So I went to Dollar General just to buy ONE thing. ( Yup you already know where this is going) I told myself Im only going in to get tissue and im leaving. THATS IT. On my way to the tissue section I passed by the stationery section and....yeah you guessed it. I went a haulin. Lool! WHATS WRONG WITH ME?? Why cant i ever stick to the shopping plan? I think gratitude is something we should have more of. We complain a lot about the things we dont have or not going right in our lives instead being grateful for the things that ARE going right. I was reading about this one lady who ran in a marathon not knowing she was running into a brush fire. With no way to escape 60% of her body was burned. Fortunately she survived but her face and entire body is completely disfigured. Yet through it all she still remained positive. So whenever Im having a bad day or feel an urge to complain i look at her photo and immediately shut up. This is a Arabic Calligraphy piece I just completed for a client. Its Surah Fatiha on canvas.
