Just two hours ago, a café not far from me was hit in an airstrike. Ten lives were lost in that moment.

This pain… it only strengthens our will.

I’ve been thinking for a while about joining a design course on GD WORKSHOP with the amazing instructor Abdullah Yaseen. I kept hesitating — unsure if it was the right time.

But after what happened today, I went ahead and bought it.

I felt like I had to. Like I needed to prove — to myself and to the world — that we can do this.

We can keep going, keep growing, even while everything around us is falling apart.

May God give us more strength. Always. ✊

My name is Hamdi. I’m a father of three: Lama (9), Hussam (6), and Maram, who is now 1 year and 2 months old.

We’ve been trapped in a year-long war that has taken everything from us. Our home was destroyed. We’ve been displaced again and again, and now we’re living in torn tents that can’t protect us from the sun, wind, or cold.

But things have gotten even worse.

We no longer have flour to make bread. There’s no baby formula or diapers for Maram. Some days we go to sleep hungry—other days, we don’t sleep at all because of the pain of hunger and fear.

Maram, our youngest, is growing up in the middle of war. Her first steps were not in a safe home, but on dust-covered ground. Her laughter is rare—but we still hold onto hope.

We don’t ask for much—just the basics: shelter, food, baby needs, and safety.

My little daughter Maram is in desperate need of diapers, but we can no longer afford them as the price has soared to $80. 😔 How did it come to this? Why must innocent children suffer such injustice? 😢

Maram recently fell ill, and when we took her to the hospital, she was diagnosed with gastroenteritis caused by the poor-quality food we’re forced to eat. 🏥💔 We’ve stopped giving her the food from the charity kitchen because of its harmful effects and have been trying to give her tomatoes for their benefits. But even tomatoes have become so expensive that we can’t afford them daily. 🍅 Fresh potatoes and the natural foods Maram needs feel like a distant dream. 🥔🍽️
