Ta da! My little bundles of floral joy! Each courage had 4 flowers, but it felt too bare so I took apart the leftover flowers and stuck pedals throughout to fill in the gaps. The end result was a fuller looking mini wraist bouquet. Day 3. Corsages for my ladies. I found many tutorials and videos on DIY corsages, and absolutely loved the simplicity of building a corsage over a bracelet. Day 2. Part of the process was to literally throw a bunch of stuff together and shift them around until they resembled something that looked decent. At this point, past midnight, I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish or produce something beautiful on time. I was highly critical and hated all compositions. On top of it all, I was completely exhausted from having worked all day. My hubby, bless his heart, offered to help, but my stubborn Type-A self hoarded the project like a 5 year old in a sand box. I purchased 4 mini silk flower bouquets, and the first order of business was to disassemble them and sort them by likeness. At this point, I didn't know how the final products would look yet, but I felt this made for a good foundation. Before I start each project, the very first thing I do is research for inspirations. I don't like limiting myself to the norm so I love exploring different designs/concepts, and finding creative ways to use something that may not be all that special on its own. I toyed with the idea of crocheting lapel pins, but ultimately went with the classic. The week of my wedding, my mom requested that florals were a MUST... yup. Cue stress, time crunch, overpriced quotes for basic bouquets & 8 corsages/boutonnieres, and limited availabilities. The view from the front 😀 I adore the subtleties of colours in the yarn! This is my first time working a top-down raglan sweater, and the transfering of the sleeves to a waste yarn totally took me off guard, but thank goodness for YouTube! Found a really helpful video that showed me exactly what I needed as assurance.
