“I’m Gay”
This blog is under construction for the first time in years.
Heel-Face Turn // Evening // Sky and Spike
Too quickly she answered a short, “Mhm, super smart.” Sky shoved her hands in the pockets of the bomber coat and pulled them out again and crossed her arms. Nervousness written in every line of her body she continued edging away, “Not sick.”
In a rush of air a sigh let out and Sky moved closer again. She had to take a couple quick and shallow breaths afterwards, but it was better than a cough. “Yeah exploring’s more fun with someone. And it’s big, haven’t been all over yet, just here.” With one hand she made a gesture meaning just the small section of the newer base-thing-place close to her room. It wasn’t a whole lot, just the hallway leading down to the big common area.
Spike raised an eyebrow as he watched her tense up, slightly confused. He was just worrying about her, and she seemed to look like hell. “Sure you aren’t,” he commented reassuringly, hoping that he didn’t upset her much. She really seemed sick though...
He smiled when she moved closer and nodded. “Yeah. And if you get lost, you have someone to help you find your way back. Though I doubt you’d get lost,” he commented with a grin. “Come on. Let’s see what all these people have been working to add on around here.”

“Thank you.” She offered him a small smile. His nickname pushed her over the edge and brought up some horrible memories. Some that wouldn’t be helpful for her brain right now; he was lucky that she wasn’t yelling at him or freaking out. Dawn’s smile dropped after a few seconds, it had been awhile since it lasted longer than that.
“He’s not my boyfriend.” She snapped at him. “Sorry.” She apologized after realizing what she did. “Not yet anyway,” Dawn tried to cover up what had happened, “it’s nice to come up here. It’s all open and you can think, there’s just so much going on that we forget to breathe. We need places like this.” She rambled on it quietly. Never taking her eyes off of the window in front of her she finished her ramble, “Being up here makes me almost feel free. I can escape from my mind.”
Spike shrugged slightly in response. “Not a problem,” he answered, managing a slight smile. He was the one in the wrong here, and he couldn’t ask anyone to feel bad for the memories that crowded memories of what he had done to Dawn... But they haunted him all the same, and he hated every time they pushed into his mind.
Spike smirked and shook his head. “You could have fooled me, b-Dawn,” he commented, catching himself before he could call her bit. He didn’t want to upset her in the slightest.... He’d done enough of that. “I like being up here. Less judgement here than everywhere.”

She shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest to create some security for herself. “Don’t call be that please… not yet.” Dawn’s voice was quiet and shook a little. Even though he couldn’t hurt her because if she were to scream someone would be able to her. “Good, I’m really not in the mood for violence.” She tried to joke, but it only made her shiver.
“It’s fine, like I said there’s no point in leaving.” Dawn shrugged, never making eye contact with him. There were a few moments of silence between them for she coughed and said, “So, do you come up here often?” She tried strike up a conversation, not really wanting to have dead air since it was already awkward enough.
Spike only nodded, obviously upset but understanding why she didn’t want to be called that after he had done... That to her. “Ok. I won’t, Dawn,” he said after a moment, leaning against the railing and glancing at his out of the corner of her eye occasionally. His frown only deepened when she tried to joke and only seemed to upset herself. He had really buggered up.
“I suppose you’re right,” he agreed softly, not making eye contact either since it seemed to make her uncomfortable. He glanced up and shrugged. “Once in a while. I was trying to get away from Fury and people. Your boyfriend being one.” He didn’t mind being beat up for what he had done, but preferably while he was drunk.

