What is this “HallowEEKly prompt” thing?
It’s an art challenge I made to inspire artists all around the world to make something spooky this year and REALLY celebrate autumn and Halloween!
The event will start the 1st of October (on a Wednesday) and release a new prompt every week until the end of October. There are 5 Wednesdays in October, so the last prompt will extend into November (I’m sure this is no problem for the spooky month lovers out there who dread the coming of Christmas, lol!)
The goal is to create a design based on the weekly prompts, which you have all week to continue working on. This can be a character’s design, clothing design, notebook design, but ALSO most certainly physical crafts like crochet patterns/crafts, cross stitch works, embroidery, quilting, card design, paper crafts, doll making, woodworking, cake crafters… The list goes on! My wish is for artists of all mediums to be able to participate.
Can I participate as an [traditional, crochet, paper craft, etc.] artist?
YES! Absolutely! People from all walks of life, specialising in all sorts of mediums, can join in on this event. My biggest wish is to inspire many different types of creations from all sorts of mediums with my prompts!
What socials will this event be hosted on?
I’ll be hosting this event on Bluesky, Tumblr and Toyhouse. The prompts will be released on these sites, but you are free to post your works elsewhere! I just can’t reblog/repost your works on those platforms.
What should I tag my creations?

I have no inspiration for this week’s prompt, what do I do now?

Can I make money with/sell works created with these prompts?
Yeah absolutely, do whatever you want with what you’ve created.
Can I make something suggestive/NSFW with these prompts?
I want teens to be able to participate too, so I’d prefer it if all things sexual were either not created or filtered properly so that underage folk don’t stumble upon them. I also won’t be reblogging/reposting works for this nature for that very same reason.
Did you create a character with these prompts and do you want to make NSFW art with said character after the event is over? Feel free to do so. I don’t care about what you’ll do with the creations afterwards! I just don’t want minors to go on the #halloweeklyprompts/#halloweekly tag and see unfiltered #halloweeners!
