lips, smiling slightly. And in this moment, all the thoughts that had been circulating in her mind for months, merged into one, which was: Oh my god, I love her. And as if she had lost her sanity, or control of her muscles, she leaned forward and kissed McKayla on the lips.
McKayla had been expecting a lot of things. A hug, yes. Aly throwing a pillow at her, yes. Aly dancing around the room, like an idiot, chanting âwe're best friends againâ, even that. But she never expected to be kissed by her best friend. It shocked her so much that as soon as Aly pulled away, McKayla muttered âI'm sorry, I need to goâ and ran out of the room.
Aly was devastated and angry at the same time. Devastated, because she was sure she'd messed everything up for eternity and angry, because it was all her fault. âWhy did I have to go and do that?â - she asked herself this question every minute. -âAnd when did I actually fall in love with her? Am I really in love? Does she hate me now? Or is she disgusted with me? Oh my goodness, what if I had bad breath?!!â - Her head almost burst with these thoughts and many more.
McKayla felt more dizzy than after doing a zillion 3œ twists. She walked around the village, just as she had always done when she needed to clear her head, occasionally kicking a stone. She just couldn't come to a conclusion. She kind of expected herself to be grossed out but she wasn't. The kiss had felt weird, but the good kind of weird. It made her head spin and her stomach was full of butterflies. When the sun started to go down, she suddenly realized that she was freezing and hurried back to their room.
She found Aly sitting on the bed, staring into space.
- Aly, I know you're rock solid on everything, but have you turned into a stone? - McKayla waved her hand in front of Aly's eyes to snap her out of it. She was succesful because Aly screamed and almost fell of the bed.
- McKayla, what are you doing here?
- I sleep here, you know...
- So you're not mad at me? - Aly asked, surprised.
- Why would I? - McKayla frowned.
- Uhm, ya know, because...okay, I'll say it. I'm sorry for kissing you. I just felt that I needed to do it, and I swear it won't happen again, and I really hope it won't change our friendship and... - Aly said it all with the same breath.
- Aly...sshhh. You don't have to be sorry. You haven't done anything wrong. I...I'm just confused. I didn't run out of the room because it was bad. I did because it was ⊠good. There was something about it which I can't really define or understand. I mean, up to this day, I was convinced that I was straight. Now... I'm not so sure about that... - McKayla whispered the last part.
- It's not that I've always known. - Aly guided McKayla to sit on the bed next to her. - Actually, I've just recently realized it. After I kissed you, I flicked through my diary...- McKayla winced at hearing the word diary -and I found your name on every single page. That's when I knew. - McKayla said nothing, so Aly went on.- It's funny, isn't it? How I practically had the truth in my hands and yet never noticed it. But that doesn't change anything. If you don't feel the same way, we can forget everything about it.
- No! - McKayla exclaimed. - I don't want to forget about...us. - she stopped for a moment, contemplating whether to dare to say the next thing that came to her mind. - Kiss me again.
- Are you sure? - Aly was trying to hold back her emotions, but her heart fluttered at the thought of kissing McKayla.
- Yes. I am.
Aly put her hand on McKayla's shoulders and started to lean in, but she could feel McKayla's muscles flexing. She was too nervous.
- Mack, relax. - she whispered.
- I can't. I just feel like... I don't know what I'm doing.
Aly suddenly had an idea. She went for McKayla's most ticklish spot, her waist, and soon they were on the floor laughing.
- Alyyyy! Stop tickling meeeee! - McKayla screamed.
Aly did so and they lay on the floor, their bodies entangled. With one swift motion Aly swept McKayla's hair out of her face and pressed her lips to hers. First McKayla tensed up as before, but after a few moments, to Aly's relief, she began to kiss back.
When they ran out of breath, they both sat up, smoothing down their hair. For a few minutes no one spoke.
- I feel it too. - McKayla said slowly, looking at Aly. - And you know what else I feel?
- What?
- That it should be my turn now! - McKayla announced with her trademark smirk returning, and she pounced on Aly to give her one more kiss. Or two. Or a thousand.
When they finally broke apart, McKayla said: âWell, I actually think, it's a good thing that I read your diary.â Aly hit her with a pillow in response, and then they went back to their blissful kissing, snuggling and everything else inbetween.
I would be really happy to get likes/comments!