“W-wait.” She called after him in a breathless voice. “Mon- Spike wait.” Dawn knew that this wasn’t going to end well, but she needed to do this. It would happen sooner or later, it just happened sooner than she thought. “You can join me.” She offered him a small smile and motioned to the spot next to her. “That’s if you promise not to hurt me.”
Dawn was getting a little more comfortable around him, but was still completely on edge. Her therapist said it would be good for her to see him and have a small conversation, but like expected everyone disagreed especially Thor. “We both came up here for some air, we shouldn’t have to leave because the other is here.” She turned around and leaned against the railing, staring out the window at the night sky again.
Spike blinked in surprise as she told him to stop, standing there for a moment as he examined the young woman. He could hear how quickly she was breathing, and the breathless voice just tipped him off further. “Thank you, bit,” he said quietly, taking a slow step inside as he watched her and managed a small smile. “Of course I won’t hurt you.”
He could still feel the guilt that crushed around him for what he had done to the girl who probably trusted him most. Besides maybe her big sister. He had gone at her without a soul, and that was a terrifying memory for him. “Well, if you want me to leave, tell me,” he commented quietly, moving closer to her and slowly stepping up to the railing.
Healing || Spike and Dawn || W5
She whipped her head up quickly at the familiar British accent and turned around. By doing this all so quickly she managed to fall through the railing by misplacing her step. After nearly hitting her head up on the way too she managed to finally look at Spike. Dawn knew she looked like an idiot after all that, but in all honesty, she could care less since the person she feared the most was standing just a few feet away. “ W-” She tried to said, but fear took over. This wasn’t anywhere near what her shrink had recommend, hell it was no where near it.
Dawn’s breathing became heavy and she started to panic. She hadn’t seen Spike since Thor had rescued her and to her he was still the monster haunting her dreams. He had caused her so much emotional damage that seeing him now made it even worse than it probably should have. To her mind it was basically the same of being tortured again. Dawn looked around for an escape, but the only one was where he was leaning and there was no way she was going to try for that one. “W-wh-” She tried again, but still nothing.
Spike winced as she jumped and started to turn around. He only had the moment to realize he shouldn’t go after her unless she really hurt herself... She’d be terrified of him, and rightfully so. He didn’t want to make it any worse, and he certainly didn’t want to get any closer if she was going to hurt herself because of it. That certainly wouldn’t be a good thing. “I’m not going to do anything, I’ll go away if you really want me to,” he promised quietly, watching her silently.
He stiffened as she started to hyperventilate and raised his hands slightly, stepping back towards the door to step out. “I’ll leave. I don’t want to upset you,... I didn’t even expect you to be up here,” he promised quietly. “I’m sorry, Bit. For everything I did to you... I’m gonna go unless you ask otherwise.” He took another step back and carefully reached for the door handle, every move slow and careful.
Heel-Face Turn // Evening // Sky and Spike
“I’m not an ant.” Her tongue poked out and Sky made a face at him, “I’m…I dunno yet. Jus’ not an ant. Maybe a birdie.” She laughed a bit, and that brought a small fit of coughing, she did her best to cover it up.
She couldn’t though, not all of it and Sky leaned against him. “Don’t think you’re an ant either. You’re better then the grownups.” A small finger poked at his arm and plucked at leather. “Maybe ant-eater?” The tongue was back, poking between her teeth as she grinned pretending the coughing hadn’t happened. “…Do I gotta?”
Grin faded and replaced with a more fearful look she scooted away and stood up, again trying to change the subject back to exploring. “Can go look together! C’mon.”
Spike chuckled at her reaction, thoroughly amused. “At least if you’re a birdie, it has the Sky to go with it,” he commented teasingly. Of course she would choose to be a bird.
He frowned a coughing fit wracked through her little bitty self, watching quietly and unable to help much. He’d have to remember not to smoke around her. “An ant-eater is a pretty apt description. Aren’t you smart?” he commented, batting at her finger lightly and raising an eyebrow. “Yes, you gotta. Don’t need sick little bits running around.”
Spike frowned slightly as she scooted away before nodding and getting to his feet. “I suppose we can go look around. Better for you to be with someone than all on your own anyways.”
“Now remember when I told you that’s the last you’ll see of me Remember when I broke you down to tears I know I took the path that you would never want for me I gave you hell through all the years”
“You have much anger and pain. Your magic is strong, but your pain… It’s like a scream that pierces dimensional walls. We heard your call.” I’m sorry. I’ll try for a quiet rage.
But I want you to know I did save you. Not when it counted, of course, but after that. Every night after that. I’d see it all again…I do something different. Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways. Every night I save you.
