You were on set with the members of NCT 127 for one of their photoshoots for their latest comeback, you had come with Mark and was sitting in the dressing room with him and the other members, you were looking at something Doyoung was showing you on his phone, Mark was talking to Johnny about something when you felt him take out his phone.
โHere, let me show you,โ Mark says, you didnโt pay much attention to it as you kept talking to Doyoung about the video he had shown you, you turn to look at Mark just as he taps on his phone to unlock it, the lock screen background catching your attention immediately.
โAm I your lockscreen?โ You ask, Mark turns his head to look at you, eyes wide, he wasnโt expecting you to be looking at his phone when he was unlocking it, not when he had just heard you talking to Doyoung.
โYou werenโt supposed to see that,โ He says, you reach for his phone before pausing.
โCan I see it?โ You ask, he looks at you, your eyes were looking at him cutely and your lower lip was popped out.

A small thud causes you to jolt out of your wonderland. โShit.. what time is it?โ You sit up, heels touching your butt as you do. You look to the side to see your husband still sleeping. You reach over to your nightstand and you grab your phone. โItโs eight in the morning..โ you lightly huff and place your phone back on the nightstand.
Right as youโre about to slam your body back down onto the bed a little voice scares you. โMwah.โ You turn to see your daughter sitting on the floor covered in your makeup. โOh, myโ! Pearl, no!โ You jump out of bed and you grab the smashed makeup pallet that was sitting on the floor.
โHi mommy! I so buetifo!โ Your daughter giggles and cups her face. โWhatโs wrong, babe?โ Johnny groans and sits up from the bed. โOh, my.. how did you..โ you take a deep breath. โBabe, whatโs wrong.. woah.โ His voice trails off when he sees a big mess on the floor. โUh oh, pearl, you made a big mess.โ Johnny half hearted scolded the two year old.
Makeup dust was everywhere, your white marbled stained floor was painted in different colors. Blue, red, purple, green, gold, silver. The foundation was poured out on the floor and smeared with her tiny finger prints.
It felt unreal, how could a two year old do this by themselves?
Your daughter had makeup smudged all over her face. She had highlighter on, she had eyeshadow on her ears and lips, she had your Maybelline red lipstick on her forehead and chin. You could hear a faint whimper escape your daughters lips.
โOh, no. Pearl, no, baby.โ You cup your daughters face as she lets out a muffled cry. Thick, hot, tears rolled down her shimmery golden-brown cheeks. โOh, noo.โ You cooed, sipping her tears away, the powder of your makeup rubbing off just a bit. โDonโt cry, baby.โ Johnny hops out of the comfy bed and sits next to you. โHere, Iโll take her.โ
You hand your daughter to Johnny and he holds her in his arms. โHey, itโs okay. Donโt cry, you arenโt in trouble. Mommy was just worried about youโ, and her makeup but that doesnโt matter. Just donโt do that next time, okay?โ Johnnys words only make his two year old cry even harder.
Her sobs getting louder as she cries, she gets up from johnnys lap and waddles back over to you. โIโm buetifo?โ Your daughter asks in between her little cries. You frown and nod. โYes, you are. You are so beautiful, baby. So beautiful, just like mommy.โ Her cries soften but the hiccups donโt. โIโIโm buetifo?โ You nod again, wiping her tears away.
โBeautiful like daddy too.โ Johnny points to himself with playful nods. โYes, just like daddy too.โ You giggle at how he wanted to be included too.
โLetโs take the makeup off, okay?โ She nods and stands up from your lap. You take her little hand and guide her to the bathroom. โOkay, lets take this makeup off.โ You take your wipes and you wipe the makeup off.
It was satisfying watching the makeup get removed in a few swipes. You could see how johnny admired the both of you from the mirrors reflection. He looked at you both with hearts sparkling in his eyes. โThere we go! Itโs all off!โ Your daughter turns her head to the mirror and shows off her smile she got from her dad.
โNow you look even more beautiful!โ She nods and turns back to you. โThank you, mommy!โ You nod and give her a small kiss on his nose. โOkay, go play so me and daddy can get ready.โ You pull her off the counter and you set her down on her feet. โOkay, mommy.โ She runs past johnny and slowly walks down the stairs, not wanting to fall. Johnny walks in with a sigh.
โSheโs so naughty.โ You nod with a big huff. โIsnโt she just, makes me want another one honestly.โ Johnny raises an eyebrow with a frown mixed with a smirk. โYeah?โ You nod, getting tying your hair up so you could brush your teeth.
โSo likeโฆ right now?โ You pause and let your hair fall back down. โNot now,โ he shrugs but nods. โMaybe if we drop her off to like, Jaeminโs then yeah.โ He jumps in excitement. โAlright! Letโs go, baby!โ He cheers and does a little happy dance. โPearl! Get your iPad, lets go to uncle Jaemin!โ You shake your head as he runs out of the bathroom.
โWe still have all day..โ you mumble, thinking about how crazy he is.
Johnnyโs tone was playful, teasing, as he leaned towards you in the car. The both of you had just left after filming the interview, comfortably situated in the back seats, but Johnny could tell you seemed a bit more tense than usual.
You rolled your eyes. โI take back everything nice I said after that little stunt you pulled.โ
Johnny couldnโt help but smile at your pissed off expression, the raise of your chin, and the pucker between your eyes. He knew you were definitely pissedโbut not to the point that youโd stay that way.
โWhat did I do, exactly?โ he asked, thoroughly enjoying the memory of your wide eyes and hitched breath. He wanted it to mean he flustered you. He wanted it to mean that you were as head-over-heels for him as he was for you.
But he didnโt want to assume.
โYou... ,โ you trailed off, mind blank. What did he do? Honestly, you thought he was about to confess. You wanted him to confessโฆ maybe not during an interview, but you wished he would. You hoped he would.

โYou just acted like you were going to sayโฆ something else,โ you mumbled, bouncing your leg and drumming your fingers against the leather seats. He merely smiled in response and slid his hand up your thigh to rest his hand there again.

โOh, Y/N,โ he mused. He left it at that.
Closing your eyes and leaning your head back, you decided to enjoy what bit of Johnny you had at the moment. With his hand on your thigh, and the warmth of him beside you.

The weirdness could be left behind for now, it could be saved for later. You just wanted to savor this, what you had right nowโnothing mattered except you, Johnnyโฆ and the job you two had to do. So you smiled, exhaling deeply.
