The girl on fire above

A bike diminished

Traveled from the west

Born nineteen fifty seven

Handlebars are gone!

Chain lock on the sign

Useless, dangling up high

Rear wheel rolled away

Will not cruise down one way

Standing on one wheel

Cross legally in front of

Over this city corner

Constant surveillance

No wheels, trash bags on the seat

Oh, Lafayette Street

Caution required

While traveling in bike lane

And locking bike up

Handlebars are left

Many locks securing them

Steering a ghost bike

Halloween is past

Festive fall bike, half stolen
