You were on set with the members of NCT 127 for one of their photoshoots for their latest comeback, you had come with Mark and was sitting in the dressing room with him and the other members, you were looking at something Doyoung was showing you on his phone, Mark was talking to Johnny about something when you felt him take out his phone.
“Here, let me show you,” Mark says, you didn’t pay much attention to it as you kept talking to Doyoung about the video he had shown you, you turn to look at Mark just as he taps on his phone to unlock it, the lock screen background catching your attention immediately.
“Am I your lockscreen?” You ask, Mark turns his head to look at you, eyes wide, he wasn’t expecting you to be looking at his phone when he was unlocking it, not when he had just heard you talking to Doyoung.
“You weren’t supposed to see that,” He says, you reach for his phone before pausing.
“Can I see it?” You ask, he looks at you, your eyes were looking at him cutely and your lower lip was popped out.
“I…” He begins, you and Mark have been together for a few months now, almost four, and you had never once noticed his lock screen, although to be fair, he also hasn’t noticed your home screen, and this discovery was making your heart melt, you could hear the members starting to tease him, but you ignored them and kept looking at him.

a/n: okay so i tried my best to type out the words exactly like how i heard it in my mind. so ‘buetifo’ is beautiful if you couldn’t tell.
A small thud causes you to jolt out of your wonderland. “Shit.. what time is it?” You sit up, heels touching your butt as you do. You look to the side to see your husband still sleeping. You reach over to your nightstand and you grab your phone. “It’s eight in the morning..” you lightly huff and place your phone back on the nightstand.
Right as you’re about to slam your body back down onto the bed a little voice scares you. “Mwah.” You turn to see your daughter sitting on the floor covered in your makeup. “Oh, my—! Pearl, no!” You jump out of bed and you grab the smashed makeup pallet that was sitting on the floor.
“Hi mommy! I so buetifo!” Your daughter giggles and cups her face. “What’s wrong, babe?” Johnny groans and sits up from the bed. “Oh, my.. how did you..” you take a deep breath. “Babe, what’s wrong.. woah.” His voice trails off when he sees a big mess on the floor. “Uh oh, pearl, you made a big mess.” Johnny half hearted scolded the two year old.
Makeup dust was everywhere, your white marbled stained floor was painted in different colors. Blue, red, purple, green, gold, silver. The foundation was poured out on the floor and smeared with her tiny finger prints.
It felt unreal, how could a two year old do this by themselves?
Your daughter had makeup smudged all over her face. She had highlighter on, she had eyeshadow on her ears and lips, she had your Maybelline red lipstick on her forehead and chin. You could hear a faint whimper escape your daughters lips.
“Oh, no. Pearl, no, baby.” You cup your daughters face as she lets out a muffled cry. Thick, hot, tears rolled down her shimmery golden-brown cheeks. “Oh, noo.” You cooed, sipping her tears away, the powder of your makeup rubbing off just a bit. “Don’t cry, baby.” Johnny hops out of the comfy bed and sits next to you. “Here, I’ll take her.”
You hand your daughter to Johnny and he holds her in his arms. “Hey, it’s okay. Don’t cry, you aren’t in trouble. Mommy was just worried about you—, and her makeup but that doesn’t matter. Just don’t do that next time, okay?” Johnnys words only make his two year old cry even harder.
Her sobs getting louder as she cries, she gets up from johnnys lap and waddles back over to you. “I’m buetifo?” Your daughter asks in between her little cries. You frown and nod. “Yes, you are. You are so beautiful, baby. So beautiful, just like mommy.” Her cries soften but the hiccups don’t. “I—I’m buetifo?” You nod again, wiping her tears away.
“Beautiful like daddy too.” Johnny points to himself with playful nods. “Yes, just like daddy too.” You giggle at how he wanted to be included too.
“Let’s take the makeup off, okay?” She nods and stands up from your lap. You take her little hand and guide her to the bathroom. “Okay, lets take this makeup off.” You take your wipes and you wipe the makeup off.
It was satisfying watching the makeup get removed in a few swipes. You could see how johnny admired the both of you from the mirrors reflection. He looked at you both with hearts sparkling in his eyes. “There we go! It’s all off!” Your daughter turns her head to the mirror and shows off her smile she got from her dad.
