Hi! Apologies if this has been asked before, but as fandom is working through the stages of grief re: s8, I was wondering if a reprint of the Hanakotoba zine was a possibility? Perhaps even as a bundle with the Nova zine? I didn’t have a chance to grab it the first time around and I’d love to have it as a kind of comfort food. Thanks so much for your time and efforts! 💖

I’m currently struggling to just get through the apps for Nova, so I’m not sure if reprinting Hanakotoba is an option at this point. If more people show interest, we may be able to offer it in a bundle with Nova, but this is all dependent on interest. It wouldn’t make sense financially to reprint unless we have 500+ people interested.

On that note, if you would be interested in a Hanakotoba reprint alongside Nova, please like or reblog this post! Those numbers will be a better answer than anything I can say!

So sorry for all the delays! Mods are still working and deciding and being very careful with decisions, especially since we won’t start work until after season 8 airs in December, we are taking the time needed to make sure we do it right. NOVA is a Voltron: Legendary Defender fanzine dedicated to Shiro x Keith, this time, with a cosmic theme. All proceeds will be going to charity: water.

Writer Applications:

You must provide one fic under 2.5k words, Sheith focused. This work must be self contained, as we are trying to gauge your skill at short fiction. The form will ask for an Ao3 link.

Artist Applications:

We ask for two works, at least one Sheith focused. You can link the image from whatever site you prefer.

Applications with other skills:

Cosplay? Animation? Photography? Whatever your talents may be, we’d love to hear about them! The form will give you options to share links to examples of your talent!

Hi! I’ve applied, but after looking at one of the pieces I’ve applied with, I want to change it cause I feel it doesn’t show my art ability as it did back then! Is there a way I can change it? I went back into my emails to see if I could edit my application but it wouldn’t allow me

Hi, how firm is the 2.5k word limit? If I have a fic that's 2.8k would that be okay to submit for an application?

Yeah, the limit isn’t super firm, we’re just trying to get an idea of what you would be making for the book. 2.8k is fine for the application!

Hi! I'd like to apply for Nova zine, but for some reason I'm not able to send my application? There's not "send" button so I'm constantly going back and forth between the last 2 pages of your form, even though I have filled in every question. Could this be a bug?

Make sure that you have selected the top option on the art-specific application page! It will look something like “No, I'm only applying as an artist/I've already filled out my other information” and after clicking that you will be able to go to the final comments page.

Hello! I was trying to send my application for Nova, but after the page about other talents, It goes back to the one in which you must link art examples. I don't understand if it's a google form problem or if my links are not working. Thank you very much in advance

Just make sure you selected the right option on that last question, that determines where you go next. So if you selected “also as an artist” it will bring you back to the artist page. Make sure you select “No, I'm only applying with my special talent/I've already filled out my other information.”

Our friends over @charitywater have been helping us figure out exactly where our donation should go. Right now, we're looking at 2 projects in particular: one in Rwanda and one in Niger.

Niger Water Project

The climate in some parts of Niger worsens water supply issues and threatens maternal health. But we can help: choosing this project would bring clean water to 475 people and give community members time back in their days.

Rwanda Water Project

47% of people in the Gicumbi district in Rwanda lack access to adequate water. If we choose Rwanda, we can bring clean water to 275 people and help charity: water reach full coverage of the region.
