So I created an additional/secondary blog earlier this month and I'll be posting from there now. My OCD think it's neater to have all my personal posts in one blog, rather than to keep posting in this blog, which is messy and interspersed with random reblogs of bunny .gifs and photos of cute animals etc hahaha. I don't think I'll really be posting much on this blog anymore, just keeping it as a procrastinatory tool to view other people's blogs.

The last three weeks of fixed pros were #notthatbad

All set for tomorrow's prac exam :)

There is this prosthodontist who has been presenting some lectures and helping us out in the preclinical lab with fixed prosthodontics.

We've only known him for a bit over a week but this happened today...

*Chris comes over and sits in his usual spot next to me

Dr. Hart: "Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?"

Chris: *blank face, then laughing face

"... because you seem to sit really close together"

Chris: Um no?? Just friends *laughs

"... are you sure?"

LOL.

It's been a while since I posted anything. I guess I've been keeping busy; at least it feels that way. But it's more like the kind of busy where you always seem to have something to do, but then when you look back, you don't know what you've been doing but all this time has passed and you don't know where it went haha.

It's been a lot of fun though. The last time I wrote a post was probably back when I was living at home. I'm now back in Bendigo, living with some of my favourite people. We had a few weeks of rotation in the Bendigo clinic; it was alright, although not the most.. enriching experience lol. Now everyone in the cohort is back for four weeks for the fixed prosthodontics course, so I get to see Meena and others that I haven't spent much time with at all this year, since we're in different rotation groups. Honestly, it feels like no time has passed and we've been hanging out like we've done for the last few years. And I guess this is where all my time goes, it gets spent mostly with people (lucky them haha), and I don't get too much time to myself. Which is how I like it; I also value the short time when it feels like I've got the place all to myself (when the boys are playing basketball and soccer and others at gym).

Anyway, I was just thinking about life after dentistry. I like being a student a lot. Although exams aren't fun (thank goodness we didn't have mid-year exams lol), I love every other aspect of being a student. I like living with my friends and I like 'studying' and I even like seeing patients (most of the time) but not having the full responsibility of looking after all these people like real dentists do.

I hope I enjoy my life when student life ends and I'm out. I don't want too much. I just want to treat my patients well, and I want them to like me and I want my own pretty little place like an apartment or something, and enough to live comfortably and be able to do things I want (like travelling).

That sounds pretty wonderful to me.

Yeah, but jokingly lol - it's still pretty early on in our relationship. A while ago I was telling him about a friend saying that she was treated by a cute dentist. Then I joked that I am going to make a cute dentist in the future. He replied saying 'nah you can stay home and look after the kids' lol! Another time he said I that I can look after our kids while he plays Dota. Fun times ahead hahaha.

We went strawberry picking today; the strawberries were delicious :)