“Now you look even more beautiful!” She nods and turns back to you. “Thank you, mommy!” You nod and give her a small kiss on his nose. “Okay, go play so me and daddy can get ready.” You pull her off the counter and you set her down on her feet. “Okay, mommy.” She runs past johnny and slowly walks down the stairs, not wanting to fall. Johnny walks in with a sigh.
“She’s so naughty.” You nod with a big huff. “Isn’t she just, makes me want another one honestly.” Johnny raises an eyebrow with a frown mixed with a smirk. “Yeah?” You nod, getting tying your hair up so you could brush your teeth.
“So like… right now?” You pause and let your hair fall back down. “Not now,” he shrugs but nods. “Maybe if we drop her off to like, Jaemin’s then yeah.” He jumps in excitement. “Alright! Let’s go, baby!” He cheers and does a little happy dance. “Pearl! Get your iPad, lets go to uncle Jaemin!” You shake your head as he runs out of the bathroom.
“We still have all day..” you mumble, thinking about how crazy he is.
Johnny’s tone was playful, teasing, as he leaned towards you in the car. The both of you had just left after filming the interview, comfortably situated in the back seats, but Johnny could tell you seemed a bit more tense than usual.
You rolled your eyes. “I take back everything nice I said after that little stunt you pulled.”
Johnny couldn’t help but smile at your pissed off expression, the raise of your chin, and the pucker between your eyes. He knew you were definitely pissed—but not to the point that you’d stay that way.
“What did I do, exactly?” he asked, thoroughly enjoying the memory of your wide eyes and hitched breath. He wanted it to mean he flustered you. He wanted it to mean that you were as head-over-heels for him as he was for you.
But he didn’t want to assume.
“You... ,” you trailed off, mind blank. What did he do? Honestly, you thought he was about to confess. You wanted him to confess… maybe not during an interview, but you wished he would. You hoped he would.
But he probably didn’t feel the same. You didn’t want to assume.
“You just acted like you were going to say… something else,” you mumbled, bouncing your leg and drumming your fingers against the leather seats. He merely smiled in response and slid his hand up your thigh to rest his hand there again.
You desperately tried to avoid the… feelings… that his action elicited. He really had to stop doing that to you.
“Oh, Y/N,” he mused. He left it at that.
Closing your eyes and leaning your head back, you decided to enjoy what bit of Johnny you had at the moment. With his hand on your thigh, and the warmth of him beside you.
Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.
You recalled the swipe of his finger against your lips, the way he tasted the sauce he wiped off. The way he touched your face, the way he had called you ‘love’, the way he stared at you…
You had it bad.
“But Kyungsoo’s perfect, right?”
Johnny’s voice snapped you from your thoughts. His tone was… unfamiliar. You looked over at him, head tilted.
“Hm?”
“You said Kyungsoo was perfect—in the interview. ‘A dream’, you said.”
You nodded, slowly. He seemed… jealous? Weird… but you decided to have fun with it, shaking off the pleasure the thought of his jealousy brought you.
Don’t dwell on it, dumbass. It doesn’t mean anything.
“He is a dream, John,” you affirmed, smiling. “Why? Jealous?”
He leaned forward, mface inches from yours, eyes hard. “And if I am?” His voice sent a pang of nerves through your body—it was hot.
You narrowed your eyes. He needed to stop messing with you.
“I’d tell you to get over it,” you responded, defiance coloring your tone. Your eyes softened. “And then I’d say I don’t know why you are… and that you’re confusing. I don’t get it.”
You felt like you were saying too much, that you were alluding to how you felt way more than you should. God, filming with him was supposed to be harder than promoting. Sex scenes and kissing on camera and scripted love declarations… that should have been the extent.
And then he starts pulling all this shit.
Johnny continued to stare at you for a moment, and you searched his face—his stupid, perfect face—for any indication of his thoughts.
Nothing.
Until he squeezed your thigh, suddenly, and grinned. Back to cheerful, familiar Johnny.
“We’re here!”
You blinked, looking past Johnny, out the window. You hadn’t even realized the car stopped.
“On to the next interview,” he said, reaching over you—his muscular arms brushing past your collarbones, your neck—to open your door. “Ready?”
The weirdness could be left behind for now, it could be saved for later. You just wanted to savor this, what you had right now—nothing mattered except you, Johnny… and the job you two had to do. So you smiled, exhaling deeply.
