their s/o not taking care of themselves

⊹ SEUNGCHEOL ‘s

scoups, being a leader, is used to making sure others are cared for and taking care of themselves — even more so his partner. when he gets a phone call one evening and it’s your boss, saying you collapsed at work he immediately rushes to the building. you go downstairs from being sent home early and seungcheol is waiting for you, a disapproving frown on his face. he scolds you about overworking yourself but he tries not to make a huge deal out of it, knowing you probably don’t feel too good right now. “ agh, seriously yn — you need to take care of yourself more, you worry me .”

⊹ JEONGHAN ‘s

jeonghan likes to take care of people and baby them, so he’s more than happy to care for you — but he’ll definitely worry if you neglect your own needs too much. perhaps school or work had been getting too stressful and you’d let everything build up and one day it all gets too much, you’re sat at your desk sobbing into your hands, an exam booklet sat in front of you. jeonghan hurries into the bedroom from the bathroom hearing your faint cries and immediately goes to cradle you in his arms. when you explain to him what’s going on, he frowns and sighs softly, “ oh angel, let’s take a lil break? i’ll go and cook you something, yeah ?”

shua seems like someone who’d be very observant with his partner, he likes to watch over you to make sure you’re ok, so the slightest shift in your mood or personality concerns him. you’d come home late one night, your eyes heavy and an evident frown on your face. your slide out of your coat & are immediately searching for your boyfriend, all you want to do is fall asleep in his arms as you hadn’t been giving yourself a lot of good nights sleep recently. when you crash into his welcoming embrace, he furrows his brows and asks if you’re ok, which sets you off into tears. you explain how tired and drained you feel and joshua feels his heart pang. “oh sweetheart … it’s ok. let’s just rest now, alright ?”

⊹ JUNHUI ‘s

jun may not notice until you break. not because he doesn’t care, i just think he’s not as observant as the others. like jeonghan, it’s not until jun hears your cries he comes rushing towards you, pulling you into his chest as his hand rubs up and down your back. you explain that you’d left your school work too late and now it all feels like too much and jun frowns, pulling you onto the bed with him. for the rest of the night, he’s helping you with all your work, all the whilst looking up at you every so often just to check you’re not too upset still. “ oh, well that’s ok honey - here, pass me those papers — your smart boyfriend will help you out .”

⊹ SOONYOUNG ‘s

hoshi can’t help but notice the twist of discomfort in your face, but every time he asks about it you brush him off. but you suddenly grab ahold of his hand as tight as you can and you whimper out that you feel weak, before your knees buckle and you go towards the floor. hoshi of course catches you, and the boys all hurry to fetch you water. when your eyes flutter open again, hoshi’s frowning down at you — he asks you when the last time you ate was and you mumble something about not remembering, his heart feels fear. “ baby, please you’ve got to take care of yourself more, it worries me sick to think that you’re not eating properly .”

wonu has been busy with work and so the two of you haven’t been able to see each other a lot, and by the tone of your texts and your voice in calls, he can’t tell you’re not feeling good. so he takes a day off solely to go and see you, and when he walks into your messy room and sees you curled under the covers, shielding away from everything, he feels so, so sad. gently peels the covers off you and sees your tired eyes looking up at him, he pulls you into his arms immediately. “ hiya pretty, you not feeling too good, hm ?”

woozi is prone to neglecting his needs too, so he comes off as slightly hypocritical when he scolds you — but he just cares about you so much and it worries him to no end that you’re not caring for yourself. when you come to bring him dinner while he’s at the studio and he thanks you, pulling you onto his lap w/ a kiss to your forehead, he asks you what you had for dinner & when you fumble for an answer, looking down at your thumbs sheepishly — his face drops. “ what have i told you about skipping meals ? being busy isn’t an excuse, i need you to take care of yourself, ok ?”

you text him one day, warning him not to pick you up from work as you’d been sent home sick — of course he goes home straight away from wherever he was so come and take care of you. he comes to find you sniffling, medicine thrown onto the bedside cabinet, you’re holding your pounding head and your eyes are heavy with tiredness. dk rushes to slip into the bed next to you and cradles you into his chest. “ is this from you overworking yourself again, ah you worry me so much … let’s get some sleep now, ok ?”

you always love mingyu’s cooking, so when you start to refuse his meals, stating that you’re simply too busy to eat and that you’ll just heat up something later he grows sickly worried. he’s stood next to you, a plate of your favourite food in his hands and he listens to you brush him off again. he simply places the plate onto your desk and kneels down besides you, grabbing a hold of your jaw to make you face him. “ i’m not having you skipping meals for this, you’re much more important than some school work, okay? come downstairs with me, we’re gonna eat together, ok baby ?”

⊹ MINGHAO ‘s

minghao is someone who cares deeply for his loved ones, so he’ll be very hurt and frustrated if you’re not caring for yourself. you have an exam due early tomorrow and your boyfriend is behind you, shooting daggers into your back. it’s the fifth time he’s asked you to take a break now, since you’ve been writing nonstop for hours. you keep telling him you’ll be just a few more minutes, and he knows you’re lying. you yelp in surprise when you’re lifted from your seat and placed into bed, minghao’s arms never loosening from around your waist. “ you’re taking a break whether you like it or not, i care about you, ok my love ?” he tells you.

⊹ SEUNGKWAN ‘s

seungkwan knows a thing or two about overworking yourself, and there’s nothing he hates more than seeing the person he loves most working themselves into a state of despair. his heart literally shatters into pieces when he finds you on the floor, your head in your hands as you cry weakly. he wraps his arms around you and lets you cry into him about how you don’t feel you’re good enough and that you feel all your hard is going into nothing and he’s so sad. “ i don’t see how you could think that yn … you are so much more than good enough, let’s go eat some good food to feel better, how about that, hm ?” he says, shooting you a smile.

⊹ VERNON ‘s

when he hears that you’ve not been taking care of yourself because you’ve been feeling miserable recently, his hurts clenches and he frowns. he sits you up in bed and tells you he’s gonna take the two of you out somewhere, he dresses you if you feel too down, and brushes your hair - placing a kiss to the top of your head. he holds your hand the whole time the two of you walk to his destination — which is just a field, covered in lovely flowers. he sits you between his legs and plugs his earphone into your ear, playing you songs that always make him feel better. “ i’m sorry you feel this way baby, i wish you could love yourself like i love you .”

chan frets over you all the time anyways, but even more so if you feel incapable of being able to look after yourself. you come home from a very stressful day at work and chan can see that you could burst out crying any second now. while you eat the food he brought you back from work, he rushes upstairs to run you a bath. when you’re finished eating, he guides you upstairs by your hand and sits you in the bath - he washes your hair as he lets you vent about your day, and if you don’t want to talk he’s completely fine with that. “ we all have bad days, lovely. but it’s ok, just relax now, mm ?”
